Hi, Terrain Export is intended for use in Tacview only. It is in SRTM format because that takes up less space.
-
Yes that will work!
-
Hi, please send an email to support@tacview.net . But if it was part of a group buy I might not have any record that a key was assigned to you. In that case only the person who completed the group buy would know which key is yours.

Hey everyone we just received word that the 10-minute delay issue on the dedicated servers should be resolved with the next open beta update of DCS!
-
Finally I understand what you mean! That's a good idea, I am adding it to our list. Thank you.
-
I still have the issue after the update! Would you be so kind as to share a server and client log of an instance where you don't have the issue? Maybe it will help our investigation.
-
Thank you for letting me know! I will check that on my end.

I thought you were asking about real-time telemetry, but if you are simply looking to make recordings, you'll be happy to know that the Tacview exporter will automatically record any flight made in DCS World and place it by default in the Documents/Tacview/ folder. Tacview does not have to be open and you do not have to press any key.
-
Yes, just have Tacview open during your flight and go to Recording → Real Time Telemetry. Here are more detailed instructions: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Real-Time_Telemetry:_DCS_World,_X-Plane,_Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_%26_Prepare3D

Thank you everybody, we are looking into this right away.

Hi, some of these options are the old options pre-Tacview 1.8.5. You need to use the new options as described here: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/User_Guide_–_DCS_World#Using_Tacview_with_DCS_World_Dedicated_Server Start by copy-pasting the options from the config/options.lua of your DCS install to the DCS dedicated server install and adjust them as desired Sorry I know it's a pain. Let me know if you have more questions - if something is not working please share Tacview logs of server and client.
-
Nothing else looks wrong in the log, but it is missing a lot of info since the module was turned off. If you share another log, with the module turned on, I will take another look.
-
Hi, Your log indicates that the Tacview exporter module is disabled. In DCS go to Options → Special → Tacview and make sure the box Tacview Module Enabled is ticked.

Hi, Thanks for sending the file. Now I see what that dotted line actually is. When two objects are selected as primary and secondary object (left and right drop-down menus) a green "line of sight" appears between the two. When the line of sight is blocked, by terrain or otherwise, the green line turns into the red dotted line you see in the screenshot, to indicate that the selected aircraft can no longer see each other.
-
Hi, Based on the screenshot and descriptions I am pretty sure that is a radar lock. (If I had the ACMI file I could tell you 100%). Since it is red, assuming you are the blue aircraft, it should be drawing a line to you from the red object which is tracking you on its radar. You can toggle radar locks on and off using the button shown in the screenshot attached

Hi, There is already an add-on which displays a control zone. You can see the code here: https://github.com/RaiaSoftwareInc/tacview.add-ons.lua (look for "control-zone"). To use it, go to Add-ons -> Enable/Disable Add-ons and select control-zone. Then go to Add-ons -> Control Zone and select Display Control Zone. I am attaching two unpublished add-ons which demonstrate how to attach an image or an object to a selected aircraft. You may need the latest beta for them to work. Un-zip the folder and place it in ProgramData\Tacview\AddOns\ and follow the same steps as above to enable them. Let me know if you need more info! display-avatar-2d.zip display-avatar-3d.zip

Thank you. I looked at this carefully and this is definitely a DCS bug. Tacview simply replays coordinates fed to it by DCS. I have seen this kind of DCS bug before, it happens sometimes. Sorry I don't have a better answer.
-
Hi, thanks for this report. Can you please share the ACMI file?
-
Thank you for trying!
-
Thanks for these extremely helpful details!! We are going to work on reproducing this.
-
Thank you. And if you simply disconnect then reconnect, does that fix the issue, or do you absolutely have to restart the server? Can you please share your log as a client of an incident where a 10-minute delay was imposed on you?
-
Thank you. This might be associated to a known bug where DCS is not calling Tacview DLL when expected under some conditions. When this happens, if you simply disconnect then reconnect, without restarting the server or anything, does that work at all? Also can you please share your server settings? I am especially curious to see what your pause settings are. Saved Games\DCS.openbeta_server\Config\serverSettings.lua

OK I see - Ideally I would like to see (1) a log of the server, (2) a log of a client connecting without a delay, and (3) a log of a client connecting with a 10-minute delay. Perhaps you don't have #3 but could you share #1 and #2 to start? (The client in #2 could be yourself connecting to your own server). Hi, In order for no one to have a 10-minute delay, tacviewRealTimeTelemetryPassword needs to be blank, i.e. ["tacviewRealTimeTelemetryPassword"] = "", (It is not possible to allow a user to have no 10-minute delay but to not have access to real-time telemetry, because this would be misleading, since it is basically the same thing) Let me know if this helps

Hi, Do you want the magnetic heading to be displayed in the HUD?
