  1. The APU has its own fuel pump powered by the DC bus I think, so it doesn't need the other pumps.

  3. I guess we can all be happy for the transparency on this issue, but after 1 year of hearing "the next patch is gonna be the bomb!" I think it's safest to remain relatively skeptical. Also, am I wrong to believe that this reversal bug was actually intentional by the initial g940 developers seeing as they're still gonna keep a bit of it? It's a shame I don't live in the US and have Win-7 x64 though...

  5. The bugs are still there because 5.10 was primarily to fix problems with other controllers after 5.09. The firmware and other fixes, nothing related to the reversal bug since they only mentioned a week ago that they were working on it, came in 5.09. Thanks for making people happy with nothing :thumbup:
  6. I dunno who to complain to either. A-10C is already feature frozen and logitech apparently only take serious problems seriously after 1 year. This is also why I don't believe that ED and logitech actually worked together at any point, since they would've definitely solved this problem since it affects all people with FFB joysticks. Btw, there is a small chance it might get fixed in the open beta phase, since the open beta is only there to report hardware issues, and this might just fall into that...

I just tried for an hour to use the FFB implementation instead of relying only on the centering spring, which is how I have to play any ED game, and this is what I've found out: - FFB slop is indeed less - Deadzone and curves still don't move up. I setup 25% deadzones on the joystick's X and Y in the profiler, but those deadzones aren't there when I have trimmed into a new position (just the same as in BS and FC2). Seeing as the deadzones and curves dont move up, I can't let go of my joystick so ED's FFB implementation is still not working for me. I'm using the new firmware and Profiler 5.10 btw.
  8. I know, but I'm still a n00b when it comes to flight sims so aiming takes quite a while for me. That, and a crappy g940 isn't really making quick aiming easy :D
  9. Seeing as I'm still having problems with FFB slop, I guess either my joystick sucks more or I'm just more critical, I doubt they'll be able to fix this problem fully as well. And if logitech and ED were really working together, don't you think they would've made something already that moves up the deadzones and curves up to the newly trimmed position, so the stick isn't supersensitive when you've trimmed it?
  10. That's true, but there is also still the aiming phase where a constant increase of lift is not really desirable I assume. Yeah, that's the problem I'm having. Thanks for wording it better :). I do however assume there is no known speed when the PAC yaw and pitch effectiveness (both have up to 10 degrees of authority) reaches 100%, something like a minimum engagement speed for maximum PAC effectiveness?
  11. That's also important yeah, but the more rounds you can put in a small area the better right? I always thought I was supposed to keep a stable speed while strafing, so I don't have to fight the increase of lift while strafing which can push me off target.

  13. I was flying a bit yesterday with the new beta, and I was noticing that when I fire my cannon when flying at 170 KIAS I get tons more recoil than when I'm flying at >225 KIAS. Also, my dive angle had little effect on the recoil as well. Is there some graph that illustrates what the best engagement speed and/or angle is to get the least amount of recoil and could it maybe get included in the manual?

  17. I guess that's where I went wrong, because I was still applying the landing parameters from your video (130 knots, full flaps, 40% speedbrakes, 3 degree glide slope). Thanks for the tips, maybe you could make a video about it :) No random failures or birds set at all, it's just a mission with some planes and waypoints for flight training purposes. I just rewatched the track and the right engine just shut off by itself (no flames or explosions) a few seconds after I jettisoned my weapons because I was doing an emergency landing, (had a broken CADC due to an overheated pitot tube I assume and I preferred 10000lbs less on my plane). Now that I think about it, maybe some unwanted parts came free when jettisoning the weapons?
  18. I was doing some landing practice tonight, and my CADC died, and on finals my right engine died all of the sudden. My approach was fine until 1nm before the runway when I suddenly lost a lot of height and speed and couldn't stay in the glide path, so I thought I'd increase my left throttle but this actually made the situation worse. It yawed to the right and I lost even more speed and height and I ended up in an apartment building. Do you have any tips for me for dealing with this kind of situation? Another question, how to enable the PAPI thing in Batumi?

  20. I started flightsimming with Black shark, so it's definitely possible. All the used abbreviations for the A-10C are in the back of the manual btw.
  21. So force feedback works in A-10C? I just tried your profile and I made sure FFB was enabled in the config file, but I haven't noticed a single FFB effect.
  22. I bought it after my own 8800gts (everyones seem to die now) died, and I haven't noticed a single problem in FC2 and A-10C.
  23. I tried these settings, but it makes the joystick kick back 1 cm to the center when I release the trim button. Any idea what I did wrong?
  24. I believe so. This stick has been out for almost a year now, and ED and logitech have not really shown any intention to actually make this stick work properly in black shark, and I doubt that will change in the near future. All we can hope for now is that A-10C will not have any special ffb features like BS has which are bound to be rubbish again on the g940.
  25. Because Matt said ED would begin with producer notes for A-10C around July.
