Talk is Apache is probably going to be like Hind as far as Autopilot is concerned. That being said.... Hind also has all the "Trim Hat" commands (IE: Nose down, Nose up, Roll left, Roll right) for fine tuning the in flight controls....PLUS the Trim button and Trim Reset used for the "Force trim" function. My question is will Apache have the Hat trims too like the Hind for fine tuning the in flight controls? Ka-50 and Huey does not have any "Trim Hat" commands at all in their Control Options but both do have the Trim control button and the Trim Reset for the "Force Trim" function along with their own autopilot commands Thank you!

Having trouble getting Force Trim switch to activate in the Huey. Control options says LALT+U is the key that does it.. Trying to get this going as it should be like AH-64D Force Trim.

Is there a differnce between the Force Trim release (which I now understand is for recentering the joystick) and the FMC Release Switch?

So forced trim IS the Autopilot for the AH-64D. Hover mode, I guess, is the HUD representation to "guide" you with a look straight down for you to adjust you cyclic with?

Worked out external views on VoiceAttack...Yea! Now for AH-64D what can I use for comms in VoiceAttack? Something from Hinds comm??

Does any one have a VoiceAttack profile that deals with all or any of the external views? New to VoiceAttack and looking for a go by.

This is the way I am seeing the Warthog/Xbox controller system for Apache. In all the Warthog exampled it shows one force trim button on the joystick in a up direction only for use. The Xbox controller shows the D pad with force trim giving "up-right-down-left" abilitys when no modified buttons are pressed, I am guessing. So again I am guessing I hand off to myself from the Warthog for the Xbox to handle the forced trimming needs of the helicopter? Just trying to get a grip on how this is to go! I have autocad sheat sheets I have used inall my DCS planes. Helicopters is a new area for me. Thank you.

Draken35, I like what you have going with the addition of the gamepad. I have TM Warthog combo myself. If I buy just the gamepad can I add it by itself into DCS? I currently have no other devices. Thanks! gdotts

Wouldn't a Huey be a fly by wire type helicopter? What future technology was in play back then?

I have Huey, KA-50 and Hind for DCS helicopters. Each has its own flight characteristics. Which "one" is best for practice toward the flight model of the AH-64D??

Will the AH-64D be able to set up in imperial or metric for distances to objects, waypoints, gas in the cockpit instruments and WAS?

In mission editor armament on all pylons. Fire weapon with warthog trigger... Weapons panel showing armed switch up... HUD reticle showing.... selector switch for specific armaments I go through one by one and press trigger NOTHING HAPPENS. I have viewed videos on armament over and over.

need command to hide cyclic so I can get to weapons panel.

I have made a mission to start on runway hot and ready to go. Rotors are rotating good wheel break off. I add throttle RPM and give it a little collective. IT JUST SITS THERE!! What am I doing wrong!!

After takeoff 200-600 feet I sometimes get into this extreme spin that is hard to get out of. I have a TM warthog joystick and HOTAS combo with a Logitech G rudder pedals and use the rudders them to straighten out torque from the revved up collective in gaining altitude. Using the rudder sometimes isn't enough to cancel the spin. Did I go too heavy on the collective in order to gain altitude and it caused an extreme spin?? Please advise!

EVERY UPCOMING MODULE from DCS and all the other developers are waiting to release their modules contingent on seeing just how clouds are going to affect their product. Which means tons of waiting on our part and no insight. Especially from DCS..... so the whole hold up is DCS!!!

I totally blame the PANDEMIC...stuck at home since Feburary, no job, no going out to eat, no friends and DCS as my only out from chores no football on TV and a 18 year old daughter drama queen who knows everything stuck here with me too. HOLD ON....saw in May a few Kiowa videos along with podcasts saying coming in 2020!! So i get excited "big time"!... for months every day I run to the PC too looking for news on Kiowa!! Don't worry guys I know its the pandemic giving me this fever. Yes I need to get a life I'll work on that meanwhile work hard boys and I'll start gardening in the mean time. Oh boy, Walmart has a sale on top soil...let me get my mask. Good luck!

I don't blame Polychop after the massive blasting a lot of people handed them for not really wanting to give news of any kind. Everyday I check the forum and discord but Kiowa is flying under the radar. Hope to hear from them and wishing them the best!

Just a thought... Where are the skins showing up in instant action located? Why can't we use them since they are all ready there? They are beautiful looking skins and pilots let's use them!!

Skins needed Yes I noticed the new A-10c II skins missing from the mission editor..... where as they do show up for the instant action. For the mission editor the old A-10C skins and pilots show up only. So are we all on skin watch 2020?
