  1. Hi, The Flight Log is Tacview's best effort to log events like "has fired", "has been hit by", "has been destroyed". The flight log can be exported to XML or CSV (File -> Export Flight Log) to allow you to create your own reporting.
  2. Hi, that would be pretty complicated, since we would need to know when the launch button was pushed or the trigger pulled. That information is not currently easily available to us. It is probably different for each aircraft. We are rewriting the exporter for Tacview 2.0 - maybe it will be possible after the rewrite.
  3. Thanks for the confirmation and for the information about the first and second client connecting simultaneously. We hope we will be able to fix this in Tacview 2.0. (the bug may be on the DCS World side, we are not sure)
  4. Hi, There is a known bug that the first player to join the server is not recorded when Tacview is set to Record One File Per Client. Have you tried this with multiple clients joining? Alternatively you can try starting a mission, joining the server, leaving the server, then joining the server again, and see if that works. Let me know!
  5. Hi, your settings look fine. Can you please share the DCS log of the server?
  6. Hi, here is all the latest info: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/FPS_Loss_While_Recording_Your_Flight_in_DCS_World
  7. Updating to the latest stable version should do the trick: https://tacview.net/download/latest/
  8. Hi, Can you please share the DCS log of the server? Also please share a screenshot of what your Real-Time Telemetry window looks like before you click connect: Hi, enable Pilot Line Of Sight through the Display Selected Objects Vectors menu:
  9. Right now there is no way to filter the objects that get exported, but we are interested in possibly implementing something in the future. It would help us to have just a dcs log from you (Saved Games\DCS\Logs) to see for ourselves exactly what kinds of unimportant objects are causing the performance issues compared to the important objects.
  10. Hi, Here is some information and workarounds about FPS loss with DCS: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/FPS_Loss_While_Recording_Your_Flight_in_DCS_World Could you please share a DCS log of an instance where performance is suffering? It could help us come up with new ideas.
  11. Hi Yar, We are experimenting with new ideas to export static objects such as buildings, but it is too early to be published because there are performance and setup challenges. We hope that the next time we rewrite the DCS World Exporter we will be able to include static objects. Hi, we had the same idea and we are experimenting with health bars. Hope to make it a reality one day!
  12. That makes sense to me because if there is no telemetry being exported at all, Tacview creates an empty file, and an empty file may be discarded if there are instructions to discard small files (even if it is more than 10 seconds as you explained). If you still have the log I would be happy to take a look at it.
  13. Hi, if you are having issues such as empty ACMI files it's a great idea to place the Tacview line first in the file Scripts\Export.lua, and if this fixes the issue, this means that one of the other lines, for one of the other add-ons, is causing an error in that file. Generally you can spot the error in the DCS log if you search for references to EXPORT.LUA.
  14. Announcing Tacview's Holiday Sale 2021-2022: 40% off Tacview Standard and Advanced from December 22nd to January 5th. To upgrade from Tacview Standard to Tacview Advanced at an equivalent discount, send us an email at support@tacview.net. Happy flying! https://tacview.net/purchase/
  15. The current version of Tacview is 1.8.7 so please make sure you have downloaded and installed that version here: https://tacview.net/download/latest/ This error can occur when there are Tacview files in the DCS World folder. Tacview should install itself in the Saved Games folder only. Can you try running Repair DCS World Open Beta? This should get rid of any Tacview files which do not belong in the DCS World folder.
  16. Here's how: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Putting_together_custom_elevation_data_and_terrain_textures
  17. I was kinda wondering the same thing. If it's radar you can remove it with this button:
  18. lol I don't know what that is. Can you please share your ACMI file?
  19. Okay, if that doesn't work please share your ACMI file and a screenshot. Maybe it is something else I am not thinking of.
  20. Hi, red dotted line is heading, enable/disable it through the Display Selected Objects Vectors button:
  21. This is now possible with Tacview 1.8.7 beta 17: https://tacview.net/download/beta/ For each instance of DCS go to Saved Games\DCS.INSTANCE\Config\options.lua and add to the Tacview options the following, using your own desired file path: ["tacviewExportPath"] = "C:\\Downloads\\DCS Open Beta Server ACMI\\"
  22. I am no good at modifying .obj files but you can grab the .obj file here: https://github.com/Vyrtuoz/Tacview/tree/master/3D Models/Data/Meshes and change it, using Blender or something, to include a transparent glideslope - see how the propellers on some aircraft are transparent. Then use these instructions to use your modified file instead of the original one: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Technical_Reference_-_3D_Objects This is also the answer to your question about how to attach an object to another object. It should also be possible to accomplish this via an add-on: See examples and documentation here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tacview (beta)\AddOns\ and here: https://github.com/RaiaSoftwareInc/tacview.add-ons.lua On our Discord https://discord.com/invite/qe26hQzSSf there is a lua-scripting channel. ***HOWEVER*** I have thought of something else which might be much easier ... I thought of using the existing Radar properties to create a glideslope. In this case the glideslope originates from the center of the object which is not perfect but I think it looks good. I included a screenshot and an ACMI file. Open the ACMI file in a text editor and play with the Radar properties to change the size and angles of the "glideslope". See details about each Radar property here: https://tacview.net/documentation/acmi/ Let me know if you think use of the existing Radar properties is good enough for your purposes. Then I could write a very simple add-on. Admiral K.txt.acmi
  23. I have been thinking about your question and the only two ways I can think of is (a) change the .obj file itself to include a transparent glideslope or (b) write an add-on. No easy answer!
  24. There aren't any themes exactly but you can customize the terrain textures: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Technical_Reference_-_Terrain_Textures You can use the Remote Control feature to control the current local aircraft: https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Remote_Control
