  1. Hey Guys! The USS America LHA-6 has departed port and headed for sea. With that said i have released her. You can find her on page one # 19 USS America (LHA-6), is an amphibious assault ship of the United States Navy and the lead ship of her class. The fourth U.S. warship to be named for the United States of America, she was delivered in spring of 2014, replacing Peleliu of the Tarawa class. Her mission is to act as the flagship of an expeditionary strike group or amphibious ready group, carrying part of a Marine expeditionary unit into battle and putting them ashore with helicopters and V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, supported by F-35B Lightning II aircraft and helicopter gunships. As always please let me know of any major issues such as weapons not working or aircraft crashing on deck and so forth. As mentioned the Elevator are NOT operational.   2. speedboat.lua Within Max we can adjust the depth elevation and also adjust the height of the collision model but that's all that i know of in Max. So i took the code from America and added it to another vessel and it locked my PC up hard!! I had to do a hard shutdown and i don't like doing that. Lesson learned! There have to be something in there.
  3. Something else i tried. There's code in the speedboat called GT.riverCraft = true, tried that with a bigger ship but nothing changed. The USS America can transit around the entire harbor almost to include the outermost areas. But why is the question? Why the America and not other craft.
  4. No joy with swapping America's collision model to another model! I think it's the main lua. When it comes to mods. The Game Engine reads the main lua and only see's the mods as objects. The game knows the mod is a aircraft or ship by the main lua and reads the animations and lighting that has been configured. The LCAC, LCU and my Weapons barge can transit the channel as well.
  5. Yes, America has a large collision model. I have some models without a collision model and they still don't work. Yes, they just need to resolve it but that gives me an idea also... I will test the America's collision with another model and see what happens..
  6. Thanks Guys! Your right the mods are definitely not payware. If they were i would be selling them on the market. If there was a modeling class i could take i would be the first in line. But thanks Markinel, Bungo, Eddie and Hawkeye i've faired very well for one person doing all the modeling. As mentioned modeling is my medicine for my PAIN!! I fully agree Eddie and i still don't understand why the biggest mod i have can maneuver all over the Harbor. I have tested all of the other mods and none can transit the harbor. I've tried changing the ship type coding in the lua but still no change. The Game engine can definitely tell which mod is which. The mods that do function are below. Also, i'm starting to see some 2.7 issues. Some of my small mods aren't functioning anymore. The Iranian Patrol Boat is broken but its an easy fix. I'm finishing up the USS America for release later today.

  8. Hey Woogey, no i haven't. I did notice they released two civilian vessels out of no where but they probably noticed i kept releasing ships and they were'n. Morpheus, Civilian vessels will be next. Promise you! I will be taking a break for a while but when i return i will be releasing civilian vessels.
  9. Hey Bruddy, It seems they fixed it for the USS America lol because it's the only large ship i have that can transit the harbor. None of EDs AI ships can transit it. Not even the perry class. Nineline stated their will be more updates to it in later patches. Proof is in the pudding. You can see the Perry and the Arleigh aren't moving. I know for a fact that the games engine somehow read the vessels weight. Well the America is the heaviest ship i have and it glides through the Harbor with ease at 27 knots. Today i will try to make sure all areas of the ship are textured and working properly. Yesterday we seen a glitch with RAZBAMs mods. The Harrier wouldn't launch with stores from the Tarawa. I will test again today.
  10. So i wanted to take a photo of the inner Harbor using the Captains view on the USS America when i realized the ship was moving. Odd thing though! It's the only ship mod that i have that will transit the harbor. So i need look and see why she's able to transit and not the other ships. Take a look!!
  11. Thanks Gonano still more work to do but i will finish her....I don't think i have time to change the numbers for the USS Tripoli this weekend but i will try.. I added a Captains view so we can watch flights operations while underway..
  12. Gonano4 i don't see any 3d models of the R-11 Príncipe de Asturias out there. Also there's a spanish team that create model ships as well. They may be planning it but i'm not sure. America Update! I've spent the last couple hours adding detail. Getting hur done!!
  13. That's correct! I call it ripping the mod. So you remove all other shapes but the Lafayette mod. I didn't create one because Damientrix already created one. I wanted bring you all some news i just seen. So the UK Battle Group pulled in Guam. Well i can also see that the USS America is moored there as well. More motivation for me!! America is coming along great. We have gotten past some collision errors and so now i'm fine tuning. Still on schedule for release this weekend.

  16. I ran a test yesterday and the San Antonio FPS is higher than the America.. If you like i can send you my copy which is the same as uploaded... Not sure what happened with that model.. i created it the same as i do all.. also, i reduced the size of America yesterday and i received the same FPS so i will leave as is unless i get a lot of complaints..
  17. Good Morning Esac, Thanks! What is considered a good FPS. I'm currently using a Geforce RTX 2060. With only the USS America in SIM i'm getting an FPS 101 on the high end. The model file is a little big so if need be i will reduce it. I haven't heard any negativity from the testers on FPS so i think it's good.
  18. Thank you Sushy! You all are the reason why i keep creating models. The models aren't perfect but i keep trying!! I promise you all the model will be released this week. Something i learned is ED created the CVN's Hangar separately so i will attempt the same but it may not be complete by the weekend. Stay Tuned!!
  19. Hey Penguin, I haven't released them yet that's why you don't see them and yes when i finish the America i will need to inspect them all for any issues before release!! America Update! I finally figured out how to make the Landing Lights work. So they are all operational now. With that said i will be releasing her soon for you all to enjoy!!

  21. Hey Scorch71! No one ever mentioned that. The America doesn't have and so from now on i will change the name of the glass texture. Thanks for letting me know! Spino, that is an option but right now I have a lot of ships I need to create... A lott.. After I finish the America I will take a short break from modeling!! I will still model but on a very small scale. USS America Update! I'm just waiting for a few people to test aircraft on deck and I will release her. I think you all will enjoy her. As mentioned and i will say again. The Elevators and the landing lights are not operational at the moment but I will get them to work!! Thank you all for your patience!!
  22. Thanks Toan! No Penquin, i haven't released her yet. Not more i can do to her other than what's been mentioned. I have someone testing her now looking for issues that i can correct before release. Also, you asked about making the Osprey operate like a Helicopter. I attempted it but it didn't work. The Osprey is configured to fly like an airplane.
  23. Thanks Cacetudo!! All of this wouldn't be possible without DCS!! I tried to fill up the deck to give you an idea of how many Aircraft can be placed on her.. Those are all Static Aircraft! I forgot to mention! There will be two versions.. USS America and USS Tripoli! I need to work on replacing the Hull Numbers for the Tripoli but i will release the America First! I will continue to work on this model after release. I need work on the Lineup Lights and Elevators!! Stay Tuned i will release her soon!
  24. Afternoon Guys! I wanted to share some screen shots with you all.. All my testing with AI Aircraft have went well so far. I also tested the Osprey as you can see below. I would like to know how many of you can fly the Harrier or F-35 in SIM? As you know i'm more of a Mariner. I can sail ships all day but i'm not a Pilot AKA Airdale as we called them in the U.S. Navy!! Let me know!
  25. WEAPONS TEST UPDATE! All weapons fired as they should. America defended herself very well.. Next i need to iron out the kinks with AI Aircraft and helicopter takeoff. As mentioned i will release her soon! Stay Tuned!
