I have tried all the way up to 6B 80nm. Just trying anything. I’ve started at 1B though 40nm. I don’t know what you are referring to antenna altitude. I have come up from below pointing up at where AWACS states target is at. Nothing.

I cannot find the enemy aircraft on radar. I’ve talked to AWACS and got bearing and altitude. Nowhere will my radar pick up the aircraft but it shows up in my EW monitor. I can’t blow the jet up if I can’t get him in radar.

I’m looking forward to trying the JDAMS. I saw an update talking about that.

I know how to watch the track of a mission but how do I save clips throughout the flight? I want to take certain parts the mission and then use a video editor to compile them.

Should I install the stable version or the OB? I talked to someone saying the newer updates are on the OB but not on stable yet. The HARM TOO mode for example. Only the SP mode is on stable version. I thought the stable version would have it.

The problem I also had was the ROE was weapons hold. Am I able to jam with my aircraft as well?

I had a radar lock at 23.2 miles. All of a sudden I was only visual and couldn’t get a lock on again and was shot down. Why did the radar lock just drop. The same mission earlier I was right on a mig 29 at range 8nm and my radar lock went to a flashing lost. I have spent hours upon hours trying to beat the mission.

The other problem is I don’t even know where the mig is at close range. I’m looking at radar but don’t see anything because it has gotten behind me.

How do I know what direction a missile is coming from when looking at the RW display? I just see boxes and lines that are flashing.

Camera angle I am brand new to DCS and the whole screenshot and recording world. I saw a video online where the perso had recorded a mission. One of the scenes was them shooting off a harm and then shortly after going to a view of the Sam sites and watching them explode one by one. Any thoughts on how to reproduce? I know I have to save track first. What would I need to record? Anything free? I’m just doing it for fun, not professional or anything like that. Just for my friends and I.

Is a flare or chaff better in a dog fight? What’s a good program for dogfight? I’m trying to pass a mission with 3 mig 29’s with my wingman shot down. I can’t seem to evade these missiles. It doesn’t help have to wait ROE weapons hold. Any thoughts? I had not stop tones. At first I thought they were air defense until I was able to visualize one of the Migs. I ended getting shot down with no missiles lock tone.

Update on AP. I created a deadzone. Working well. Now if I could keep my jet on the runway on take off. It’s all over the place. Smallest rudder movement and I’m everywhere like a car sliding in ice

Well that’s disappointing. I’ve never owned a DCS product so I don’t know a typical timeline for an early access product. I fly the VRS F18E in FSX. Hopefully at the end of the early access it will be fully functioning.

Ok so it’s still A/A not A/G. Am I missing something about ground radar status? The mini updates page doesn’t say anything recently that I can see unless it’s in one of the other 14 pages in that thread.

I saw in wags update recently talking about LTWS but I didn’t know if that was for ground radar or not. I was sent a thread about status of ground radar but saw nothing except the LTWS and the new bombs.

What is LTWS? I’m not familiar with the terminology. I know it is track while scanning but what is it used for? Air? Ground?

Any update on ground radar status? I currently have to go to map editor and jot down latitude longitude coordinates on ground targets and manually put them into a waypoint to e able to bomb it.

I don’t get anything on the left DDI. When I click on baronor radar altitude hold, I get no semicolons. Still heading has semi colons but nothing happens. Not even my ATC. So strange!

I have 2 sidewinders 5 AIM7 missiles. Yet when I arm and engage A/A it only selects the Sidewinder. No option to step to the AIM. Could I have a bad module? I noticed I still only have HARM TOO mode as well. I saw the video from wag on YouTube showing it. How does the aircraft update? Do I have to manually update?

I have tried using the HSI to set heading and I have also tried to use the heading on the UFC gauge heading select with the semicolon next to heading but nothing seems to respond. Nor does the radar altitude or barometric altitude hold or the attitude hold. I’ve hit the AP and seen the semicolons and nothing responds

The mission was from a user. All the airports were blue and neutral.

Shouldn't I be able to re-arm my weapons at any airport as long as it is neutral? I was in a mission where I only had a few bombs with way too many targets, so I decided to land at an airport to re-arm. The resources shows all weapons available. Why won't the ground crew re-arm my weapons?
