I am not sure if this is operator error, DCS issue or something you guys can address. I have been flying he F4E in the Iran-Irak campaign. Flying mostly Sead missions as the campaign is just started. When we reach the IP point I order my wingmen to ‘Attack primary and rejoin’. What happens immediately is that my wingmen start flying towards waypoint 1.

Now I have noticed before that the waypoints on the F10 map never increment. The yellow dashed line always points to waypoint one. With previously run campaigns flying a Strike mission this was not an issue but I am wondering know. The Sead mission does not have concrete target to attack unlike a strike mission. Wondering if that causes my wingmen to return to waypoint 1.

    Any ideas?

    Hello
The ‘SEAD’ task has not been modified by DCE, it remains original to DCS.

However, I think that IA F4E have trouble with the sead in general.

Ok, hopefully it can be overcome, as the object "link" feature is used a lot on naval templates

    Thanks again,
And thanks again for the tests.

Well, this time we have taken into account the ‘link’, also tried to take into account the orientation of the ship and the names in the dictionary.

You can also use the .miz directly as a template (no need to transform it)

Having said that, to make sure it works, also name the template's ship group ‘REF_’.

However, I haven't been able to do any testing, and my regular tester (Cef^^) won't be around for a few weeks.

the names are now "DictKey ..." instead of the names used on the Static Template.

I rewrite the part to take into account the old name (Dickey_) and I realize that I could not recover everything, indeed, it seems that when you pass from the file .miz to the template, part of the original names disappear

that worked, also would be cool to check the red site as well, i think mig29s and the higher SUs might have an issue too.

Something is wrong with the red site as well ^^. just clicking save init causes error

can you try this version, and tell me if the problems with the decimal separator have been fixed? (save init)

in fact, as long as I haven't made any changes to the DCE_Manager, you shouldn't use it to save the oob.

you only need to do this with a text editor, directly on the \Init\oob_air_init.lua file.

    Hi all,

I suck at these missions and I keep getting owned because I do not know what exactly is happening. I would like enemy planes to be visible on the map. Can you tell me how to go about this please?

I have mapoptions set to All but it only shows the ground forces and ally planes.

    Thanks.

in the conf_mod file, check that you have this:
    [‘optionsView’] = ‘optview_all’,

if not, send me your generated .miz file

Thanks @Miguel21, sorry for not being more explicit, I will post every step with screenshots ASAP.

    @Pande4360
concerning the WOB campaign in MP and the request for escort type tasks only (SEAD...) without a MAIN type request (Strike...), I found an interesting approach (from my point of view ^^)

But I need a bit of time to make sure it works.
In the meantime, if you're in a hurry, deactivate the other F-16 squad, and possibly the B-52s.

mainly it happens when changing the player flight to f16 or generally when copying the campaign and then trying to open the edit section

    Before:

    ["Anti-ship Strike"] = 0.5,

    After:

    ["Anti-ship Strike"] = 0,5,

it's a problem with the decimal separator.
I think I'll be able to sort it out

    Thanks

Hello again, now i tried the War over Beirut Campaign, I noticed that you can edit active groups now in DCE, which i tried to do but on saving it had a critical error

    Hi, there,
can you give me more details, I can't reproduce the bug.

I understand that it is on the campaign: ‘War over Beirut-Blue’.

I modify one or two numbers, one or two unit activations in Init/blue, but I don't have this bug.

What is the sequence of your actions?

By the way, can you provide me with the two files?
    \Active\oob_air.lua
    and
    \Init\oob_air_init.lua

I'm afraid that the dot characters ‘.’ is replaced by a comma ‘,’ in the numerical variables.

I'm not sure if I'm using the utility correctly or it is a bug, but it seems the names of Units, Groups and Waypoints are not preserved when applying the Template .. for example I was testing with a Carrier fleet template, and after ASTI processes the mission I get this:

    Hi, there,

In fact, ASTI was mainly created to import large static sets where dynamic (simple) elements can be associated with them. (something that the DCS mission editor does very badly).

So it's true that we don't know how to import complex dynamic elements (such as aircraft with flight plans, aircraft carriers with associated aircraft, etc.) for the simple reason that the mission editor already does this very well.

Renaming elements and groups is mandatory.
If the user decides to import the same template 3 times, the names must be changed.
DCS does not support duplicate group.name, unit.name, groupId and unitId.

However, it's clear that I haven't taken into account the old DCS naming, I'll look into it.
In your case, the template calls the Dickey library, so it will call
     [‘DictKey_UnitName_7’] = ‘Roosevelt’,

I'll look into it, thanks for your feedback 🙂

PS: for the aircraft/static elements placed on an aircraft carrier, I hadn't planned that either, I'll check with Cef whether we're looking at that or not.

In MP when asking for a task,

    Hi,
so I'm sorry but I need a lot more information than that.

for me it's mainly used to reproduce the bug.
If I can reproduce it, I can help you.
    If not, well, no...

(basically, and to put it simply, I need exactly the choices (all the choices) that you made during mission generation)

    hi
what exactly are you asking for?
    target
    plane
    and task?

For the first mission or when returning from a mission?

    this kind of message?
if so, the latest version of DCE_Manager has been released to fine-tune ASTI (static template import...)

And as a result, we've ‘broken’ the rest a bit.
    Well, let's see...

Hey tried the "falcon over PG - NG" campaign and it seems to have some script issues, e.g. cant click on skip mission. and debrief also didnt work

    Good morning,
    did you use DCE_Manager?

What version of scriptsMod are you using?

    and which version of DCE_Manager?

Hello, I have really enjoyed DCE probably the most out of all "dynamic campaigns" because of the data tracking and it popping up after every mission.

I was curious if it was possible to create my own campaign or not? If so, are there any resources available to learn? I've tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything. I was interested in creating a USSR Afghan war and GWOT campaign if it's not too difficult to do and possible.

Thank you for your time. Have a good day.

    thanks for the flowers ^^
yes, of course, it's possible to do your own campaign, but I'll let Cef tell you about it

advantage you may or may not have

the advantage would be the possibility of having DCE missions / campaigns so that players can choose which modules to play and not get bogged down in specific ones

    disadvantage

more work for the creators, I believe

For the time being, we prefer to wait for things to stabilise, as we understand that the route (waypoint) is not implemented.
    Modded aircraft are not working.
What's more, it's not yet possible to add slottable aircraft in flight (Recovery...).

Ok looks like its fixed. Could you add or tell me how to add South Africa as a blue faction? Thanks!

    Hi, there,

In the Init\oob_air_init file, in the table of the desired aircraft, change the country variable:
    country = "South Afrika",

Change the squad name to something realistic/historical
Change the skin name too, if you know it, and that should do it.

    For info, all country names are available in the UTIL_Data.lua file, table dataCountry = {

I'm trying to add the mirage F1EE to the new beirut campaign and added strike missions as a mission set and when I run the start campaign script it gives me AtoG error: Mirage-F1EE no task Strike in the loadout for this unit:? WOB -- There are clearly strike loadouts in the campaign for it so not sure what the issue is.

I uploaded it in a hurry ^^ a fix for the loadout and a problem with the number of planes in flight.

If DCE_Manager doesn't suggest it, delete the upgrade.txt file in My Documents\DCE_Manager\.

Or press the "Reset" button in DCE_Manager

    ==:20.77.469:==
469 fixed [loadout] WOB Mirage F1 Strike
468 fixed [generator] very few or no red flights
467 modified [Spotter] modified CG_ArtySpotter script (merge Solo&MP), from Don Rudi M77 (testing...)

Hello @PB0_CEF, may have found a bug with the mission debriefing. I got one kill which is nicely reported at the bottom. It also reports that the package got 2 A2A kills but in the top summary it shows no kills.

thanks, but yes, it's in the known bugs.
That said, for the moment, you have your stats in the 'Scoreboard:' section at the bottom of the file.

Hey.  I am playing TF-71 campaign and have a question about turning the carrier into the wind.  When you call up that option, via F10.  There's two choices...30nm and 60 nm(I think, maybe different numbers, whatever).  Which do we use?  Also, in the manual it says not to ask for turn too soon.  So....when?  Does it relate to the 30-60nm thing?  Thanks.

Normally, we talk about minutes (mn) and not nautical miles (Nm).
I had put the 2 options (30 and 60mn (1h)) because 30mn seemed too short to put a group of players in MP.
If you're solo, test 30mn, but be aware that if you ask to land while it's still running, it will give you the wrong heading.
