  1. Design is nice and i have printed main body, bottom cover and small side panel and i can see some issues or need for some design improvements. For main body housing there is need to add some beams to give some structural strenght for housing. I havent had attached to any parts anywhere but i can see allready now it is too flexible. Attachment of whole unit to gas throttle lever. There are pieces what you can use to clamp to throttle but at the moment only method what i can see to attach them to actual housing is to superglue them. As side panels are also attached with superglue and you need to secure 4 bolts which connects main body and bottom cover, it is impossible to use bolts so that you can close them and also open them. You(or someone else) would need to do embedded place for nuts in bottom cover where they can sit and you attach bolt under. Only way to close housing now is to leave both sides open, hold nuts in place as you secure bolt and then superglue both ends. Then you have closed unit but you cant open that anymore if you need to. I hope someone has time to fix those issues i think this would be good base for DIY building.
  2. Ok. Lets say its common for HTC Vive/Pro users but i just wanted to check that you have received my PM's :) No rush, i have new toy VoiceAttack and Vaicom Pro to play around with for a while.
  3. When Vaicom Pro training mode for Microsoft Speech Engine is used does VP and VA interarct with Microsoft Speech engine so that it helps it to identify/recognise your speech better? Or is training mode purpose to modify your own speech so that software recognises your speech based on information what you see in Voice Attack window regarding identified word and confidence level? I am not 100% after reading section from manual few times how training mode really functions. I have spend some tens of minutes in training mode and i like to think that some keywords are identified better or higher confidence level than when i started training sessions.
  4. Any progress with Vive issues? I send you PM of my latests tests but i am not sure if you received that?
  5. I agree 100%. For simulator genre VR is most suitable at the moment. As long as you are sitting in some cockpit racecar, aeroplane , helicopter or truck all is good and it feels quite natural. But issue is when you need to start to simulate walking.
  6. Oh and i just thought it is my bad english accent as i try to command and VoiceAttack makes completely different things or do not recognise my "finglish". It is somehow relief to see that also native speakers seems to have some issues. That being said i am now tempted to try Vaicom with VoiceAttack to communitate mainly for radio commands.
  7. Still same issue. Focus functionality is not working and kneeboard is kind of alpha (you can see through it) When I check log I can see that it complains of missing dll module. I think this is missing because I do not have Windows tablet? 2019-08-19 08:36:57,857 [1] INFO VRKneeboard.App - Application Startup: 1.1.1.2 2019-08-19 08:36:57,977 [1] ERROR WintabDN.CWintabInfo - FAILED IsWintabAvailable: System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'Wintab32.dll': The specified module could not be found. 8. Ok what I can see is that it doest function like that with HTC Vive Pro at least for me. I am using it just in standalone version but I cant focus on that or interact with it. Do you have Rift what you have used for development?
  9. I did as you requested and this is only thing I get. 2019-08-18 15:08:57,142 [1] INFO VRKneeboard.App - Application Startup I did noticed that there was one focused event on log from yesterday as I was testing different things and tried to get VRK to function. I have tried changing DCS client to full screen and window (even though in VR mode it does not seem to make any difference) My headset I HTC Vive Pro, not Oculus.
  10. Here is attached screenshot of VRK settings. I use SteamVR to change VR settings. When you are using that application do you have anything set to OVRSteam application? Like I said VRK is showing what I suppose nonfocused kneeboard which is partly alpha/transparent. I assume that when I look at it, it should activate and also change size. But if I look at it, keep looking at it or try to point it with AIM it does not cause any interaction.
  11. If I add those command line options it still does not change 'kneeboard' view. It stays still alpha. I assume when you look at it, it should be zoomed bigger (what you have set as parameters in settings page) but nothing changes. I run it as standalone version.
  12. Hmm isn't that possible to have android application to change page by swiping screen? Like example how kindle/amazon books are done?
  13. I tested application and issue for me is that Kneeboard stays alpha and doesnt matter how I change setting values. There is this information in first post: The good news for Oculus owners (like me) is that SteamVR is complatible with Oculus devices too. It is just required that your (flight) simulator is compatible with SteamVR and can be forced to SteamVR mode. In case of DCS this is done by adding a command line option ( --force_steam_VR ) Where this --force steam_VR must be added?
  14. I would love to see Android-version of tablet implemented. There are far more Android options available.
  15. I hope that when you setup Discord it does not start to take your time away from production and development of software as everyone is then PM'ing to you and waiting responses. I am sure that none of us wants you to overburden yourself with all tasks you are doing. There are actual companies with different roles for what you are doing now pretty much alone :)
  16. Hello! As i am probably in next block to go in production do you want all information etc provided beforehand or when you give headsup that you are ready to produce next set?
  17. Hello I am another starting cockpit builder. I have had earlier Bodnar USB cards but i found DCS Bios and after testing few functionalities with Arduino Mega (few simple switches) and with help of very good documentation i just recently ordered bag of MAX487, 3x Nano cards, some wires and other necesary things to test out RS485 connection. And oh like many others I am building A10-C cockpit. I have been reading HanSolo's and Waghog and few other topics. Documentation of DCSBios is good and there is also lot of information around in forums. I think challenge is just finding that even with correct keyword as searches brings lot of information :)
  18. Actually it is not so difficult to put and assign different calculations to different cores if all those calculations would just stay in your computer. Problem is that when we are talking of multiplayer games which communicate via network to server sending data of your actions and also received data all what is happening around you is where problem comes. You need to make sure that all calculations done by different cores are in sync and delay between results stay withing acceptable limit that it does not cause strange effects or what someone could describe as warping or lag. It doesnt help also that there are machines with lot of diffent harwares and amount of cores with different memory and speed amounts. There has been a lot of discussions about this in iRacing forums where one of the developer has explained above problems.
  19. So as latest news tells about Viggen maybe we soon finally start to see some use for other cores also if developers move to trend that some of the weapon/aircraft system simulations calculations are done of other different cores. Interesting ofcourse will be how they manage it to keep it fluent and not cause any issues for netcode/multiplayer environment.
  20. This helped and now program is running again like I should
  21. Yes I was thinking same thing that there should be VR benchmarking tool. You could run test against different application and graphic settings to determine performance and optium settings.
  22. yes I know this very welll. I think my original point was that I made two different graphic scenarios with different Supersample settings and ttried to flew over same route in training mission where I know events etc are kept same so those are not creating unknown variation to FPS. When we play in multiplayer server there are lot of variables which affect including amount of other players, amount of scripts, part of the map etc.
  23. I try to understand this logic but I find it little bit hard If I monitor CPU usage right from monitor window and it shows 30% and we know that DCS is using mainly single core so I do not understand what multiplaying core load with core numbers brings into this. Or are you saying that monitoring softwares which shows core load do not snow it correctly. Sorry but I do not understand your explanation :(
  24. Sorry I probably dont have that Hornet campaign as I just bought Hornet. But to make it sure I do not claim that when I am playing in Multiplayer server that I have 90 FPS. I mainly have that FPS in 45. In my post 90 FPS was example to show CPU/GPU load. In Caucasus or PG in multiplayer servers I have like said about 45 which drops sometimes to lower but I try to keep settings so that it is 45 so that it stays stable and smooth to fly. For some reason in DCS 45 seems to be even enough when in many other games it will make you puke.
  25. If I put in SteamVR SS to 1 no motion smoothing in DCS Textures HIGH Ground Textures HIGH Visibilility range MEDIUM Civ traffic LOW Shadows OFF water LOW MSAA off AA 2x Tree rendering range I think something was it 40 percent or something (I am sorry but cant remember all other settings but they are low or off mostly) I take like example A10-C and Caucasus training mission "Familiarisation to HOTAS" I get 90 FPS If you VirusAM do not get same with your rig I recommend to check your other Nvidia and other settings. Remember also that when comparing I7-9900 and I5-9600K and VR we are mostly talking about single core performance and differences are not superior in there. Bigger differences comes with multicore performance.
