  1. This is helpful and should be made a sticky. I actually had to do this for the first time last week but changed grip with it plugged in, fortunately no damage was done!
  2. When FPSVR is running you can get to the FPSVR settings via the Windows system tray.
  3. Are you sure it won't fit? Unless you've used all of your slots already then you can use an x1 PCI-E card in a full size slot.
  4. It locks the frame rate to 45FPS, without it you get horrendous stuttering if it can't maintain a high enough frame rate, as SteamVr switches between reprojection modes automatically. I had this when my framrate hovered just below or above 45FPS and with the motion projection indicator I could see it switching modes rapidly causing stuttering. I haven't tried turning it off completely, but I've heard that may cause other display glitches?
  5. Glad you've got it sorted!
  6. Ahh ok, are all of your cores clocked at 4.7GHz? You 'may' get some benefit from Process Lasso by stopping other processes like SteamVR from sharing the same cores as DCS.
  7. Do you use Process Lasso to lock DCS to physical CPU cores or disable hyperthreading?
  8. Check your WMR Windows settings are still at 90Hz, it may have changed to 60Hz. If it looks OK then make sure SteamVR is also set to 90Hz, I've had it once where SteamVR changed to 60Hz and needed a reboot to reset it back to 90Hz.
  9. This may be a dumb answer, but I assume you've enabled VR in the DCS settings in-game? Alternatively try using Skatezilla's excellent DCS Updater utility, it has buttons to launch DCS with VR On or VR Off, which takes some of the hassle out of launching with VR. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053&highlight=skatezilla
  10. Did you try enabling the motion reprojection indicator? This will tell you exactly what it is doing, I had loads of stuttering when I first setup VR and it turned out the reprojection was flipping between modes causing lots of stuttering, I've now just turned it on permanently and run at a pretty constant 45FPS without stuttering. The other thing worth installing from Steam is FPSVR (I think it's about £4), this program will display a graph while you play showing whether your CPU or GPU is maxed out, you can then adjust your DCS options to get the best performance. Are you running DCS from an SSD or HDD?
  11. Ok, so a little more info, I've run the Chrome viewer app and while it is detecting the current value of a switch in DCS it isn't able to change the switch value from the Chrome app or DCS Flight Panels.
  12. Hope someone can help - I'm trying to get DCS Flight Panels working with the MiG-15 but the switch panel buttons using DCS BIOS are having no effect, I have a couple of other DCS modules which work fine, so I'm not sure whether the issue is with DCS BIOS or DCS Flight Panels. DCS Flight Panels v3.6.22.6421 Let me know if there's anything I can test to help resolve this?
  13. It's the same stick, just means Thrustmaster can sell the stick separately from the base which was never an option with the Warthog branded stick.
  14. Great, I'll give it a try when my JetSeat arrives.
  15. I only see the rainbow effect in DCS, I don't see the same effect in Il-2 so I think it must be something to do with the way DCS generates the graphics.
  16. So is Voicemeter not really needed for SSA and a Buttkicker as it produces sound separately from the selected Windows sound output? My Buttkicker is currently connected to my soundcard, but I use USB wireless headphones which aren't connected to the soundcard. Do I just leave my headphones as the main Windows sound output?
  17. Does the Simshaker software (and sound module) work with just a Buttkicker, or do I need the JetSeat too? The reason I ask is I've received my Buttkicker and got it all setup with the Voicemeter software (so I can run wireless headphones) which works fine, however as soon as I start the Simshaker Wings software and point it to the Voicemeter entry for the soundcard I lose all sound. My Jetseat is on order and I've had confirmation that it has shipped today, so I guess I'll find out soon if it's because I don't have a JetSeat yet.
  18. I opened up Steam VR last night after it had updated and noticed my Reverb freq is now locked to 60Hz rather than 90Hz, has anyone else seen this?
  19. To be honest, I don't think you really need an extension as it has a fairly long throw anyway (22 degrees, I think). With an extension you may run into issues with clearance with the WarBRD base, however an S shaped extension may provide sufficient clearance. Have you worked out roughly what length extension you need? As HC Official said you may be better off with the CM2 base as it has a smaller throw compared to the WarBRD and so shouldn't hit the desk mount when you push forward on the stick.
  20. Yes, a new MB and CPU will more than likely need a reactivation. Do you know what type of Windows license you have? OEM or retail?
  21. I'm wondering what these guys are like? The Huey collective isn't available yet though.... http://oe-xam-simulators.blogspot.com/?_sm_au_=isVp9sS9FDrM4pfr
  22. Have you tried changing the value up to 1.0 on the second line? That should give you the result you're after. Value up is essentially the 'off' position but you need it to be the 'on' position for VR zoom. So: {category = vr , down = iHeadTrackerZoomToggle , up = iHeadTrackerZoomToggle , value_down = 0.0 , value_up = 1.0 , name = ('Custom Toggle VR Zoom')}, {category = vr , down = iHeadTrackerSpyglassZoomToggle , up = iHeadTrackerZoomToggle , value_down = 1.0 , value_up = 1.0 , name = ('Custom Toggle VR Spyglass Zoom')},
  23. Great, thank you!
  24. Hi Andre, I'm looking for a little clarification about running the JetSeat with a Buttkicker Gamer 2. If I wanted to run both devices with DCS World and Il-2:BoX then I would need the following software: Simshaker Wings Simshaker Wings - Bass Shaker Option Simshaker Sound Module Olaf's Simshaker for Aviators Is this correct?
  25. Order #2610 received, thanks!
