  1. Thank you for letting us know. It's profoundly strange and sad to have this slightly weird relationship in these forums, and not know the struggles we are all going though. He was such a helpful guy. I feel a strange and deep sadness at his passing. Into the great unknown beyond. I hope he is sitting somewhere-pain free and flying into another adventure.
  2. Non-scientific-Just changing those options (from DSAA) the MFDs were WAY blurrier. Switched back.
  3. You need the mbuccia wrapper (a little extra program)-look at the first post to download and install that. Look in the MAIN MENU-CONTROLS-UI CONTROLS (from drop down menu-it has all the airplanes, and then at the bottom there is one that says UI Controls (or something like that).
  4. In the controls "UI Controls" or something. I bind it to an easily accessed button on my stick.
  5. Damn you, I think you're right. Sorry for the previous comment. I thought I had followed ALL directions. Guess not.
  6. Not sure if you're referring to my post, however if you are, that is irrelevant to my problem.
  7. I'm one of those people that assume I am responsible. So many variables wherein I could have screwed it up.
  8. Reinstalled it mbuccia's stuff- and the phenomenon is "less" but still appears. Weird-it happens on my "first" sortie-and when I pull hard G's-then stops. Looks like it is rendering multiple screens where the eye tracking is focused. I'll keep messing with it. Thanks for the reply.
  9. Anybody else get this weird phenomenon where you get a chaotic bunch of flashing screens for a few seconds. Seems like it happens when I am pulling hard on the stick (no jokes please I take my self pleasure time seriously). Hard to explain, but it looks like a bunch of the present screen view is multiplied and then flashes around. I am sure it is related to the quad screen view I am using, but not sure if it is ONLY me, and maybe reinstalling all of mbuccia's stuff etc. would fix it. Using quad screen, mbuccia fix and MT. ON the flat monitor, I see an extra "projection" takes up upper left quadrant of the screen. While, in VR there is a bunch of screens bouncing around. Any ideas?
  10. I dispute your reasons with rebuttal....
  11. Requirements: DCS: F/A-18C Hornet DCS: Supercarrier DCS: Persian Gulf Map
  12. I really liked the Rise of the Persian Lion campaigns. The tell you EXACTLY what you need to be doing. Put waypoints at targets (the exception being when they have you create a new waypoint (occasionally-and it's not that hard to learn) and even then they let you opt out, and just use a premade waypoint. I like how they really walk you through stiff. I had to back out of a couple of missions and watch videos of how to do stuff (use HARMs etc.) but it's a good beginner campaign with decent voice acting etc.
  13. This has so much promise-for me it's a bit overwhelming-tasking your flights and then designating the target locations was a bit much for me. I wasn't ready to take notes. Would have been super cool if there was a drag and drop option (like on the F10 map) at the very beginning instead of using the comms menu within the game (like the old Rainbow 6 games). I have to admit I learned a lot-and needed to back out and research some of the vocabulary used. And Bullseye directions has always messed me up from within the game (again I know I should have this stuff down). The computer generated voices were a little distracting, but sufficed. I think some of the new AI programs out there generate more realistic voices now. Still fun, just a bit too advanced for me right now, but well worth the money.
  14. Hi, Yes, I have all of those. I usually have an option from within the game to download the module. I will double check some stuff. Thanks for the reply. Got it. I didn't have newest patch. Sheesh! My error.
  15. Hi, I bought this campaign, but it's not showing up in my campaign options. All other campaigns show up after I bought them. Weird.
  16. I have the box where the focus is located-as you said noticeable in specific situations (NVG, staring into the sun etc)- seems like it may be 'some setting' in that others don't have/notice it. Which video are you referring to (re: Str][ker video)?
  17. I had that before. Varjo is basically saying your old MOBO is another computer. You need to go to Varjo site, and logout of ALL other computers.
  18. I put focus at 1.5 and peripheral at .5. I DO see a box around the area I'm assuming is the focus area-but only in bright settings and with NVG, but otherwise it works great.
  19. With technology, it's always a complex algorithm. I LOVE my aero-I have been looking for that balance for clarity and smoothness, and I find the aero works great. But there will always be a better solution later on. It comes down to money, and patience. I don't have super problem with spending money on the stuff that makes me happy and gives me something to look forward to doing. And I am a little short on the patience side. I really don't think you'd be disappointed with the aero (as long as your other components (GPU/CPU) are also top tier. But again, if you wait there will be something better. I am hotly anticipating the holodeck option, but I'll take the aero for now.
  20. OMG (yes I said that)-set focus to 1.5. Peripheral to .7 in (C:\Program Files\OpenXR-Varjo-Foveated); So clear and crisp- I can make out ground units from 7,000 feet. Missile trails from miles away, no jaggies on wingman; cockpit info is super crisp. Smooth (as far as I can tell)- I stopped using FPS counters so super subjective. Not super informative I know. But just ecstatic about these new results and updates.
  21. I don't know why I said "small"-brain was already thinking about something else. The box is fairly large (I'd say 30% of the view screen)and flicks around with my eyes-it'd be less noticeable if it was circular-but it's a box. I was assuming it was the "focus" is the foveated rending part (higher resolution-interior) and the "peripheral" (lower resolution-outside.) Not always noticeable-and worth it for all the other benefits. There were (in OXRT) options to change the size- I think.
