This is my rendition of a ThrustmasterWarthog helper ...I have blanks if desired let me know. FLIGHT/COMMS is RSMAPPING running in background to give more buttons if needed.

Your blank here Jiggle ON/OFF is where the plane viewed floats in trhe view LSHIFT+J stops it from floating. I have other blanks only diffrence is the throttle levers. Autocadd drawn my "go by" while I fly. Got one for each plane I try to fly (F/A-18, AV-8B, F-14, p-51, P-47 Huey). Just for self help I started making one in 2010 or so with blank spots here and there for additions as I discover them. Anyone want a totally blank little helper? P-47D warthog test.pdf

Pre HUD ladder As reported by a member of Grim Reapers group this is my representation of what a early non HUD version of a ladder would be in a horizontal horizon in a P-47. Use for bombing dive angles and climbing angles in a ZOOM.

In my settings I have G-forces to none...How do I get rid of the blackouts! I do play in game mode just because I can't control flying in simulation, I spin out of conttrol, anyway in all my other modules I haven't seen blackouts. Very frustrating when i just about to shoot, any thoughts?

Thank you Ala13 ManOWar for your tip. I will use the no flaps on my Zoom execution. The reason I have been asking is clearly marked on the wing flap (exterior view) is 10, 20, 40. The 40 I guess is for landing (full), the 20 I guess is for takeoff (half)....what is the 10 for? Flaps are used in an aircraft for lift so why the 10? just asking... again thank you!

Buying into the Boom n Zoom technique... dive and Boom no problem. Have a couple of questions mostly in the Zoom aspect. In Zoom and altitude recovery after shooting, should I use a small 10 degree flaps to aid or no flaps just the dive speed alone? What angle aspect should I put the plane in to have optimum altitude recovery? Thank you!!

Communication sequences? Working on a communication sequences through RSMapper. I have the sequence I desired now... How do I map it to a Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick button when the game does not have one since the comms menus are done on screen via mouse? Is this possible? I have profiled my HOTAS and trying to fill up buttons for actions. Thank you, Gayle

[Video] P-47D 2.5.6.52196 Update - A whole new Plane

Since yesterday and the UPDATE P-47 I have shot down 5 planes. I can actually catch up to planes and see pieces coming off at all distances as I shoot. I never could dog fight well in a 47 or a 51 because of lack of speed, just Ai out flying me all the time. This update feels good and puts me in the sim with a chance.....thank you!! -

After all the waiting to get P-47D and they said wait so they can get it right.....YEA it's finally here...the one thing I laughed about is the fact their default yellow checkered P-47D which is GEORGIOUS has two US insignia's on the bottom wing where there should only be ONE!! It's a small thing I know. One on the top and one on the bottom that's it. Hoping for some new skins that don't have this!:pilotfly::pilotfly:

More of the same type technique from another source using P-51D which could also work with a P-47. I think it ts something that is from another pilots video.... proof there is something to it. It sure beats getting smoked AI after AI with no direction toward fighting. ...AND...

Good dog fighting go by Watched a great dogfighting video from Phil Styles who was swatting down AI left and right. I'm not at good at it AT ALL and need help, so my question came from this very video. I had noticed in horizontal turn fighting his flaps were maybe at 10% most of the time vs "do not use them at all" methods. P-47 labeled as a zoom and boom type fighter and me getting stuck in turns or up/down fights....this got me to ask the question. Waggs himself had commented a month before on this video on the P-47's wobbling nose while heavy elevator use and if he is watching Phil's video then I take Phil's methods as valid!!

You may start in a boom and zoom surprise attack, all good and well but eventually it will end up with someone in a horizontal turn fight or a vertical up and down fight. My question is about the combat flaps! For a horizontal turn fight, when and how much do you use your flaps? In a vertical up/down fight when and how much do you use your flaps?

How can I make a formation where I am any spot but lead plane so I can follow? P-47 has an instant mission in free flight where you are the number 3 plane in a 3-ship formation so I know it can be done. Any advise?

Putting all my hopes on the up and coming water injection to give me the speed I am needing. I have individually placed sliders for the throttle, propeller control and booster levers so I can control as best I can my MP, RPM, heat and speed as per specs. Still I find the FW and 109s all over me and around me. I need more speed even if it is for 10 minutes MAX! Diving gives me some speed but I find I was too far away even with good height advantage to get there in time. A spark in the accelerator when I hit the gas sound like just what I need. " when I say go ..I MEAN GO!!

Just curious, S.O.P. a dive maneuver doesn't that leave you at a low altitude to do much of anything but a long climb resulting in time enough for Germans to catch up, still be on your 6 and attack from a height advantage?
