  1. All, I have built several missions in BS v1.0. I have tried a few, and the ones with triggers seem to crash. Are the mission between V1 and 1.01 compatible or do I need to reset something? Also, I have some general questions on exactly how the campaign system works. Questions 1. Are the points as fixed as stated in the manual (<49, 50, >50)? 2. How do you move between missions in a stage? 3. With a five stage mission, can you set it up such that it is NOT a 5 successful mission campaign. 4. Can missions within a stage be set up so that three (or more) have an equal change of being chosen? THANKS!! :pilotfly:
  2. Thanks USSR-Rik, your suggestion solved my problem. Back up and flying while smiling :-)
  3. All, :helpsmilie: I am having problems with my CH gear in Black Shark after applying Patch 1.01. All worked fine before the patch. CH Gear – Fighter Stick USP, Pro Throttle USB, Pro Rudder USB I use CH gear in the “Mapped” mode and load the profile via CH Control Manager v4.51. The map is setup with three separate controllers (Joystick, Throttle, and rudder in that order. In the Options menu, in the Real Mode, under Controllers, all three controls show up (CH Control Manger Device 1, CH Control Manger Device 2, CH Control Manger Device 3) in the same order as before. However, CH Control Manger Device 1 shows up with all the same key assignments as the “Keyboard”. When I go to set the Axis, the first two columns (Keyboard, CH Control Manager Device 1) go blank and you can not assign an axis! I tried loading the LUA file that contains my settings, but the CH Manger Control Device 1 remained blank. I did start the game, and I do not have X-Y axis control, but all the buttons send the command assigned. I did go back and change from Real mode to Game mode. In this mode when I go to set the Axis, all three controls show up. I have tried to set them up just to test. Here, I am unable to assign axis directly, but have to choose the axis from the pull down menu on the Key command. I set the joystick up to X-Y axis. In game they did NOT seem to work. Throttle and rudder (CH Manager Devices 2 & 3 respectively) worked fine, as did the buttons. Can anyone help me with this problem? :helpsmilie: Thanks, AKA_Clutter
  4. All, Problem solved! Thanks to Mbot! My problem was that I was trying to do the correct think, and looking in all the wrong places. Since the button on the PVI-800 is labeled as NAV Targets, I had assumed that these were NAV points. What I was missing, and Mbot cleared up was that these are actually target points, assoicated with targets for the helo. These are entered in the ME when you assign targes to your helo. If you press the NAV Target butoon on the BP, and then a corresponding number, the coordinates will show, the HSI carrot will point in the heading to fly to that point, and it shows up on the ABRIS as a blue box. Thanks to all for helping.

  6. , I am trying to create a mission with NAV points in addition to way points. I have tried to save these but have been unsuccessful up to this point. Below is the basic steps that I have done. 1) start mission up in the Mission Editor (ME) 2) Use the Prepare Mission feature. 3) enter the helo 4) set PV-800 to edit mode 5) Press the NAV (OT) button 6) enter the LAT/LON coordinates for the different NAV points. 7) put PVI-800 back in Operate mode 8 ) Take ABRIS to the MENU\CTRL\DTB area 9) Press SAVE button 10) go to the Additional Data line 11) Press SAVE Go out and fly. At this point the NAV points are in the PVI-800 and show up on the ABRIS. 12) Close mission and return to ME 13) Save mission in ME 14) Exit ME 15) Restart ME, load the mission and try the NAV points. They are not loaded. HELP!! Can some one tell me what I'm doing wrong. I say that I've read the manual, but obviously I didn't read it correctly. Thanks,

  8. All, How do it setup to dispense Chaff? I have used the Payload screen to load 64 flares and 64 chaff. When I go in-game, I see 32 on the UV-26 display. Also when I hit the dispense button, only flares appear to come out when viewing the chopper from the F2 external view. I looked for an explanation in the manuals, but didn't see one. Also, I could not see anything inside the cockpit that would allow one to chose between flares, chaff, or both. Does anyone know how to deploy chaff? Thanks,
  9. Eureka!!!! Problem solved! Based on McVittees's response, I went and found a campaign mission with a AH-64 in it. I noticed that the AH-64 had a mission of CAS. Based on that I went back, tweaked my test mission (attached below) to give the AH-64 a mission of CAS, and fired her up. The AH-64 kicked my butt!! BIG TIME! Thanks to all who responded. 10. Ramstein is correct in that I will be looking. But it you can give me a mission name, it sure would make the hunt easier. When you say Waggs campaign, I assume you mean the one that came with the game, is that correct? Thanks
  11. Dusty, Here is the test file I used. My assumption is that if I can get it working in this simple mission, then I can port it over to the more complex application. Thanks for the help. AKA_Clutter Helo_Attack_test.miz
  12. Dusty, Yes I Set target points. As to the size, I set them to 5000 m just to endure they would see me. In the head-on pass I flew at the same altitude and then again at a slightly higher altitude. I had the target point set to helo's. :-( AKA_Clutter
  13. nomdeplume, Thanks for the input. I'll download your mission and try it. Last night I did some test with a simple setup. The setup was 1 AI AH-64 (tried with Cobra as well) and 1 Ka-50 (player controlled, 7 km apart in a head-on meet. both were at the same altitude, and at a speed of 125 kph. Nothing happened! The AI ignored me! It did take evasive action once I fired on it. I tired flying higher than it, in FRONT of it, still no luck. Sigh. AKA_Clutter
  14. EtherealN and spyda, Thanks for the response. Your response have given me things to go and check. The way I have it set up, they should be in visual range and I've placed the center of the "target zone) right where the Ka-50's should be. One thing might be that the Apache's are higher ( ~ 100 m higher) than the Ka-50's so they might no actually have visual. As to the target point and type of way point, I should be OK with that as well. I have the Target point set from way-point 2, and it is directly in front of the choppers as they fly from way-point 2 to way point3. This does raise a question. I assume that Target points are triggered at the way point they are associated with and continue until the next way point is reached. Is that correct? Thanks, AKA_Clutter
  15. All, :helpsmilie: I am in the process of building a mission and am trying to get AH-64’s to attack my group of Ka-50. I have set a Target point, set the target to “Helicopters in this area, and have the Target area set to 1500m. The AH-64’s have Hellfires, rockets, and I assume guns. I cannot get the AH-64s to attack the Ka-%)’s. Any clue as to what I might be doing incorrectly? Thanks, AKA_Clutter
