Fragile people. You know as little as me unless you're a developer. But sure, I'll join the December 21 band wagon. :dunno: Well see what happens will be the last thing I'll say on this matter. The module is in good hands no matter what. It would be a great Christmas gift :pilotfly:

The virtual squads and air wings should continue the Fighter Fling tradition once the F-14 is released. Making a official DCS F-14 Fighter Fling for the year.
-
The RIO pit isn't done yet so I would not bank it for December. They didn't have nav lights either.
-
I have a similar problem for the non-player F/A-18C, the loadouts are not saved at all. Annoying to say the least, and there are no default loadouts.

No afterburners on takeoff for the B/D
GrizzlyBear83 replied to turkeydriver's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
The trailers have the Tomcats launch in full burner, so I guess it's doable without any problems. Time will tell ;) -
Thank you very much.

A bit tired of only having VFA-94, and want some other squads, specifically Atlantic fleet. The player F/A-18C lacks "some" weaponry so I use the AI Hornet for certain missions while building missions. So any liveries out there for it?
-
Exactly. People also flipped when the "last week in October-update" didn't show up until early November. I think, any developer should just not say any sort of definitive date even if they have one in mind (internally). I don't think the F-14 will come in December. January, maybe, but not December. If it does, sweet, but I have my doubts. January 4 would be a good date to ;)

Shame? The Bombcat is a smart business choice for Heatblur to roll out the B model before the A model; the advantages of better engines over the A, and you get both worlds (AA and AG), it probably makes the module a bit more attractive when you can do more.
-
The B-model we're getting is LANTIRN capable. Mid 1990s.

As title says, if I want to upload any mission I make in the future, where I've used custom skins (like VFA-94 and VFA-22 for the F/A-18C for instance), I should duly mention this in any description of the upload, but if a end user does not download said skins will there be some sort of prompt/error that something is missing and will the mission load at all and just have the Hornets revert to a random skin? Thanks.

VF-41 (F-14A) dropped LGBs in combat for the first time in 1995 over the Balkans (buddy lazed). VF-32 (F-14B) and VF-213 (F-14D) took part in Operation Desert Fox in 1998 and dropped LGBs (first combat use of the LANTIRN). VF-14 and VF-41 (F-14A) took part in Operation Allied Force, striking ground targets. VF-14, 41, 102, 211 and 213 (F-14A, B, and D) took part in Operation Enduring Freedom, and led numerous strikes against Afghanistan (over 605,000 kg of bombs were dropped). VF-2, 31, 32, 154 and 213 (F-14A, B, and D) took part in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

One to four GBUs.
-
No, that's regular F-14A Tomcats. VF-41 which flow A-models was the first squadron to drop bombs in anger in 1995 over Bosnia, they dropped LGBs buddy lazed by Hornets (or Intruders depending on sources).
-
Trigger down icon/marker. It indicates the pilot pressed the trigger, not exclusive to the A-10, and not OPSEC.
-
Well, yeah, but now we get both worlds so thumbs up to Heatblur. Fighting our way in to drop the GBUs. That's why I feel the F-15C is a little dull as I can only do air-to-air, and I yearn for a Strike Eagle. I do look forward to the F-14A and the Pacific Squadrons, and all the Cold War scenarios that will come out. I just want some options :)

I'm bit of the same boat, without the Bombcat I'm unsure if' I'd purchased it.

What happened to the RIOs after the Tomcat retired?
GrizzlyBear83 replied to sobe's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Several F-14 squadrons went to the F/A-18F Super Hornet, so they all transitioned along and became Weapon Systems Officers.
