Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill
Vox replied to currenthill's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Hello, CH Mod user and like everyone else I thank him warmly for the work he does for us. I have a small question. I use his S-350 system and it works beyond my understanding of SAM systems: on a 9M96D missile firing, using terrain masking is of no help. While the RWR on my F-18 confirms that the S-350 is no longer following me on the radar, the missile that was initially launched continues to guide itself towards me and ends up hitting me (without my RWR detecting any radar activity from the missile). What guidance modes are used to achieve this result? Thank you S-350.trk -
Oh! OK thank you very much for this answer

Good morning, On the UFC, just above the A/P button there is a very small cross. Small cross found on quite a few panels in the cockpit. Anyone have an idea what this means? Thanks in advance

cannot repoduce and missing track file Spot Mode Radar A/A
Vox replied to Vox's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Because if you look at the track you will see that currently the TDC depress (same for Undes/NWS) which takes you out of spot mode also returns the antenna to its original scan area... -
cannot repoduce and missing track file Spot Mode Radar A/A

at 3 minutes Matt gets an L&S by a TDC depressed on the track ... the "Spot.trk" shows that it is not possible anymore Spot.trk -
cannot repoduce and missing track file Spot Mode Radar A/A
Vox replied to Vox's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thank you for your reply. The problem is not the way to leave the spot mode but rather the way to obtain an acquisition via the spot mode: currently a TDC depress on a contact in spot mode exits the spot mode, whereas one could rather expect an acquisition (L&S or STT) Thanks again -
Hello I am a little confused with the operation of the spot mode The Spot mode of the A/A radar is only accessible if an A/A weapon is selected, is this normal behaviour (other radar functions are not subject to this rule). Moreover when I am in the spot mode and that I operate a TUC then a TDC depress on a contact I obtain an exit of the spot mode. I imagined that this action could allow to create a L&S, or a STT. Currently the only way to get an acquisition action is to switch to AACQ from Spot mode. Thanks

Hello, Can this post be transferred to the Bug section or do I have to recreate it in this section so that it is reported ? Thanks

As requested here is a TRK. After the departure of the AIM-120 the TDC depress does not allow to recall the BIAS Bias.trk

Hello It seems that the BIAS of the TWS has evolved again, if a L&S target is tracked in BIAS mode the firing of an AIM-120 automatically switches the BIAS to AUTO with no possible return to BIAS as long as the missile is guided. Do you see the same process and is this how it should work. Thanks

Possible to slave the TGP to the helmet mounted sight?

Possible to slave the TGP to the helmet mounted sight?
Vox replied to Stratos's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Hello To stay on the same subject: is it normal that when you designate a target on the ground with the helmet it is the current navigation point that is designated as the target point? Even if on the SA page we obtains a HAFU symbol, I would have more easily imagined that the target is the designation point and not the navigation point: if one wishes to assign an axis of attack to the target that one has just designated, it is the navigation point transformed into a target point that will benefit from the run! thank you -
Thank you very much for your answers. My question is about the stack itself and is based on this figure which, as you will agree, suggests that it may be necessary to climb to the upper level in the stack. This figure comes from the CNATRA P-816 (CV procedure T-45), maybe it only concerns a procedure used during qualification ?

Hi everyone, I am wondering something about altitude movements in the marshall stack (during case one). It is recognized that descents are to be done between points 3 and 1, and climbings between point 1 and 3. My question is: what circumstances could induce climbing in the stack? Thank you for any help

DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

First try at video: one stack turn and land -
thanks for your answer, I set the pause to "on loading" and it still doesn't completely solve the problem but it happens now that sometimes my plane is present in the track. It never used to happen before, so thanks for your help!

Hi, I'm having a problem and I don't know if I'm the only one. During multiplayer sessions, if it's me who creates the server, I don't appear in the resulting track. The other clients are clearly visible but not my fighter. I specify that in solo missions my plane is clearly visible in the .trk (it doesn't reproduce exactly what happened, but that's another story...). someone has an idea !? Thanks

Hello, since the last update the azimuth indicator of the radar disappears when it is overflown with the TDC (it remains active but the line of numbers that shows the overflight with the TDC is no longer visible). Is this a Bug? Another thing, on a TWS page with an eccentric scanning azimuth, switching from TWS to RWS does not always make it possible to recover a complete azimuth scanning (this is not systematic). Am I missing something or is it also a bug? Thank You

Hello Do you know if it is possible to solve this effect of curtain on the shadows during the transition to the shade more defined? Maybe by loading this shadow at a more distant distance ? Thank you .
