  1. +1 here as well. Works well and don’t have to worry about damaging the lenses.
  2. Yea, I got to try it again late last night and I saw the same issue. Haven't clue as to why. I am using the latest Nvidia drivers as well.
  3. Rocky - I didn't notice any real stuttering or screen freezes. Of course I wasn't really looking for those, nor was I in multiplayer. When I fly it next, I will try and look for those. Clutter
  4. I think I may have it solved. I read in another post where someone was have a similar issue with an earlier version of 1.5x. The suggested fix was to delete the C:\USER\xxx\Saved Games\DCS ... I deleted the DCS Open Beta folder and restarted system. So far I have had two successful flights. I'll keep this posted if it doesn't work.
  5. OK 1.5.8.122xx Open Beta is consistently generating a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death - sometimes with a note that the game failed). This has occurred about 8 - 10 in a row. What I do know is: Oculus Rift & 1.5 Release works fine Oculus Rift & 2.x Open Beta works fine 1.58.122xx in non-VR works fine as does the Harrier Oculus Rift is up to date and works with DCS and Battle of Stalingrad. 6. Ok, so it looks pretty darn good and it is a lot of fun, that is until I need to perform functions that are not programed to my HOTAS. I have the blue cross floating informant of me to show where I am looking. Sometimes I can use the mouse to click the button and other times NOTHING WORKS. What's worse, it ends up starting something on my desktop, or in the tray. To say this is extremely frustrating would be an understatement. So is there a way to just use the mouse to move & select the item in the cockpit. Is there a setting I am missing. Thanks, Clutter
  7. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since I first asked the question about buying a module and giving it to a friend. I have 3 copies of BS2 and want to give one to a friend. Is that still possible with the procedure outlined on pages 1 & 2? Thought I saw somewhere where you could no longer do that. Is that true? Is there anyway to give a friend a spare copy? TIA Clutter
  8. BIGNEWY, Your response gave me the idea to try to "repair". after I did that, it asked for my serial number, and now is all good. Cost me an activation thou. Thanks for the help.
  9. Bignewy Yes I did buy it from ED, 99% sure. I also checked my serial number via the link above, and it shows the following. Based on this one would think that it would show. As I said, I know everything worked fine up until the last patch. TIA Bind date:09-11-2012Bound to:AKA_Clutter
  10. After the last patch FC3 is showing as "not purchased" on the opening screen and is not in the modules. SU-25 and F-15 show as individual modules in the modules manager. I did see the thread about resetting your registry, tied that and it still doe not work. Any clues?
  11. Havner - just got a chance to compile and run your update programs. Worked like a charm. Hopefully I will get to point of using the ttm files later this week. Thanks you again sir! o7
  12. Havner, Uh ... ... ... I don't know yet. I have had my TM Warthog in a box for 6 - 8 months. So, I haven't yet tried to program them. I am now at the point where I need to and this is the first stage. I will let you know as soon as I get to that point. In looking at them, they look like they should.
  13. Havner, WOW Thanks for the update. I wasn't expecting that, just hoping that you would point me in a direction. With that said, I may still try and debug. I need to lean stuff. :-) As to the Phase 2, I think it was working OK as the contents of the directory matched that of the Phase 1. Thanks again kind sir.
  14. Hi Havner, It's me again, and I am having problems. I have a small understanding of programing, an a little DOS, so I get the jest of these, but not the details. If it is something simple, please just point me in the correct direction and I will try and figure it out. Below is a wall of text. Sorry. When I run the *.bat file, I get the list shown, and the Phase 1 directory shown. All the files that are listed on the screen output don't show up in the directory. Is there some DCS file format error that could be causing this? Anyway, here is the screen out put. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Main-PC /cygdrive/c/games1/dcs/dcs_world/dcs2target-master $ ./dcs2target_phase1.bat C:\games1\dcs\dcs_world\dcs2target-master>rem set DCS_FOLDER=C:\Games\DCS C:\games1\dcs\dcs_world\dcs2target-master>set DCS_FOLDER=.. 15. Havner, I have more questions. OK, I did that and after a while I figured out I needed to download g++ and supporting files. After it was pretty easy. I ran both phase1 and phas2 without any problems. :) Now to my questions. I have additional modules beyond have you have. So I went into the lua parser and added lines for each of the modules that I have that wasn't in the list. The .bat file runs fine, but the exe gives me the following error. $ ./dcs2target_phase2 convShortcut(): 111: empty key shortcut Edit: 5/23/16 - This error appears to be due to the fact that there are blnk commands in the C-101 default keyboard.lua file. I did recompile the exe, but the same error occurred. I edited the lua file with notepad++ so that shouldn't be an issue. Any idea what I may be missing? Does the order matter? Here are some of the lines in the parser with the ones I added. 'Mods/aircraft/A-10C/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/Bf-109K-4/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/C-101/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/F-86/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/FW-190D9/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/Hawk/Input/', 'Mods/aircraft/Ka-50/Input/', Edit: 5/23/16 - It appears that I did break something in either the batch file, or more likely in the dcs2target_parser.lua file. Now back to digging and learning. :-) Thanks,
  16. Havner, A couple more questions Why for the brave? Is there an advantage of one of these over the other, and if so what is it? Thanks again
  17. Havner, I have just acquired a TM Warthog HOTAS and just starting to learn. Years ago I had the TM Cougar HOTAS and currently use CH gear. In both cases I found it beneficial to learn the profile method rather than just mapping the keys. As such, I do plan on learning TARGET. The first question I have, is what does this program actually do? Does it simply read the various Lua script files for the controllers and make TARGET macro files? IF so, do you run it once and then again only when there is a update to the modules that changes the key command profiles? My guess is that you just need to do this for one flavor (DCS 2.0, 1.5 beta, or stock 1.5) and that can be used in any flavor once created. Is that correct? TIA BTW o7
  18. Thank you sir. o7
  19. Is there a list of the controls, and associated keyboard commands, somewhere. If not is there any easy way to generate such a list. Can't seem to get DEC into a windowed mode to have that and a text program open at the same time.
  20. What is the difference between binding a SN to another user and unbinding and then giving the SN to the user. Can they then bind it to them. Thanks!
  21. I bought a copy of A-10C for a friend but cant figure out how to give it to him since it is tied to my password. Can someone tell me how to do that, or point me to a thread where it is discussed? Thanks! :pilotfly:
  22. I agree that the TRUE/FALSE method is overly complex. I originally used that back when there was ONLY KA-50, so haven't looked into the new options in the ME. Thanks for all the great ideas!
  23. All, What I would like to do is to setup a mission where the groups that spawn are somewhat random. As an example, I would like to set it up so that there are four different groups, one of which is activated randomly at the mission start. I know that I could use Mission start --> Random 25% --> Flag On 1, or the Condition statement when adding a new unit. However, it is my understanding that I did this for the four groups, there is a chances that more than one group would spawn. I would like to set it up such that ONLY one groups would spawn. The way I have done this in the past is to use two flags with random set to 50% and then do a truth table to set another four flags. Example: Mission Start – Random 50% - Flag On 1 Mission Start – Random 50% - Flag On 2 Mission Start – Flag 1 True & Flag 2 True - Flag On 3 Mission Start – Flag 1 False & Flag 2 True - Flag On 4 Mission Start – Flag 1 True & Flag 2 False - Flag On 5 Mission Start – Flag 1 False & Flag 2 False - Flag On 6 This appears to me to be a brute force way of doing what I want to do and am wondering if there is a better way to do this? Should I look into doing this via Lua? Thanks AKA_Clutter
