  1. Def, I'll try the fast movement of the headset but I'll take it off and twirl it in my hand a bit! I can do it much quicker with less neck strain that way!
  2. Thanks for all the input, very helpful!
  3. I've had that since day on on the Reverb, doesn't fix the problem. Thanks for offering though! Getting out of the game and WMR, restarting gets a fix.
  4. OK, how to recenter without leaving?
  5. Thanks, I would think that also but a window on the right side with the sun shining in, lamp on the left and an overhead ceiling light keep the room bright. Even at night with no window light I generally have no problem.
  6. There are times that "flashlight" still does not work for me. Sigh!
  7. Once in a while, the ability to slide from side to side disappears, all other movements work fine. It becones impossible to "check six" as the headrest is always in the way.Re-centering does not activate it. Sometimes it will correct itself, sometimes it gets frustrating.
  8. HP Reverb with a Logitech wireless headset. I set up speech using the info provided when I installed the "voice Attack" app. I use the word "flashlight" to turn it on and off. It did not work for me in-game until I opened Cortana once for some reason.
  9. I did not need a controller turned on for it to work and it works without Cortana.
  10. OK, last flight I opened Cortana and left it open. I could open flashlight in flight so I take it Cortana needs to be turned ON? If that's it, Thanks for your help.
  11. Speech has been turned on this entire time. I never used Cortana before but I checked and speech is recognized. A voice command does work, I can initiate flashlight with a voice command when at the WMR desktop.
  12. It will work when I'm in the WMR desktop, just not ingame. I believe I have speech setup as I use Voice Attack.
  13. Tried again today to get flashlight to work while in DCS. Voice command did not work, neither did the wand.
  14. I tried it while in DCS last night and couldn't get it to work. I'll have to try again.
  15. Yes, HP Reverb and "flashlight" is the word that works for me. Thanks!
  16. I've forgotten what the key/combo is to be able to look at the keyboard/screen/mouse/real world while in the headset. Is it the same one to get out of that view? Need that too. Someone must use it.
  17. If you are flying on the Storm of War server, some missions have allied bases with limited supplies. Bombs and rockets for instance may only be available at one airfield or in England. Check the mission briefing,
  18. Use the F2 view to see how long it takes for those doors to fully open, A quick flick of the switch will not do.
  19. The big poofs of black smoke that go up to 20,000 feet that can also hit you when you're flying between ridges and next to beaches.
  20. Look to see that take off assist is still turned off. I found it ON for all my planes after the patch.
  21. Thanks for that post pmiceli, see you in the servers!
  22. Yes, I think we all get to see a yellow tip on the prop blade. This was done to protect ground crew, make the disc visible while the a/c was on the ground. Pilots don't need to see it at all and props were generally all black on the pilot side in WW2.
  23. I did a test on BS one day. Started up and taxied all the Dora's that were parked in one area. 50% or so were horrible on the ground and required power to get moving and could not hold a line. When it was a good one it was fun. I noticed the same on T/O but I figure that was more me.
  24. I have a problem with the settings window in SteamVR. When I select settings all I can see is a thin black line at the top of my screen that I cannot reposition. A right click of the mouse in the taskbar shows me it's the settings page. How do I get it to the main screen? Thanks.
  25. The shadow makes it look like a cone but it is a cylinder.
