  1. Well. So after a week or so of Reverb: I love it, but as it is my first VR headset my expectations were high and in some way they were fulfilled I think. Some things I noticed: 1. too many things have to be opened, WMR Home, SteamVR, fpsVR and sometimes there's all this confusion with the mouse and desktop, DCS, and alt+tab win+y, it's annoying af!! 2. I can see the lenses when using the VR, not all the time, but I certainly can see them some of the times (and the black frame around the lenses). I guess for the simulators this is what you would see in some way with the helmet/goggles on. My IPD is 60 something ;p 3. I see jagged edges in some parts of the hangar (in IL2 and DCS), and on some of the "stuff" @ Steam VR home, there's also random trembling fonts and other items that I can't seem to resolve. (I have a external powered USB 3.0 hub) 4. there's so many things that can add or kill performance, enhance or blur instruments, is mind blowing and even following setup tutorials one item can work for one person and not really for other the hit and miss trial and error is tiresome. 5. Monitoring fpsVR my old 4770 is almost all the time on red/orange and my 2070 super is trying her best to keep it up. 16 gb ram maybe on the edge. 30/40 fps on DCS single player, flying around. Missions will take a hit. On IL2 it's always 35/45 single and MP but much more smooth. A breeze. Thanks for all the input on this topic! It's a game changer!
  2. Ahh it was couple of pages/days ago. I was in the middle of a dilema between this and the Rift S, and I solved by making a decision, now I've got to own it. If it works, fine, if it doesn't it will force me to upgrade my computer  About the USB power, I asked because I was making the order and thought about buying all at once, but let's see it first, act later. Thanks for all the replys :smilewink:
  3. Well, I asked for some guidance here and there was none :( , but anyway I pulled the trigger on the Reverb Pro, so let's hope this post gets some more love.:thumbup: I've read it that is advisable to plug the VR to a external power source of some USB kind. Is it still true or just the early models? If yes what do you use? Thanks!!
  4. Hey hello! I've asked in the Rift S section, what was their opinion on their VR on my computer, and I've come here to ask the same as I don't know yet what to buy: Rift S as they are sold out are almost at the same price as the Reverb. I also plan to upgrade to a new computer (keeping the GPU) prly next year or later this one. I play DCS (I don't do MP) but I also play Elite and maybe I'll give a retry on the "new" version o IL2. What do you reckon? THANKS!:) Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 932MHz ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z97-A NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (Gigabyte) & SSDs!
  5. Sorry, I just copy pasted what was on Speccy. Maybe it's wrong :| 4095x2 will give 8190 don't know if its related EDIT, so any help? ;D
  6. I think I can get a Rift S for 300 ish euro. Will it work fine, can I get better, or this is the right stuff for the specs? The COVID thing is giving me lots of time to play;D I only play offline and I have 60+ fps sometimes over 100. Thanks!!! Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 932MHz (10-11-10-30) ASUSTeK. Z97-A (SOCKET 1150) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (Gigabyte) SSD hd!
  7. Thank you again for all the replies, those are some really nice options for now! I just find it weird that DCS was working fine, getting and out of the game, missions and such and now after getting the F-14 is suddenly really slow (menu wise!) Anyway. Gonna use this isolation time to get some parts and study future investments.:thumbup: UPDATE: bought 16 gb ram and a RTX 2070 Super and I have a "new computer"! First test 120 fps. And then I started to add things and it ran around 70 or 80. But the loading times are almost gone;D
  8. Okey thanks guys! My SSD were bought by the time I built it, so I guess they're outdated also. Maybe I can use the cooling system a Corsair Hydro something. Well, time to save some money.
  9. I've been lazy and missed some of trends and must need upgrades, and now after all these years I just bought the F-14 and it stutters a lot. And I think I might be liking the idea of VR. But first things first, I know you guys get these threads everyday, but I don't even know where to start and this corona thing is getting on my nerves. Does this worth an upgrade? THANKS!! Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z97-A (SOCKET 1150) 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (MSI) I have SSDs a Warthog and TrackIR 5
  10. YEAH! ;D thanks!!!
  11. Still getting the hang of it and I struggle sometimes with some incontinence performance. I noticed that my throttles are one 97 and another 98 (on another note, full MIL should be 100? or 100 is full AB) I Have the HOTAS Warthog and I defined each throttle to the left and right, maybe that's the problem?
  12. djesus, so a new PC? ;D I thought I could get away with a new GPU and RAM myyy oh myy lol thanks for the reply!!;)
  13. So I need some kind of advice: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28) ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z97-A (SOCKET 1150) 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (MSI) Is it worth upgrading? What and To what? THANKS! ;D wife is approving so...... : ) (drives are SSD)
  14. does this work for a single screen? I've tried and when I restarted DCS it was a black screen and had to kill it through task manager. thanks
  15. awright, that sounds ok to me!! thanks!;D
  16. Okey, thanks! Their site is really confusing, so I buy a standard one and email them for info on the joystick plate and throttle upgrade? EDIT: okey, the European version site is confusing, that one is more simpler. ;D
  17. Just got a TM Warthog as a xmas present and I've been trying to deal with the huge amount of solutions on where to mount it. This one looks really nice. But this one is not the Warthog Deluxe V2 with 3 mounts, right? So if isn't, what is it? And do you need a special "mount" for the stick without plate? I'm sorry I have like 10000 tabs open with warthog stuff, maybe I missed something. Thanks!
  18. Well I didnt have DCS World so I installed + A-10C and the problem was sorted ;P not quite a fix, but an upgrade, im happy anyways! thanks
  19. Look, I think you're missing the point here, after I "installed" that eye view "mod", all of a sudden this is my "view" from a parked all off A-10C. This is like lilliputland. :( maybe this can be solved with a fresh View folder, or a new installation.
  20. Im not sure it addresses my problem of having a hog "on a tree" (yes thats exactly what you feel in cockpit, every object is below you, like if you were in some sort of gigant A-10), but ill try it on later. I've replaced with the "backup files" and it remains unfixed..
  21. I have the exact same problem plus this : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101458 this all happened after trying this mod:/ help? anyone?
  22. I was messing around with the Eye Point head position ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68821 ) while I was on the air, at that time I noticed there was a problem with the HUD zoom, but I thought it was something related with the snap views, so I quited the game and did that editing on view.lua file. After that I decided to try it on the runway. The things got worse the problem wasnt only with the HUD zoom, everything was well below me like if it was seating on a tree! check out the screenshot. I cant seem to find the answer. On the outside views everything's normal as expected. I replaced the files again with the default provided but the result is the same. EDIT: activated the key again, all ok, but the problem remains
  23. Yap, but you still have to aim reach and click on the switches :D
  24. I used that one too! After posting my dilemma I've read somewhere in this forum that it helps alot on operations on the lower consoles to "look" up and then force recenter of Trackir, this will enable you too look down easily and without the trouble of offsetting the led capture and neck pains;D. The same solution would fit in an eventual dogfight. Im yet to test this "tweak" but it seems plausible.
  25. Hello, I was away from the sim world quite a long time with a mix frustration of no time and no trackir. Having bought Trackir 5 (hat version of the "sensor"), its has been a long learning process but it definitely feels better done the static cockpit. The only thing that it is still hard for me is to look down for the side consoles, specially during ramp procedures. The main problem is looking down, the second is the head wobbling. Ok that I can "solve" by pressing pause, but it feels unnatural to constantly try to reach certain knobs while it somehow feels like I have Parkinson :( Now, do you guys use it extensively for those tasks, even in mid flight or use some kind of snap view? If yes, witch ones?
