  1. I haven't checked in 1.1, but in all the previous versions you had to have all base missions that you are recording from built on day "001" for the AVI tool to work. Otherwise you will see the avi render go straight to the sound record screen for about a sec, and then back to debriefing screen with NO avi recorded. If that is not it, like I said BE SPECIFIC as to what your seeing. p.s. If it is the day that is affecting it, I don't think there is anything you can do other than edit the mission to the proper 001 day and re-record all your tracks.
  2. it was mentioned at the beginning that the manuver was started late. If the bandit was already locked prior and the bank was done immediately upon launch warning you probably would have seen the missile self detonate several hundred meters in front of view instead of going past, and as far as the second one goes...even if it did explode, my experience is you would be safely past. Take it for what it is Pilotso, if you know so much more then you will be ahead of everyone else. I have no experience with this in real life, but in the game in seems to work for me ;)
  3. я благодарю вас для ваших комплиментов Rugg. Эта пленка будет превосходной продукцией!!!
  4. Either you mean the simulated radio comms effect, or you don't find my voice sexy??? :P Glad you guys liked it :) I don't have as much knowledge as some others here, except maybe in sony vegas but I thought this was a good visual display of something I do know;) Like enigma said " a pic is worth a 1,000 words" and the advantage of split screens i think help. I had thought about doing simular movies for the following for the Su-33.... 1. Carrier landing 2. Mid-Air refueling 3. CCRP/CCIP and loft bombing 4. Guns and energy management.....(I think there are better pilots to explain technique, but maybe a colaboration or something?)
  5. Some little town that just got a flyby
  6. Cool shadow Su-24MR Escort refueling Su-24MR Escort completed (notice the ATC guy)
  7. Arc Fisheye bang! 1 It hurt... but not that bad 2 3 4 Nightcap 2
  8. i don't know.....looks photo shopped :P
  9. looks like the overall cockpit illumination is gone. Is this correct?
  10. i agree. Also, haven't tested this in 1.1 but in 1.02 if you were to put a ground based radar on red and blue then destroy one of them, both sides would still recv' data from the one thats left. 1 thing i did notice is that there is a range on the ground based radar, it is almost the size of the theatre, but it is possible to go beyond the detection range of the ground based radar. (I think i had the EWR at anapa, and lost detection past the south western point of the crimea.)
  11. IM w/ Omega and Dante, f-pole and Split-S are the most reliable. Because the are highly visible you might get lucky and lock up an inbound missile w/ Helmet mode, but I wouldnt recommend it. I might make a little BVR movie.......sound interesting? If the F-Pole is done right you can maintain lock through the entire engagement, unless he breaks defensive, then switch to eos and give him and ET/T. Split S probably has a higher success rate of evading the missile but it puts the enemy to your back. btw, you cant hide from AI, they know all. ;)
  12. I was there and it was a close battle, until a Cesna with mounted stinger missiles on the wings pwned them both. :) p.s. Thanks for the info GG, I think I understand. I will try and confirm/Learn more about some of this stuff when I go to MAKS.
  13. Not sure I understand correctly..... Do they operate independently (able to be moved by themselves) of the stick or in unison with the stick's movement? Also, maybe you could explain the senerio that would produce where you would have the Nozzles going in opposing directions?? Thanks. p.s. This is interesting, who knows if its true. http://www.flymig.com/forum/posts/1086197524.htm
  14. does anyone know how the TV nozzles are controled? ie Hat switch, lever?
  15. the clouds are awesome.
  16. Hey all, I had posted this response on the UBI forums to somone needing help with refueling so I figured I would put it here in case anyone needed help. ;) Lets say the Tanker is flying at 7000m and 450k airspeed.... As you approach 1-2km from the tanker: 1. Extend the refueling probe, and select your basket (1-Left, 2-Center, 3-Right) Note: Center basket is slightly lower than side baskets 2. Set your Altitude Hold at 6995 (your HUD will go from 6990 to 7000 so you must estimate the 6995) *PRIOR TO setting Altitude Hold adjust your vertical trim pitch for level flight. This is done so when you are near the basket and need to disengage Altitude Hold to make a minor adjustment you wont pitch wildly up or down. 3. Control your speed! Once you are 0.2-0.1km from the basket your speed should be about 455kph. Engage Speed Hold at this speed and bring throttle to idle. Continue to 0.0km from the basket and then reduce speed by disengaging Speed Hold to 452kph, then re-engage Speed Hold. v1.02-Continue at 452kph and line the probe up to the basket. Once you make contact, Auotpilot takes over and you can just hang out and watch your fuel gauge. v1.1-Just before contact you need to be as close to SAME speed as tanker as possible (450.1kph is ideal) The reason is the once contact is made Speed Hold is engaged at that current speed. *If you end up making contact going to fast, you need to retract the nozzle and tap Speed hold off and back on again, the re-extend the nozzle Now you need to keep an eye on your distance from the tanker (chances are you will be going slightly faster), and keep your wings level. 4. Once you are fueled up retract your nozzle and disengage your Speed Hold. Hope that helps someone p.s. Adding wind and turbulance makes for a good challenge http://www.teambsr.com/ BSR{L()Csta> Old School GR Squad Senior Squad Leader
  17. Prepare to engage! Anyone know what these charts are for?
  18. Blockade gone wrong.
  19. Those little Molniya's pack heat. Unfortunately he still got worked.
  20. I know that you can speed up the track, but not during render.
  21. GG, hates the insane manuvers of the flankers, always the first to bring up how the F-22 will sneak up and shoot them down when people praise the awesome DISPLAY's of the Su's. I am curious to know where you get the info that the Raptor can perform the same or better. The only vids I seen have some basic stalls and slides performed at 20-30,000ft. Who cares anyway. These planes rock.
  22. give it a try, and have him connect at 128/128. If he is stable on the runway it should be fine.
  23. cant wait to got to MAKS 2005! btw, because I'm doing the MIG-29 flight, I get vip treatment at the airshow, including seating on the good side of the runway ;) I will take a camera. btw, nice flanker vid. I hadnt seen that 1.
