Hi, I had the issue that, once I go into ACM setup in the Viper, I couldn´t use vertical aqusition, borsight and so on. After some testing it tuned out that my TDC microstick had minimal inputs. Therefore I ended up in SLEW mode every time impossible to activate other modes in any ways. Solution was to define a deadzone. This is reproducable. I this on purpose, or a bug, because the imput is very minimal. cheers

Can the Reverb G2 controllers be configured under OpenXR?
Rampster replied to Bowman-011's topic in Virtual Reality
I play it using my Reverb G2 Controller for buttons, switches, rotaries and so on in the cockpit and have no issues at all and I meant that ED integrated OpenXR native support. No need to copy in some OpenXR files or using OpenComposite anymore. I also don´t use the OpenXR toolkit. I have the standalone Version, maybe different with Steam. -

The issue has been fixed since ED put in "native WMR headset support". Now you can again use the controllers w/o any issues (at least for the G2). Turning knobs, using switches, no problem anymore. -
Thx! This one is really nice imho. I just printed it and it fits perferctly into my f18 pit. Just replace the f18 UFC with this one and I´m sitting in the Mudhen.

Pretty late answer from my end , but VA is a good alternative, will try it. But the feel using the VR controller to do a real salute would be awesome though. Point-Ctrl is great, but I try to minimize stuff ^^ Thx

Can the Reverb G2 controllers be configured under OpenXR?
Rampster replied to Bowman-011's topic in Virtual Reality
Have the same problem. For me the controller are only doing mouse left click (trigger) and mouse wheel down (grip button). Nothing else and this is very unusable. In addition the controller have a vertical misalignment around 30° upwards. You will notice it if you have the laser and compare it against the position of your index finger if you point at something. This is not a problem from DCS, this is a OpenXR thing, since you have it in the OpenXR demo scene too. Question is, have someone else experienced it and was able to solve it? cheers -
Hi, is it somehow possible to do a salute with the VR controller to get launched of the carrier? (Tried the search but hadn´t a result, but I´m pretty bad using the search though) cheers

Just to add: In VR the clouds are like described, but if you use the rear view mirrors in VR and look into the mirrors, the clouds are fine.

Hi, the pilots hands are not correctly bound to the VR controller of the Reverb G2. The pilots wrist is bound to the ring of the controller, but the controler ring is in front of the grip. Result is that the VR hand starts with the wrist at the controller ring. This is around 5 to 8cm to far away, breaking the immersion, make it feel weird and makes it hard to push buttons. Same like the Oculus thread: Cheers

Hello, I discovered a weird problem with using my HP Reverb G2 and it´s controller flying the Hornet. If you are using the VR hands in the cockpit they can grab the flightstick when it is hidden. You can move the hands around w/o issues. If you want to change a switch/knob/press a button, you have to press the thumb button on the WMR controller. Then you can use the VR-Finger or the VR Laserpointer to aim and change states. This is working surprisingly good. The big BUT is, it is working as long as the flightstick is not in the way (even if hidden). If it is and you press the grab button on the WMR controller, the hand grabs the invisible stick and steers the jet. This happens mostly if you try to use the MPCD or the counter measures panel. cheers

Disable flight stick in cockpit when using VR possible?
Rampster replied to Rampster's topic in Virtual Reality
@speed-of-heat: you are right. maybe this was some misleading. I came from Track-IR with 3 monitors and I was using the mouse before with the Rift S, because the controller was not usable in the cockpit. Now with the Reverb G2 it is really good (view and controls) and I removed my homepit with the TM MFDs and my self built UFC. If you put the WMR controller close to the HOTAS, then it is easy to grab them w/o taking a look. Actually its the same as using the mouse on the knees. You can move the hands around w/o issues. If you want to change a switch/knob/press a button, you have to press the thumb button on the WMR controller. Then you can use the VR-Finger or the VR Laserpointer to aim and change states. This is working surprisingly good if you give it a try and get used to it. The big BUT is, it is working as long as the flightstick is not in the way (hidden or not). If it is and you press the grab button on the WMR controller, the hand grabs the stick and steers the hornet. This happens mostly if you try to use the MPCD or the counter measures panel. I think this is a bug then and I should post it in the bug section...... -

Disable flight stick in cockpit when using VR possible?
Rampster replied to Rampster's topic in Virtual Reality
The VR hands grabbing it regardless if it is hidden or not. So i want to have it completely gone. This is cool as long as you want to fly it completely with the WMR controller..... but I want to use my HOTAS only. -
Hi, is it possible to completely disable the flight stick in the cockpit when using VR and not just hide it? I´m playing with Reverb G2 ant it´s controller. Really awesome. But when I try to switch or turn buttons which are somehow behind the flightstick, the hand is grabbing it 5 to 7 out of 10 times and everything goes crazy. This is really annoying, so I want to disable it. I tried searching, but wasn´t able to find something....... cheers
