  1. Gotten sudden stuttering as well, worked flawlessly two weeks ago. Worked fine for months, the occasional dip or load, but not like this. After 10-15 minutes the game starts to stutter. I can even speed up the game and it will stutter at roughly 15 minutes of in-game time. It is a populated mission I've made myself and never had an issue. So I thought I'd just drop the aircraft roughly in the area the stutter start after the alloted in-game time to see what happens. Nothing. It's smooth as ever as when I start the mission. F/A-18 and the Gulf. A mission with just the player aircraft runs smooth of course. Specs: I7-6700k @ 4 ghz, 16 gb RAM @ 2133 mhz, Asus Z270i MB, Geforce 1070, mechanical HDD. Even lowering my graphics settings to the absolutelowest does nothing. I've disconnected my internet, only having mouse and keyboard attached and start the mission with player jet AI controlled instead, and everytime I've the same results. I've even rolled back to a restore point from March 21, and reinstalled DCS. Tried different Nvidia drivers. No change. Other games, like Arma 3, Assassins Creed Odyssey, heavily modded Skyrim, Ghost Recon Wildlands, no problem whatsoever. Have ordered 32 gig of RAM @ 2666 mhz and an SSD. I'm having doubts it'll do anything but...I'll see.
  2. I have a Asus ROG Strix Z270I Gaming (Mini-ITX) motherboard, and a Intel I7-6700K CPU. I'm currently on Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16 GIGs of RAM @ 2133mhz, and have concluded I need more. I'm eyeing Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 gig @ 2666 mhz. The motherboard supports those speeds. But for my CPU it reads: Memory Types DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V Can I still have use those memory sticks? Do I need to set a lower speed in BIOS? The 32 gig of RAM from same manufacturer at 2133 mhz are a lot more expensive for some reason, so I rather not buy those.
  3. Ahhh, I didn't understand the high.dynamic preset. My thanks, it does indeed work now.
  4. Can't get this work. Anybody like to upload a working autoexec.cfg file? Please. I can't stand the 10 mile radius with the LANTIRN.
  5. Ok, thanks guys, I'll take a look at that link as well.
  6. Kind of immersion breaking. Is there a graphical setting I need to set so they appear further out? I increased visible range to extreme but it did nothing.
  7. It's been up for some time https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304209/
  8. Dumb bombs, cluster munitions, Zuni rockets and LGBs, and the LANTIRN. If (and a big if) we get a F-14D we'll likely also have JDAM. Heatblur, from posts here, rather want to do a D than an upgraded B-model (that did also carry JDAM in the real world). Our Tomcat is a mid 1990s F-14 so no modern HUD or a backseat MFD. The F-14 does not carry any sort of stand off weaponry like Mavericks, SLAMERs, HARMs, Harpoons and so forth. The Tomcat carries up to four GBU 10/12/16s and two 24s. In regards to dumb bombs it was in real life cleared to carry four dumb bombs, but it was tested with a lot more. The DCS Tomcat can have up to 18 Mk82s for instance.
  9. No JDAM unless Heatblur make a F-14B Upgrade, or the F-14D. F-14B got JDAM in 2002 I believe, the F-14D got them just as OIF kicked off in 2003.
  10. Thank you, CVW-8! Awesome. Gonna try your Hornet, E-2, S-3, and CVN-71 skins as well. An entire air wing. Superb work.
  11. In the Hoggit thread one CVW-8 guy wrote two days ago that the liveries had been uploaded to DCS user files. They guess ED must scan for viruses. The files have not shown up yet.
  12. My God! Thank you so much. They are beautiful! Kudos to the artist.
  13. I would like to suggest that if you add target actions on a waypoint (bombing for instance) on a stationary target (a fuel tank on a airfield for instance, or a ME placed bunker) that you can tell Jester to lock the first target in the waypoin'ts action list, and obviously tell him to look for the second target (if any) and so forth.
  14. On Hoggit they said they were considering sharing them because of so many requests, but the artist is concerned that people will steal/modify his work. They are apparently one of a kind stencils, and he has worked 50 hours on them. Here's hoping they do release them. They look spectacular.
  15. Couldn't the waypoint system have been implemented better (or is that due to DCS)? We have 1, 2, 3, 4 (Home Base/Landing), and then the Navigation Target Points. But couldn't the Navigation Target Points been implemented in the regular waypoints via that you have to name them (FP, IP, ST, DP, HA) if you want them to show up in the F-14's system. Would have made things much easier creating missions. I could have assigned targets to IP, or any other actions to any specific waypoint (or Navigation Target Points if you will). Now...I have to be clever with the 1,2 and 3 waypoints and place one sort of near the IP-Navigation Target Point and then assign targets to the regular waypoint for the AI to know what stationary targets to attack.
  16. Yep, although maybe I need to be quicker on the key presses? I'll try that, but I get a black screen and run time error so fast the crash might be quicker than me.
  17. This is the best way I can describe it. Regardless of jet (Hornet or Tomcat), when I throttle down completely it only reaches 74% on the status bar. Is there someway to go lower percentage? Do I have to fiddle with the curves? It did the same with my ancient X-45.
  18. Removing it doesn't do it for me, still crashed hard back to desktop. I'll patiently wait.
  19. All new modules are released first in Open Beta, then after some times it's pushed to stable. A stress test if you will. I've read here it takes somewhere between 1 to 4 weeks before a module hits stable.
  20. I haven't gotten that far, but I saw a clip on YouTube where they suggested that one disable Jester through the Jester menu (temporarily). Try that. Sadly I cannot recall the YouTuber at the moment. Plus CVW-11s RIO school clip showcased a GBU drop in SP, so it must be doable.
  21. Of course, but we don't really know when. I read somewhere here that it usually takes 3-4 weeks before a module is pushed from beta to stable.
  22. Iran never flew the B. Simple as that. I'm sure the community will be makinc all sorts of skins for the F-14 in the near future.
  23. Exactly. I gave 10 dollars, because why not.
  24. Here's how you do it when playing solo. Doesn't seem to difficult to manage.
  25. Of the top of my head from the various YT videos we have these (with variations): VF-32 VF-74 VF-101 VF-102 VF-103 both Jolly Rogers and Sluggers VF-143 A Christmas themed one Jabbers
