  1. Guys, forgive me for putting this this here if this is not the proper place. Also, I searched but didnt see this same subject in another place. I just lost all input from my Warthog HOTAS into DCS Stable as well as the Open Beta. Im not sure what happened. The software sees my devices but when I start the game, I immediately lose control and crash and burn. I've tried pretty much everything I know to do and come up with nothing. When I pause and go into the adjust controllers menu, the throttle, the joystick and the rudders all show up and will allow me to make adjustments but then when I go back into the game, its crash city. Any ideas from anyone who has any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm at wits end with this... help!
  2. I’ve been struggling with this same issue. Thanks to everyone for the solution.
  3. It sounds like you're installing it into DCS WORLD instead of DCS WORLD OPEN BETA. Try installing into the open beta version.
  4. Every time I start DCS World it requires me to reenter the serial number for several of the aircraft in FC3. The SU27, MIG29, F-15 and the A10 all require it. Is this a bug and if so, is there a known cure? I tried to redownload but it wants me to another $49 for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  5. Whenever I start the simulator, I have to reinput the serial number for the aircraft in FC3 so I have to put it in about 4 or so times Is this a common thing or am I just the lucky one? Does anyone know the cure? If I go to redownload it wants me to pay another $49 USD. I've already paid just getting a bit disgusted an the problem. Anyone? TIA
  6. Amen brother. I might also add, if you suspect it's "too early" for you to purchase or enjoy, then simply choose not to buy it and read what others write about it here for a few days. Then you can make an educated decision on whether or not to purchase. It's really pretty simple. I realized it was an early release when I bought it and pretty much knew it wouldn't all be there this time. Can you imagine how much work goes into producing one of these modules? I'm pretty sure they rely on us to beta test them early on. That's ok with me.
  7. Make sure you are logged into the DCS server with your appropriate log in. You might need to change your password. Remember if you change your password it takes 24 hours to take effect.
  8. It's only about $16 USD difference. Not too bad.
  9. English manual updated 9/29/19. This is 189 pages. https://srv13files.eagle.ru/dcs/manuals/DCS-F-16C_Early_Access_Guide_EN.pdf
  10. To attempt to review a module at it's initial "early access" stage is ridiculous. Sure, you can give your "first impression" but its a mistake to attempt a review at this stage. I doubt it was a "money grab" since they've been waiting until now to release it. My guess is that its been released now so the purchasers of the product will act as a test bed to assist in the further development of the product. Plus I would imagine they had a great deal of pressure from the users of DCS World, most of which were probably those who pre-purchased. Of course, I have no way of knowing, its just a guess on my part. Like most people here, I bought it as well but even though its early access I went in knowing it wasn't by any means a completed product and probably won't be for quite some time, like the F/A-18 Hornet.
  11. Thank you for he replies guys. Sorry for the delay in responding... I couldn’t find my own post!
  12. Oh, BTW, I have the TrackIR working well so that won’t be an issue to deal with.
  13. First off, yes I searched for a subject like this but didn’t find anything. So here goes... ...DCS World was on my bucket list to get into and now I’ve managed to get all he necessary stuff up and running and would like to join a squadron to get help one on one with learning how to use all the systems properly with help from pilots who are willing to coach me. My set us is as follows (subject to change) 1. Logitech (Saitek?) X56 HOTAS, 2. Thrustmaster rudder pedals (came in yesterday) 3. 27” curved monitor, 4. TrackIR and 5. DCS World with: Flaming Cliffs 3 A-10C MF/18 Hornet F86 Saber Mig @5 Mig 21 F5E P51D Me109 ( what a bitch to taxi with!) FW190 Dora F14 Tomcat And a couple of others. Yes, I love airplanes and flying. I’m not brand new to simulators but Holy Crap, this one is just nuts with detail and puts all the others to shame. I thought Ace Combat was pretty good until I finally got this. I’ve watched the Grim Reapers YouTube videos and continue to do so but I really think joining a squadron and getting some help will go a long way to learning takeoff, landing, navigation and weapons systems. So, thanks in advance for any assistance you are willing to offer. Schnauz.
  14. I just received my updated X56 from an Amazon retailer and as a brand new entrant to the DCS World, am happy to say that I’m VERY pleased with the purchase. I seriously looked at the Warthog and having read as many review on each as I could find, have come to the conclusion that at the end of the day, what matters is how much money you want to spend. I have no doubt that the Warthog is a great HOTAS (pretty much goes without saying) but the “Rhino” is damn good too. And at about half the price, seems to be a great stepping off point. I’ve seen videos where guys have built complete cockpits in their homes and bought flight gear like flihtsuits and helmets, but that’s a bit out there for me. I just want to learn the necessary items to be competitive and enjoy the simulator. So no flight helmets in the near future for me. That said, the X56 has met all my expectations thus far without breaking the bank leaving extra funds for additional modules. Once I figured out how to bind the throttles the rest was no problem. If you’re loaded with extra funds and don’t have to worry about it, sure, go for the Warthog but don’t be put off by the naysayers who feel the necessity to bash the X56 because it’s not a Warthog. It works great. And the twist function gives you rudder control without having to pony up a couple of hundred for rudder pedals and have to deal with even more wires. Eventually I’ll get the pedals but for right now, the X56 is doing the Job quite well... and it came in a day early!
  15. Has there been any recent news on the progress on the Belsimtek F-4E? This has long been one of my favorite jet aircraft and was what my unit went to after FINALLY retiring the RF-101 Voodoo camera platform jets. The Phantom 2 (to me anyway) is the epitome of Vietnam era jet aircraft. To be able to fly on in DCS World would be a dream come true. I’ve always been a fan of the Intruder too but since it was so specialized as a bomber or in its later version, the EA6B Prowler, I don’t see anyone attempting to add it to DCS World anytime in the foreseeable future. Might be interesting though since it had a crew of four!
