The power lines in BS, Bs2, & A10C have always been far too thick & spoil an otherwise brilliant landscape. I seem to remember Wags saying that something would be done about it. Please do so a.s.a.p.

Have A10-C, BS2, & World running on Windows 7, 64bit PC. After a 2 week holiday, I returned to find a "critical Windows update" installed. Now none of the foregoing programs will start. An error DINPUT8.dll not found comes up, but DINPUT8.dll is in place. I have updated the video drivers, reinstalled Direct X, uninstalled BS2 & reinstalled without success. I installed the original BS again & that works fine, also FSX. Has anyone else had the same problem?:(

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have now tried reinstalling an earlier video driver & installing the suggested DX9. I have also reinstalled World but still no joy. Still getting the message DINPUT8.dll missing from the computer. Any more ideas?

I hope someone technical can assist. I have BS2, A10-C, & World installed under Windows7 64 bit. All were working fine until I went on holiday for 2 weeks. On return 14 Windows updates! Now none of the programs mentioned will start & I get a message "Program Can't start because DINPUT8.dll is missing from the computer. Please reinstall." Can anyone explain what has happened & if I have to reinstall all the programs or just one. Your help much appreciated.:(

Hi Bruce Thanks for that, do I need to run Lock On before installing FC2?

I have the original disc version of Lock On and wish to install FC2 disc version on a new PC. I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I also have the original Flaming Cliffs. What is the best procedure to end up with FC2 only installed. I understand that the original Lock On should be installed first, but do I need to install the original FC as well, or can I simply install FC2 onto Lock On.:noexpression:

Hi Mastiff Yes, got that info from the download site. My question is, do I copy in the entire set of textures, or only the ones relating to the SU25, as there seems to be textures for the A10 included.

Can anyone help a pc novice. I would like to upgrade the cockpit visuals in the SU25. I have downloaded the upgrade files but on unzipping there seem to be files for the A10 etc. I only want to improve the SU25, so which files do I have to move into the texture folder to achieve this? Clear help will be much appreciated.

Where can I install a simple home made mission. There isn't a "mission" file in DCS World. Do I have to create one, or is it not permissible yet as this is such an early edition?:huh:

Sorry but I am not very pc savvy. I have downloaded the 5 files & put in one folder, but there are two exe files one for "world" and one for "P51". Which do I click on first? Help will be appreciated.

I want to install BS2 on a new PC. I have the original boxed version of BS1. As I only want BS2 and have previously bought the upgrade, will the upgrade install over just the basic install of BS1, or do I have to install all the BS1 patches first? I hope not! Advice much appreciated.:noexpression:

Hi Grimes Your mission sounds great. I play as a singleton mostly. I downloaded the latest version, but it is a rar file, not a miz. Moved it into the missions folder but it doesnt show up. As you can tell I am not very clued up PC wise, can you help point me in the right direction? Thanks in anticipation. Tonym

Hi All My name is Tony 74 years young. Ex aircraft stress engineer living in North Wales. Pretty proficient with both BS & A10 C. Decent rig with TM Hotas Warthog etc. Would love to hear from anyone in the area to swap ideas fly online etc.

Good luck Perryfincher with your new set up. A word of Health & Safety warning! The heavy TM controls and using TIR in a long combat situation have given me a terrible stiff neck and pains all down my arm. Boo hoo shame! Tonym

Can anyone tell me where own made voice recording wav or ogg files should be placed. Can the files be put into the miz file and then accessed from there or can they only be put into the sound files collection?

Can anyone tell me where to find a sound file suitable for alerting the pilot that a message has appeared i.e. one that is written as part of the mission?

When using "take of from runway" for speed in starting a mission, the aircraft always faces the same direction i.e. the same runway, irrespective of wind direction. Is this the case, or have I got something wrong?:noexpression:

Is it possible to get a helicopter to land not on an airfield or a FARP. Every time I try ,the landing waypoint reverts to the nearest airfield.

This is a simple mission suitable for us not so brilliant pilots. It involves use of inputting target co-ordinates to locate and destroy two bridges to stop an advance on Sukhumi by enemy armour and then taking out as much armour as you and your wingman can.
