  1. not looking for luck
  2. Sorry for double post. What difference does how many bars im running? I know more bars will slow scan down but if I know the range and altitude of the target and I put the cursor there, and the altitude window brackets the targets altitude, I should get a hit. I generally use 4 bar and switch to 2 for close work
  3. Maintenance Logbook: 1. A/A Radar not detecting most targets. Enemy closing from 80 miles as called By AWACS. Range and altitude parameters checked and double checked. No changes to search parameters and target suddenly appears around 25 miles. TACVIEW confirms target within search parameters entire time. Happens over and over again. 2. SA not displaying most targets as called by AWACS, They simply don't appear until radar detects them. 3. IFF not working, yes IFF and D/L are ON. Locked targets and unlocked targets, cursor over target on radar or SA display, confirmed sensor control depress mapping, no response, All of these systems worked fine previously. I know there are reasons where these systems wont detect targets, i.e. terrain masking, notching etc but this is not the case. Ill be flying with F14s and F18s and the 14 has the targets and none of the 18s can pick them up.
  4. no that wont work, all the action is below that ball which is essentially just a cover
  5. to mouse click on the comms menu, find the white dot that trails the mouse arrow and use that to select and click...pretty weird
  6. because…..BECAUSE....dammit.
  7. is there a non beta ssa? mine keeps "disconnecting" (doesn't work) after the first flight. I have to shut it and dcs down and restart to get it working. was ok before 1.3.7.0
  8. is there a non beta ssa?

  10. in dcs, be sure to select the option to restrict the mouse to the dcs window, and in voice attack, I had better luck assigning target to "active window" instead of dcs
  11. is there any way to get the old simshaker version that had free souncard support before he mysteriously disabled it and a paywhere soundcard support appeared? 05/20/2018 New SSA version with separate SoundModule installation! I released a new SSA version without the SoundModule. it requires now a separate installation. This should emphasise, that SSA, developed and maintained by me, is freeware and the SoundModule is a payware AddOn developed by Andre...
  12. it has to be the white dot to control the scratchpad window, similar to the white dot that can select comms menu items while the blue cross can not. im not in game right now but I believe that if you initiate comms menu, you will get the white dot that then moves with your mouse, Sorry if this is cryptic, hit me up if you need help beyond this. Also try chic's solution, I believe he solved this issue in a more sophisticated way.
  13. I just assigned a different button on the joystick for the "press", and slew with the tdc slew as always. works great but eats a button. I use the tdc slew press for my uncage

  15. im guessing, but I believe that for tactical reasons, you want the ability to determine your own groundspeed over the target. otherwise, the computer might tell you that you need to be doing 250kts for example. That is too slow for a hostile environment. So, make a waypoint outside the hot zone, and tell the computer the groundspeed you want to be at so you have good energy, say 500 kts. It will then get you to the point prior to the target waypoint at the right time so you can then accelerate to your desired safe high energy state AND arrive at the target on time.

  17. assuming you already run VoiceAttack, after installing scratchpad mod,... The dictation commands come from the "OTHER " Menu, also {DICTATION} is a token (don't know what that really means) but its case sensitive
  18. Works great in conjunction with VoiceAttack's dictation. I have mine set up so when I say "scratch pad", the scratch pad opens and VoiceAttack then takes whatever I say and converts it to text on the windows clipboard. When I am done speaking, I highlight whatever text is leftover in scratchpad from the previous use, or, if I don't want to replace it, just put the cursor in scratchpad at the end of the previous text, and then I say "display". At that point, VoiceAttack stops its dictation mode and pastes the windows clipboard contents into scratchpad. "close" command closes scratchpad....Alittle refinement will take the clumsiness out of it but its a great help in VR.
