To turn off the 10 minute delay on a server, go to %UserProfile%\Saved Games\YOUR_SERVER_NAME\Config\options.lua and set ["tacviewPlaybackDelay"] = 0

There is currently no way to do that. Your firewall should block any ports. But we will soon add functionality so that you can input 0 and the ports will be disabled.

Hi DackSter94, We made major improvements to the telemetry export in the past few updates. Currently you can export as many objects and as many parameters as you wish instead of being limited to 2 of each. You can also choose your own frame rate. Some of the most relevant details like latitude, longitude and altitude are automatically included in each export. Speed is displayed in m/s because those are the native units of Tacview and is easily convertible into any other units. Relative time is not always a round number, for example this could occur if the object did not exist at relative time 0. Usually the only thing that relative time would be used for is to perform further calculations such as speed and whether or not it's a round number wouldn't affect that. I hope this helps clear things up.

Hi Captain Orso, Disabling acmi file zip compression should prevent this. DCS -> Options -> Special -> Tacview -> Compression level -> Not compressed
-
Yes! If you would like your media file to be automatically synchronized with the telemetry, add the timestamp to the file name of your media file in the format YYYYMMDDTHHMMSSZ - so that October 24th 2019 at 09h15 UTC would be 20191024T091500Z. Then the media file will start playing exactly at 9:15 a.m. in your telemetry.

You can't get rid of the time box but you can make it smaller by clicking on Options -> UI Scaling. Map coordinates are displayed in the top-left corner when you CTRL-SHIFT-MOUSE on a point. We are working on putting together a Wiki to explain all the features of Tacview.
-
In a few updates, you should be able to unlock the Steam edition of Tacview Standard/Advanced with your current product key.
-
Wow that's gorgeous. We'll take a look when we get a chance - to see if we can support it natively.
-
Unfortunately no ... I don't think this is even supported by DCS World. If you do manage to change the time within the mission script you should be able to use remote control triggers to trigger your script.
-
Sorry this is not currently possible ... maybe in Tacview 2.0! What kind of a 3D mouse do you have? How does it work with programs in general? Maybe there is a simpler solution.
-
It's unlikely that Tacview could de-sync the server like that; Tacview does not write or change anything concerning the current flight/mission. Do you have the dcs log of the server after the crash? How do you know that Tacview crashed on the server? Do you have a screenshot of the message box or something similar?
-
Indeed, I even made a tutorial video! You can see the video and extra information here: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Synchronized_Audio/Video_Playback
-
Hi giullep, Tacview should be appearing in Module Manager -> Installed and in Options->Special If it's not there, please re-run the Tacview 1.8.0 installer. If that doesn't help, please share your dcs.log file with me so I can better understand what's happening on your end.
-
A stutter could occur if your mission is very complicated with a lot of objects; this is due to the DCS World Lua API. We have not made major changes to the exporter in years. Can you please try with the 1.7.6 to see if you have the same stutter? You can download the 1.7.6 at the bottom of this page: https://tacview.net/support/reportbug Can you please also share your dcs.log file and mission or trk file Maybe there is another add-on interfering
-
Other than its display options and the bug which will not allow players to be selected, the Active Objects List it should be behaving the same as before - it should be showing only aircraft with pilot names. If this is not the case can you please provide the acmi file and a screenshot of the list?
-
I am glad you asked! I have listed the mapping here in our very new wiki: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/DCS_World

Hi Crimson, thank you for the data. I have been unable to reproduce this issue. I think it may be a bug in DCS World. I am sorry I am not able to give you a better answer. We are keeping your feedback and files for future reference - maybe next time we re-work the exporter it will help us to narrow down the issue.
-
I don't know if Windows will support that. I will check. In Tacview 2.0 it will be possible for sure.
-
Now the active objects list can be docked or floating, and transparent if desired. This is considered an improvement. For example if you are doing a debriefing you should have the option to move the active object list off the 3D view. You should be able to place the window in the bottom right corner and add some transparency however you like it, and it will stay like that for you. Sorry for the trouble. It was pointed out in another thread that it is no longer possible to select an object from the active objects list. This is an oversight that will be fixed in Tacview 1.8.1
-
Hi Ares63, this is a great point. We had modified the window to better meet the needs of the French Army and completely forgot about this functionality. We will fix this in a coming update.
-
Hi Madfish, sorry I am not sure I understand. Radar locks are available only for local Flaming Cliffs aircraft because DCS World does not export the information for other aircraft. I don't think the orientation of the pilot's head is exported by DCS World either which is why this is not currently a feature. With this in mind have you noticed some regression or something that is missing?
