Damn, just bought the Nevada Map and wanted to try it. Thanks for your response, BIGNEWY. -
Not internet connection?

Same issue here in Germany. And I cannot see anything inside the module manager in DCS World 1.5 and 2. -

Demongornot: I think we all understand, what you try to explain. But as is said in this thread and many others: DCS World can not be broken in many parts and (as c0ff said) magically communicate with each other. And I am really sure, that the AI won't get better just because it runs on another core. I read all of what you have been writing in this thread and still are sure that is not as easy as you think to go a "little" multicore. I am very sure, that ED is on it's way to real multicore support and Nevada will help that a lot. Btw, if you run your CPU on about 4.5 Ghz, it will perform a lot better than on 4.0Ghz Turbo. Thats what I experienced when I installed my new rig with I5 3570k, maybe you want to give it a try.
-
Demongornot: 4x 4Ghz on a CPU are NOT 16Ghz. GPU and CPU Ghz cannot be compared to each other, as St3v3f said. So he is right. As I see it, you don't have the vaguest idea, how difficult it is to do programming right and to have a program run over different cores. Especially, if that program already exists and has to be transformed in a program that uses all available cores (which could be 1 to 6 or even more!), Inventor or not. Btw, have you had a look at your CPU workload when running FSX? It is using more than one CPU Core as good as DCS World.

Hi Sabot, to be honest, do a clean new install of Windows. What version do you have now and what version have you had before (32/64bit)?

Auto Update to 1.2.3 lead to corrupt HDD
neverminded replied to Cabbage's topic in General Questions
It is known that SSD defragmentation is a no-go. I guess you have corrupt files because of your BSOD and not the other way. -
Sorry, had a talk to the admin and it seemed that I had been kicked for "ping too high" while loading the map. After that no login to this server was possible. My internet connection is really slow and while loading a map it is clear that my ping will go up. I will have to deal with that :(
-
Since today I have this problem, too. While loading a mission I get a disconnect and when retrying to connect this "stream error" occurs. I have to completely restart the multiplayer and this error may be gone.

Didn't read through the whole thread, but I see a lot of people complaining about the autoupdater. Would be interesting if any of those have been complaining about too few updates before the autoupdater. Folks, obviously there is always anything to complain about. I just want to thank ED for the autoupdater! It's really a step forward in bringing us a sim with more quality :)

Ich fahr jetzt in die Firma und lad es mit der 100Mbit Leitung runter. Wir sehen uns später! :D

You have a Hotas Warthog? If so, du you have TARGET running? When it is running, shut it down, delete the folder i stated above and everything should be going back to normal.
-
Delete the folder under Users\youruser\saved games\DCS or rename it. Thats what I told you twice. Try it and after that invert the axis on your brakes. Just DO it.
-
You can find "Invert axis" under "tune axis". And as you messed anything up right now, delete you DCS saved game folder as described in my last post. If anything does not work properly, there IS something misconfigured. When deleting your saved game\DCS folder you can start from scratch.
-
As a few tried to tell you before. Just invert the brake axis. The rudder pedals are normally assigned to the wheel brakes, thats no fault. Best would be to delete the Folder saved games\DCS and start over again with configuring your rudderpedals.

Works again.

I can confirm, that this tweak helps. At least for a short time. After standing 10-15 minutes on the ground, my frames drop from 40 to 30 or less.

Wow, I really would appreciate having a HOTAS Warthog. And the 1 or 3 hours flight instructions will help a lot :D -

I have a PDA here and theres no way to get SideWindow to run with Vista. Too bad  -
Yes, thanks again!

The game recognizes the Saitek Rudder. Yes, in Axis Commands I can choose Axis from the drop-down list. My option screen looks like your option screen. I've been flying a bit now, it's like day and night :) Love flying the Shark. Btw, i didn't listen to you, when you were on painkillers :)
-
Ehm, sorry. Thanks a lot, I've been there already, but was too confused. Thanks again!
-
That means I delete the keyboard settings ingame? I deleted all categories but the keyboard. Is it because of that, that i can't configure/add axis to e.g. roll or pitch? When I use the drop down box (it wont recognize any inputs) I have Joybtns but no axis.
