  1. Haha, I posted this before reading the M03 kneeboard, which is both in the correct frequency range and also working with my AI wingman! I thought that I remembered one of the previous missions had an invalid frequency, but I could be mistaken. I hope I didn't miss some easter egg in the mission!
  2. Hello, I'm reading in the mission briefings that we are to set the A/A tacan up to the frequencies listed in the kneeboards. I know in previous campaigns this was in kneeboards more for immersion because of DCS limitations. Has that changed since recently? I have not been setting the A/A tacan due to this issue that certain frequencies can disrupt your DL: I would recommend that if setting the A/A tacan does affect this campaign that the frequencies be moved to one of the appropriate ranges that would not affect DL: https://imgur.com/3xnKFW0
  3. @baltic_dragonThanks for the response. With the Artic Thunder Campaign directing to turn off VAICOM/Voice Attack I have half a mind to retry this mission again with that turned off.
  4. I think it was more the unclear "Get into formation with him so he can see you" then "fall behind as I finish talking"....might be worth mentioning in mission designer notes how close you need to be for triggers. Third time is a charm apparently...hope this helps others...
  5. Got a bit further this time. Next time I guess don't get so close to the backfire? The exact moment they told me to shoot it down I heard a load bang and my wing had been sliced through...
  6. Ok thanks. I wish this was more clear. I checked that the left DDI was set on the tapes but that they weren't ON because i assumed it was automatically ON. Getting tired of wasting time trying to fly single player campaigns; I'll try again once the bad taste has left my mouth.
  7. I've been circling an SA-15 looking at it in my pod for nearly 10 minutes now; its like PTSD from M15 in RODF. The last voice transmissions were: DEVIL 31: Affirm. And we have our SA-15 near the trees to the east. Got it on tapes? PLAYER: Ee, negative, wait one... It seems like there should have been a comms option to say that I have contact/tapes on the Tor. VAICOM is not enabled. Am I just being impatient?

  10. Thanks for the tip! My only intended use here is to use it in my dcs menu user theme -- and it appears that I do not have access to the file anymore sadly.
  11. Okay, I made a recording. It's entirely possible this is happening from a mod I have, but it seems like its some default ED campaign success music? When I complete practice BFM12, I get the end of campaign music file that I found in the miz; but when I exit to the menus it goes to some other music. Do you happen to recognize it or know where I might be able to find it on my system? I've looked around various places, including the dcs.log, and I have not yet found it. EDIT: Removed YT link
  12. It played when I completed the Practice Campaign. Could it possibly be some default DCS music from somewhere? I couldn't find anything after a search...maybe I'll replay and record with OBS again soon.
  13. Hello, I enjoyed the end of campaign music track so much that I'd like to use it for a user defined Menu screen. I couldn't find the same .ogg in any of the campaign miz files - the CampaignEnd.ogg file that exists there is the same music as the default hornet menu, and not the end of campaign music that I remember hearing. Any help would be appreciated!

  17. Since it's been added to DCS recently, it only seems fitting to swap it for the formerly simulated-LANTIRN on the loadout. No spoilers - but I appreciated the twist at the end of the mission!
  18. Its been awhile since I flew the non-practice missions in this campaign, but I picked it back up today. I like to fly the departure/arrival procedures with tacan radials and noticed that the BTY frequency was getting picked up as TKR in the jet, and when I looked at F10 to measure the distance it was showing the distance to Arco11 and not the BTY tacan.

  21. I've been having issues progressing past this point in the mission. It seems that if any of my gun strafes hit the buildings near the enemy infantry spawn, then those buildings, and subsequently all of FOB Orange, blow up and I fail the mission. Are there any tips for strafing the enemy in a way that doesn't hit any of those buildings? Their spawn is very close to that structure so this makes it quite difficult to hit every single enemy unit and not hit the house they are right next to. It seems like on a few attempts I've hit most but not all of the enemy infantry units, perhaps the trigger to continue on could be relaxed a bit, if it is requiring all of those units to be destroyed?

I posted a comment on the recommended hornet livery page (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300829/), but looks like this one hasn't been updated since the change to hornet liveries that was released not so recently. Perhaps you might consider changing liveries to one that is updated so the bort numbers don't appear broken. The other liveries I installed seem to be fine. I would recommend that the campaign install these liveries for us (and give credit to the creators where its due). I found myself not starting this campaign for quite some time partially because I had to go out and download/install so many liveries.

  24. I am starting up this campaign too, and it seems that from the campaign menu it prefers the hot start missions. When I dig into the file directory, I can see miz files for COLD START. Is there a way to enable cold start from the campaign menu?
