Capped at 45FPS using "motionvector" in the MR driver settings

More testing at 5ghz. What I notice now is although the peak fps is about the same when at 5ghz compared to 4.0 or 4.4, the FPS is more stable (higher average fps). And if you look at the GPU usage graph its smoother at 5ghz.

Ahh, yeah I turned off motion reprojection for the tests.

Is it capped at 40fps? What's keeping the gpu from being at 100%?

Alright found the first noticeable bottleneck (with this test) at 3.6ghz

Well this is surprising to me, I dropped my 8700k down to 4.4ghz and saw no change. Actually a tad better and with a little less cpu usage. I'm going to test at 4.0ghz next..

Your GPU usage is at 100% and your CPU is normally around 75%? Interesting, post a screen shot. Do you have HT on or off with that 4c/8t 6700k?

Yeah totally, I intend to do a few tests, so if anyone wants to know a specific let me know. It wouldn't surprise me given how CPU bound DCS is if I only get 10% If I were you I would opt for a CPU upgrade, I think that would help you the most.

They do look to be more expensive now, I picked mine up for 475.00 on CL and remember 450 being a common sell price for a period but at 550 its a tough call.

You might consider is picking up a used evga 1080ti, evga has top notch customer service and 3 warranty, u don't have to be the original owner. I would be a nice improvement over the 1080.
