  1. I'm still curious about why that solution isn't advised
  2. Oh my god i love it!! This is the kind of detail i adore in my immersive games, thankyou so much! It's a real shame you don't get bullet holes in the glass when shot at eh.
  3. I can never wait for an Apache  Is there an ETA yet?
  4. They are mounted on external pylons.... Anyway it was just a question, nevermind. Thanks for the replies.
  5. Ah i see, that would make a lot of sense actually. I bet it wouldn't be too hard for few engineers to add said wiring and modify the pylons to accept the weapons. At the most it would be a hefty job but not impossible.
  6. I'm curious as it would be quite handy having 24 guided missiles onboard. If they don't do it in reality for a good reason then i guess i can just forget about it. But otherwise perhaps someone could make a mod to allow it?
  7. Wow dude, i was literally just about to post my feedback on that very point as i just flew a mission with a Ka-50 co-copilot and i found the contrast quite off-putting and actually very worrying at times as i thought i was over-stressing my own engines. Thanks for the update! I shall give them a try now.
  8. It's defo a different one, this one is better in my opinion. In fact the best i've heard
  9. Love them both, but Nate's took my preference, i love more oomph!
  10. You'd think they'd fix an engine bug like that for a new separate game
  11. Ah i'm glad you posted this, i've been meaning to get around to reporting this very issue myself but have been too busy. You have saved me some time. It's bloody horrible especially at night. So in what way is it not recommended? Why is it a bad solution? What are the negative side effects? Cheers
  12. Well my mum already had the visor i used, the webcam was about 12 quid i think, and the high-visibility tape was about four quid, but you could probably get it cheaper if you looked around. I'm Vanguard on that forum by the way, here is my thread detailing my experiences in going from not knowing a thing about Freetrack, to being quite proficient in it and the construction of my headset http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1613
  13. Yeah i did as well, took me days! It's because it's in a different colour, if they'd just left it alone it would have appeared as an option and not some kind of sub-heading
  14. lol, love the sig, Sohei. I had the exact same problem, it's annoying. You should look into building your own head-tracking system, it's loads cheaper than TrackIR, there is free software for it. Here's the forum for Freetrack http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopicgroup=11 There isn't really a way without it :<
  15. "Jerk Since TrackIR 4 Pro Installed" Yeah everyone who installs TrackIR becomes a jerk.
  16. Yeah, should we link it to the bin\stable folder, or the Ka-50 folder?
  17. "In Vista unless the game specifically has a setting built in to disable Vsync, you cannot turn it off." Sorry but that is completely inaccurate information, i've been using Vista for ages now and have only just enabled vsync as i've got a new TFT monitor, the rotors looked really bad in-game without vsync, so i enabled it in the nvidia control panel. I have never had it enabled until now in any game.
  18. I'm not sure if this is any help http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/8599/ka50keychartxl4.jpg
  19. Hmm nah it's all just normal, this is annoying
  20. The problem wasn't caused by the mods, it was working fine with them, then suddenly the audio stopped one time.
  21. Ahhh thankyou so much! I've been looking everywhere trying to figure this out, the fact that it is highlighted in green in the drop-down made my eyes completely skip over it every time i looked in the controls.
  22. I have this problem too, also changing views seems to affect it. There is no consistent engine sound when in the cockpit for me, different things such as pausing and view changing seems to alter it. It is quite annoying, as it's hard to tell how much power you have applied to the engines at times. I have a realtek onboard soundcard, on Vista 64
  23. Hello! Recently i've suddenly lost all wingman speech as well as the Ka-50's Betty vocal alerts, such as "Engine fire!" etc. With the wingman speech, if i issue a command, there is just silence for a few seconds, followed by a radio click, which would usually be where the speech terminates. I have a few mods installed, but none that would interfere with the audio. The audio files are in the folders, there is no reason i can see that would be causing this. I haven't attempted a re-install yet, as that is a last resort for me. If i can resolve a problem before re-installing, i will attempt to do so, and this will also broaden the spectrum of support for anyone else that encounters such an error. By the way, are there any other folders that contain anything that would otherwise control wingman/computer audio? Perhaps i've inadvertantly moved something i shouldn't have. All other audio seems fine.
