  1. I can send them in from reasonable distances, but most times they simply do not hit. No matter if I use point or area mode, the missiles still land either too short or go beyond the target. Switching to F6 view still has the effect of making them fly straight and hit better. Hope this gets looked at soon. //edit: Fun fact - I can hit APC AAV7s fine but on Bradleys I miss almost 100%
  2. WOW doesn't seem to be working right. Following happens to me quite often: I got landing gear lever up/down mapped to a toggle switch. I sometimes forget to reset it to landing gear down before I load the plane cold and dark. Now, even if I switch it back to gear down before starting up the plane from cold and dark, and the gear handle in cockpit is moved back to the the down position, the gear will still come up as soon as hydraulics are alive.
  3. years later and those rockeyes still do no damage to SAM sites. No effect on a Hawk M192, now please don't tell me those flimsy launchers with exposed missiles are hardened targets.
  4. There's still something off. Even when meeting those limits oftentimes those bombs do not release. RDY is not crossed out, perfectly lined up, no sudden movements, fuze is set, audio cue comes, nothing happens.
  5. I wish there were more servers like this around. I don't like those servers overpopulated by AI or with no feel of purpose or scaled far too big, crashing every hour ... This one got its problems too, sure, like they all do, ... scripts run amok, server crashes - that's just DCS, but compared to other servers this one still delivers the best experience for me. Hope it comes back soon. :)
  6. now this time it seems to be gone for good. Web-map says it's online, but it's emtpy and doesn't show up ingame.
  7. Server went down a few minutes ago and doesn't seem to come back. Wasn't a regular mission restart either, server was quite populated and simply crashed. :( //edit: Nevermind. Was really taking a lot longer than usual and I gave it an extra minute or two before posting. It's back. :D

  10. Can we expect a hotfix at some point or is this going to be a waiting game? I'm a big fan of transparency in communication. So far testers did a good job in trying to calm people down and hand out information. But that information only goes so far. Some people say things along the lines of "at least there's no game breaking bug" but disappearing mouse for example really is. Maybe not to FC3 or SP only players, but MP flying Ka50, A10C or anything that absolutely needs the mouse is a nogo right now for me with the prospect of losing the mouse every second and just getting it back by guessing where the resume button might be in relation to current hidden mouse position while flying in a high threat environment ... no sir, no good. :) I don't want this to sound like a rant. I'm just really anxious to get back into my planes & choppers. :) //edit: Sorry, meant to post this in the mouse cursor thread, not here. But well, not too far off topic here either I guess :)
  11. Where can I follow the progress of that bug report? Right now this is game breaking for me since I exclusively play MP and well, losing the mouse in the middle of a long flight keeps ruining my weekend so far. ;) No more DCS for me until this is fixed.

  14. The issue persists. Mouse cursor dissapears completely within the game, happens randomly, no pattern so far. If you hover over a menu item by chance it gets highlighted and you can click stuff, but you see no cursor. Many ppl in MP reporting the same issue since 1.5.5
  15. Hehe the highest QFE ever measured is 3206 (32.06 inHg / 1085.7 hPa). I guess the DCS world works a little bit different :)
  16. It might have been easier to build from scratch, but come on, building a simpit using a real cockpit, the sound of that alone is worth the hassle, isn't it? :p

Yep it does, they are both wireless usb keyboards, windows 7 and the sim have raised no complaints so far :) Would be nice to have the 2nd keyboard as a programmable kind of joystick / gamepad device. Right now it's just simply 2 keyboards with normal mapping. The ufc keys 1,2,3 ... are mapped to Q,W,E... and so on.
  18. In the early nineties I stumbled upon MS Flight Simulator 4.0 ... that's when everything changed. :p I went through every phase there is ... I struggled with the keyboard, I bought many Joysticks over the years, I built a small autopilot panel out of a cardboard box with some switches, buttons the electronics of an old keyboard and glued an inkjet printed faceplate onto that ... I learned how to properly aviate and navigate with all different kinds of great free- and payware planes, I spent some time guiding people through the virtual airspace of the ivao network as an ATC ... I enjoyed the great dynamic campaign of Falcon 4.0 and there are countless more flightsim related things I did over the years ... ... but I never went all the way. I never went for the "premium package" when it comes to hardware. Well, I finally reached a new level. It's still humble, compared to all the other great pits around here, but it's evolving,... here's my current pit :) (I HAD to include my trackir hat, even though I'm not even a "fan" of united airlines ) The UFC-Keyboard contraption is still a work in progress. I glued the FWD, MID and AFT button on before I realized that those don't have any function modelled :p I might add some color patterns and remake the buttons in the process, those were just some dirty proof of concept (the font is wrong, was just some quick and dirty photoshop work I put together a few days ago right before I was about to go to sleep ;)). I quite like the concept though. The buttons are printed on a regular laser printer, laminated and then glued on with double sided tape. Some kind of faceplate and a glareshield is another thing I'm thinking about. Unfortunately the F7 doesn't work on the UFC keyboard, that's the main reason why there's another keyboard in front of it right now. I need to call AWACS every now and then ;) I might also add some panels in the near future, maybe starting with the electronics panel somehow mounted on the right side of the chair. The left screen is running Helios (below the right MFCD there's a bar which reveals the CDU controls when clicked. All copied and modified from Gadroc's awesome A10 Helios profile). I'm thinking about getting a touchpanel for that screen, or maybe I'll get the Thrustmaster MFDs and put them on there, not sure yet. The left screen is a 20,1" 1680x1050 monitor, if anyone knows where I can get a reasonably priced touchpanel for that kind of screen let me know (shipping to germany shouldn't cover half of the price tag if possible :p)

  20. On second thought, I think the above statement was futile.A one liner like that is not really gonna help or change anything, so I'm sorry about that. I didn't change my opinion in the last few hours, but I think I should have gone a bit more into detail why I came to those conclusions or say nothing at all.
  21. Great Job done with creating an outstanding Simulation. All messed up by bad marketing and DRM.
