Dude. Thanks for bringing this back up. I had no idea this existed. Definitely made a difference in VR. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

I'm sure they have been working on regression testing and will time the update close to the Rift S release. Until then, they are probably just making sure the update didn't break more than it fixed. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

I'm willing to guess not well. LoL. Reverb would be awesome in Bigscreen but unless the upcoming VR update is God's gift to optimization I just don't think the perf is going to be desirable. Could be wrong though. Guess we'll see when people get them in the next week or so. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Considering reviews are posted for it I'll tell you what my source told me. His results in DCS were good. He had an opportunity to compare it directly to the Vive Pro and prefered the image in the Rift S to the Vive Pro. I'm unsure of his IPD so results could vary, but overall impression was enough to choose that over the vive pro. I can only imagine it had to do with the impact full RGB makes on clarity. Light stands? You talking about the constellation trackers? Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Wonder if NDA is lifted. A Birdy gave me some perspective on DCS with the Rift S the other day. [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Just remember the performance required from that increase in res. Reverb is designed for commercial uses not necessarily gaming applications. I see DCS struggling to optimize reverb res unless this VR update is as amazing as they say. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Everything will come to light here soon enough. Until folks get their hands on either one of these HMDs it doesn't really matter what specs are on paper. This competition is great though. VR for all my friends I say. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Are we still looking at October for new supply of Jetseats? I didn't see a price online. Anyone know? Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Have we seen specs on the Index yet? Aren't we still speculating on what it's going to bring besides the controllers and manual IPD? I'm hoping for the best as well, but I also want optimization before super high res panels. I'm not playing on something that's a stuttering mess just so I can read my altimeter. Thanks Wags. Sounds better than initial responses of the S. I know a lot of folks are anticipating the reverb but I'm not sure even a top of the line PC is going to be able to push those panels to desired performance. Especially without Fov rendering. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

I also saw ASW 2.0 was released today. ED, please utilize this new tech as soon as possible. With a 50% increase in performance and ASW 2.0 we could have an amazing experience. https://www.roadtovr.com/oculus-launches-asw-2-0-asynchronous-spacewarp/

I'm really looking forward to next week. I'm comfortable with the way Fbook is going because I believe they do have to build the customer base before a Gen2 product. As much as I'd love to have a top of the line, close to enterprise level product, it's not going to happen unless they see a profit out of it. Plus, the % of people willing to go spend a small fortune to run higher gen products is even smaller. I'm hoping consumer base grows with quest/rift S so supply and demand kicks in to produce more/cheaper in the years coming.

Agree with the following posts here. I've been playing VR for a couple of years now almost exclusively. I've done pancake mode (Track IR) a handful of times just to mess around with a new jet and keyboard commands, but it's hard. I'm a RL helicopter pilot, and trying to fly a helo on a 2d screen is significantly more difficult. VR brings spacial awareness a lot closer to what you need in real life for rotor wing. It is expensive to get into, but as a professional pilot who likes the flight sim hobby, it was worth it. Also, get voice attack. Makes using a keyboard way easier.

In for one myself. Order #1820. :joystick:

Haha. Yeah. Way out of the question for me. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Crushing it on the ideas. Thanks bro. It appears an obstacle to this idea is finding a latch pin/quick disconnect in size M4. I'll continue to look though.

Nice usage of PS  I've also thought of this idea, but I can't find a rotating mount that locks in place. You have something already in mind?
-
I gotcha. Smaller tubing into larger tubing secured by bolt.

Great ideas so far. Seems easy enough Brewnix. Svsmokey, do you have a picture for reference so I know exactly what you are describing. Gotwake. I don't personally, but work with some folks that could probably do what you are saying. I think I can visualize it myself.

All, I recently purchased a Puma collective from Pro Flight Trainer and I'm looking for ideas on how to mount it in a way that I can quickly go from my Hog throttle to the collective as required. You can see my throttle is currently bolted to a hinged shelf where the collective needs to go. I'm open for suggestions.:pilotfly: Here is the collective I ordered. Here are some pics of my SIM chair. Thanks!

Did you ever sell the Puma?
