  4. Thanks for the feedback! I'm leaning towards gpu change..but that will also require a new PSU... I think my concern is if I go that route, and then the cpu is more bottleneck, I may kick myself for partial :-) Attached is another capture.. SP, Syria, F16, flying low on the settings above. I have: - resource monitor showing CPU around 55% - task manager showing GPU in the 70-90% - SteamVR Dev Frame Timing showing CPU/GPU.. usually around 16ms Edited: - Second attachment is the system/OC info...

  6. Current PC. i-7700K OC'd @4.8GHz, 32GB @ 3000MHz, M2, GTX 1080 8GB, Valve Index. I've read many many threads on bottleneck cpu for vr vs card, etc. Feels like I'm GPU bound.. leaning me toward just card upgrade... Currently running the settings quite low, (attached pic) with PD 1.0, SteamVR SS 120%. Task Manager will show GPU usually around 75-80%, and occasional spikes to 100%. 8GB Ram for card will be 100%. CPU will only ever sit around 55% regardless of 90 fps, 45fps, and the dips around airports in the 20-30 fps... I haven't bought fpsVR yet... Seems like im GFX bound, but no matter what setting I try i can't really get the CPU to increase. Last I read, perhaps try using PD to put more on CPU, and reduce the SS so less on GPU. But when I bumped PD to 1.3, and SS to 100%, the CPU really didnt change, but the GPU went up to 95%..soooo? I'd "assume" I should have CPU running at 80-90% like the GPU... Any help on balancing out CPU/GPU and what direction for upgrade to take is most appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Whats the status on this? I given up on the USA delivery for beta tests and perfectly fine with my $ going to help spread the dev costs... I’d like to know these may be finalized and ready for purchase though.
  8. Doubt it, but maybe that 49 number is for both engines (total)? I also thought the old joke was after the cat launch, first voice comms was to query the tanker :-)

  10. So that flag did solve the issue of keeping the display "inside" the MFD.. but maybe its just me...now i cannot read any of the button texts on top row. I fiddled a lot with the gain/contrast controls on the mfd.. and it sorta helped, but then the picture quality was shot...

  12. Anyone else seeing this? Left and Right MFD.. when the MAV-D WPN page is up, its actually larger than the screen dimensions. VR..Valve Index...

Here is a soundtrack recorded from VR index audio speaker to my phone, You should be able to hear the issue as a jump to / from afterburner. when its in AB, its quiet, when I'm out of AB you get that loud droning sound. Edit: this was a simple SP mission in PG. i would start mission, go to AB, eject. Then resume/restart in pit. After 3 ejects i got into this sound state DCS-F16_Sound.zip
  18. The back2spectators trick works. The one time i forgot, am hit the the sound bug! For jdf, GS, etc servers its fine. Anything more hardcore, ddcs for example where refueling/reloading from new base is not possible to ith this bug. Can we plz change the title.

  20. I get this too, and consistently on JDF server where you bail out each flight. It tends to be every other or every 3rd start. I haven’t noticed any specific state cause... ie left last flight at idle vs AB, eject vs land vs die, dogfight override vs nav, popped flares vs. none, etc etc It IS only in F16. Never have issue with f18, f15, p51... Sound issue is only in mil power, push into AB and it goes away, but drop back to mil and its comes back. Also only in cockpit, jump to F2 etc and sound is fine from any angle. VR valve index...
  21. How about a compromise? Hold 9gs as long as you are looking within 30deg of center, then its a sliding scale.. by the time you are looking at your tail, gs are down to 6max before gloc

  23. I think I'm going to be "pragmatic" and start with the base and angle adapter, and leverage my TMW stick for now... especially since the CE version isnt available till Dec 2021... :-) thanks for the input, the wait begins!
  24. thanks @RogueSqdn. It wasn't super clear which had BT/didnt need a base, and why that would be a feature :-) assume it still connects to the serial cable for power? Ie it doesnt have a battery in it does it? any other CE features other than BT and "paint"? :-)
  25. thanks for the feedback! Any thoughts on the "rough" resin finish as far as wear/tear/cleaning?
