switch from x-65f to TM warthhog
TeeJay82 replied to TeeJay82's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you very much for your feedback :) i really appreciate it... Guess a new hotas is ingressing on my desk. Fly safe :) -
Any one of you done it? as much as i like the x-65, i cant seem to stay stable in formations or a2a refuel wich kind of ruins my experience :/ ive tried tuning the force sensing/bigger deadsones in control panel but the bugger just refuses to fly stable and feel right.. For everything else i love the 65 but again... cant keep it stable Would love to hear if some of you have switched and your oppinions :) Cheers 138th Teejay

Hey ho... as im enjoying the flanker and want to move on to carrier ops, ive just realized im missing the ability to map the tailhook and wingfold on the 33. in options my controls are as follows <Keyboard> <Rudder Pedals> <X-65f> i cannot map wingfold and hook in either keyboard or x-65f.. but strangely i can map it as a button to my rudders :S there is also no default key map on keyboard or x-65f. Tried repair but nogo there as rudders dont have buttons im kinda lost on how to get the tailhook going :S hope one of you can help me with this :) Cheers 138th. TeeJay

Its 2013 ... Really!!! Is that all???? DCS Performance
TeeJay82 replied to Nume Noctre's topic in Chit-Chat
I kinda agree with you.. i get a FSX feeling performance wise... without the microstutters.. i have 8core a 4ghz 16gb 2400mhz RAM 2x 680SLI in single performance mode 120gb 550/500 OS ssd disk 512gb 550/500 Game disk and im at about 30 fps on average at cruise.. all shadows are off.. same with water 0m clutter, rest is maxxed out when combat hits the fan i can drop to 10-15fps Should have been able to max it all out and still have a decent amount of frames -
I have not flown a second since the update removed the autothrust and i miss it allready...
-
It doesnt need it.... Would be welcomed by me... but i dont need it... what i do need is the ATC to stop bitching at me when taxiing in close formation :P
-
If you think you had problems tappie... try standing still and guide a couple of 25ml`s from the 50 :P I think the bastard hit me with 4 missiles before i hit the deck... from 50m altitude

startup, enable nws... taxi to runway, during take off.. use Z-X to steer with NWS.. when your IAS goes over 50 knots turn off NWS and use Z-X to steer with the rudder.. Happy flying :)

Nosewheel goes haywire in high speed runway landings
TeeJay82 replied to TeeJay82's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Aha.. ok ty for your time gents :) -
As i was training on safer landings... i encountered trouble with the nosewheel... as the track shows it goes completly haywire... if i pull back on the stick... it stabilises.. if i push it forward... the wheel breaks but only with brakes applied.... now.. should it not be opposite at least? as a wheel get lifted it should lose traction and hence become unstable.. and forcing it to the ground should give it more traction?!? Or are my understanding of physics completly off? :P nw.trk

When youre suspecting engine abuse in the near future... turn on the apu :P

Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
TeeJay82 replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Ill buy whatever has turbine engines and the ability to throw bombs and missiles against enemy ground forces :D -
Lets start the whining :D When setting flaps to either Combat or landing... the nose pitches upwards not downwards as it should... It also feels like its underproducing lift and drag with full flaps (no weapons loaded and 30% fuel) That could be me not feeling the g force load on my body in the virtual pit :notify: Also i want my face (camera view) smashed against the hud when deploying the brake chute during landings:D Atleast as long as the harness would have allowed.. And give me R/L brakes axis  i need my hotas buttons for other stuff :D errr other than that for the moment... HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE:drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

SU25t allways lose both hydrolic pumps/lines

SU25t allways lose both hydrolic pumps/lines
TeeJay82 replied to TeeJay82's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
It works allright :) But correctly? I guess i have between 40-50 hours ingame with this plane.. probably muuuch more :o but never the less... And out of all times ive taken damage, either both systems function or bleed out... BUT! With both hydro pressure lines bled out, im still able to use my trim.. Wich again are a hat swtich on the stick... and i would then guess its hydraulic and not eletrical... im just guessing, could not find any info on google :/ So my wild guess is that somethings wrong here... -
Awesome paint :D id love to have a copy of it

SU25t allways lose both hydrolic pumps/lines
TeeJay82 replied to TeeJay82's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Awesome picture :) But then i would like to ask the rest of the community: Have you ever got shot at and lost only one of the hydraulic systems? -
As i take the occational manpad love stick up the rear, i allways loose both or none of the hydrolic systems when i get hit in that area... so i just wonder.. does the su only have one hydro system powered by 2 pumps, or are there 2 seperate systems wich allways spring a leak in perfect harmony?
-
Ive noticed that turning on every system with the battery off, then engage batteries and engines does no damage to the electronics. now since this is a "real" simulator i find it strange that of probably 100times+ starting the chopper this way, nothing bad happens to any of the systems... So then i question myself... is the simulated startup procedure wrong for the DCS series? IRL i hit the batteries and engage the radio, communicate with the tower then turn off the radio and all other electronics during engine startup to prevent voltage fluctuations to the various systems (radio,Gps...) once engine is running stable at idle i switch electronic systems on.. now i only fly a 172... So please dont nuke me for asking a picky question :D

Thank you :) Ill try to turn off full screen mode and see if that helps

No one using 3d for games here? :O
