  1. Just wanted to drop by and say thanks average_pilot! I downloaded this and it works GREAT with DCS:P-51 and my MSFFB2... This is EXACTLY what MSFFB2 owners need; you should definitely put this up over at SimHQ or Hovercontrol. I'm actually looking forward to flying helo's in Arma2 now, as they used to suck with my FFB stick. :joystick: Please continue to work on this project! I would definitely be willing to pay for more options!
  2. I think it's down to personal preference, really. Kuky seems to prefer a higher resolution, which is understandable, but for me personally 1080 vertical looks great. And I use a 32" LG. Different strokes for different folks :smilewink: I think we're at a point in time now as well, where even the lowest end TV's/Monitors are MORE than sufficient for flight simming. I would personally go for the biggest monitor/TV for the least money. It's a good time for gaming, and it's only gonna get better, methinks. Hell, I remember not too long ago playing Descent on a 14" CRT monitor at probably 320x240 or something similar, thinking it was awesome!
  3. Serial #: 07462 Location: Trenton, NJ The tags on both USB cords (Throttle and Stick) say "Version: V.3"
  4. http://vaaf.net/wiki2/index.php5?title=Black_Shark_TrackIR_center_point Is this sort of what you're looking for?
  5. Holy CRAP!!! You have your 2500K running at 5.0GHZ!? What kind of cooling and temps are you running? God I can't wait to get mine. Just waiting on the B3 Stepping mobos to hit the market... That IS weird that you took a hit on frames, too... I definitely am getting much better performance than the beta.
  6. Hey guys just wanted to let you know the first video for my Let's Play of LOMAC is up on my YouTube channel. I love watching LPs and there are not many for flight sims, so I figured I'd give it a whack. I recorded and narrated the mission in real-time, but for the video I spliced in some scenes from the replay track to spice it up a little bit... I'm doing the A-10 now, and I intend do one for the Su-25T as soon as my skills improve a little bit. My ultimate goal is do an LP for DCS A-10C, but it might (read: will) be a WHILE before I'm proficient enough for that... :P
  7. I will DEFINITELY be looking forward to this. I am attempting to make the transition from my beloved A-10A in LOMAC to the DCS A-10C, and it's been pretty rough, lol...
  8. Hey guys! I already put this up over at SimHQ, so forgive me if you're having Deja Vu, lol... I'm starting a 'Let's Play' series of videos on my YouTube channel for the A-10 Campaign in Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2.0. I'm still doing some simple self made 'training' missions right now, and this is one of them. I am attempting to get some practice at attacking AA missile platforms (I HATE them) and after 2 unsuccessful, head-on assaults I manage to utilize the terrain effictively and take out the big bad Tunguska. I am doing this LP in sort of a casual manner, for a non-hardcore audience, so don't expect a 100% military style AAR here, lol, although I think you guys will get a kick out of it... I've played through the first couple of missions in the campaign for FC 1.12 a year or two back, but this is going to be my first run in FC 2.0, so any tips would be welcome!! :)
  9. Ahhhh... Makes sense now. I'll try that, thank's guys!!
  10. Hey guys, I did a search but all the results were referencing Flaming Cliffs 1.12 or lower. I know in FC 1.12 all you had to do to 'set' your takeoff direction at a particular airfield was to put a slight headwind down the intended runway in the editor (does that make sense, lol?). I'm now using FC 2.0 and that old trick doesnt seem to work now. It seems that regardless of what direction I set the wind to, my takeoff direction is set to the opposite of how I want it. Frustrating. :joystick: Does anyone know how to get around this problem in FC 2.0? Thanks
  11. Unfortunately I never did play Thunderhawk or Commanche. I'm a (relatively) late bloomer when it comes to flight sims (spent the 90's and early 2000's playing Quake and the like, lol) so I missed a lot of the golden era classics... Didn't really discover flight sims until late '07 when I bought LOMAC on a whim, which led to DCS, FreeFalcon, so on and so forth. This game is surprisingly fun and addictive, however. If you can find a reasonably priced copy (the going prices on amazon are just absurd. A new-in-box copy is $125.00!!!) I'd would recommend you give it a shot. I only hope the new Apache Air Assault is half as fun... Thanks for watching though guys, means a lot :)
  12. Hey guys, I don't know if any of you watch Let's Play videos (I personally am hooked on them ), but I started one on a pretty cool 'light' helo sim called Apache Longbow Assault. The game is ridiculously fun and has a believable flight model. Check it out if you have a free minute, they're pretty entertaining. And feel free to comment on my horrible Apache flying skills... Up to mission 8 already. Having a little trouble with this one, lol... :joystick: http://www.youtube.com/user/decep3107#p/c/D826B25916ABF90F/7/xcHRdbdawZc (Edit): I tried embedding the video but it didn't work so I just put up the link to the newest LP
  13. Try XPadder. It's $9.99(us), but it works great. I use the logitech software for my G940, but I have a "TM Hotas X" cheapy controller for my laptop that has no programming software that I use it with. You can store up to 8 different modes and map any button/axis to anything.
  14. Nice. Do you know which file is which, however? I see two x64 versions, lgs510 and lgs510j...
