  1. Yes, I was told that and thank you! Now to tell the other 10 Hornet drivers on the MP servers to change their AMRAAM's default age-out time before they rage quit, well, now that's the problem.
  2. I would like to know when the fixes for the Hornet's air-to-air radar are on track to be completed. Associated Bug Topic Titles Target locks for BVR, RWS or TWS keep and keep disappearing for no reason A-A ACM problem locking target with ACM Mode AN/APG-73 Radar loosing contacts very frequently [CHECKING] Radar Acquisition PRF Issues [CHECKING] No Range Gate on Radar Tracks in MEM Can easily detect and lock missiles with radar (also shoot them down) My ACM mode is also locking up targets +99 miles away. Also documented but unable to find the post. Wag's YouTube video, "DCS: F/A-18 Hornet Available Now!" video is 3 years, 1 month and two days old as of this post, so I don't think it's inappropriate to ask now when the Hornet will be out of "early access", or at least have the radar issues resolved.
  3. Came here from the locked topic "Target locks for BVR, RWS or TWS keep and keep disappearing for no reason". ETA for a fix?
  4. Came here from the locked topic "Target locks for BVR, RWS or TWS keep and keep disappearing for no reason" ETA for fix?
  5. Confirmed bug on my end. Many updates since the release, but the release was quite a while back. I would like to know when a fix is planned for this please.
  6. Confirmed on my end. Un-designate started a track on an outbound missile; happened more than once. Not posting track file since it's a known issue; please provide ETA on solution.
  7. @BIGNEWY, Please give us an update on this issue from 12/16/2018; there's some pretty frustrated folks out there who would like to know what the status is. "Yeah, I reported something similar awhile ago, it didn’t seem to gain any traction." "This has been a thing for over a year at least." "Thanks, an update would be very appreciated. I didn't mean to come through as narky, it's just my not-so-subtle way of bumping the thread." "No fix in the latest beta. So another year has passed, and we're still dealing with incoherent RWR alerts, just because ONE of the client is getting lit up somewhere. Can we please get an update on this issue? This is beyond frustrating" "Yes please. It's been a thing for years. My rwr shouldn't be screaming at me from a mig 200 miles away, WHILE I'M INSIDE OF A HANGER!" "I asked several times on Discord."
  8. BigNewy, I'm sorry I don't have a track file. After experiencing issues I come here to see if anyone else has the same. Other Hornet Bug posts with the same effect: "Target locks for BVR, RWS or TWS keep and keep disappearing for no reason": thread started 4/23; latest reply 6/12 with same issues. "Under certain conditions, radar scan centering in azimuth is unavailable.": 6/18 "Entering TWS Auto Breaks Antenna Elevation": From today. Also frustrating is when you're attacking a helicopter, lose lock and go in for guns, then this happens and you get splashed... "Gun Pipper extremely inaccurate in some cases, may be related to long flights.": Posted 6/17 but a known problem since April. Or finally get to shoot and radar locks onto the incoming missile and you get splashed... "Can easily detect and lock missiles with radar (also shoot them down)": Annoying radar problem from 6/17. There's many videos, Chuck's guides and elsewhere explain the usage on the Hornet's radar quite well. So this is either working as intended and there's quite a few people who need to update their manuals (when to go Auto vs Man azimuth for example) or it's not working as intended and was wondering when these issues would be fixed.
  9. I would like know when this is planned on getting resolved; weeks of campaigns of watching our AWACS and refueling planes on multiplayer servers getting destroyed by MIGs making it past 30 Hornets is losing it's charm. This bug is destroying playability for not just the owners of the aircraft, but all the other airframes that depend on it. I was really hoping it would get fixed in the last update after seeing the posts on the forums. So is there an ETA on this fix? Is there any way ED can put the radar back to it's overperforming state? The reality is I'm getting locked from 100 miles away from AI MIG-31s on the ground anyway so I don't think it's that big of a deal to have the radar on the Hornet overperforming until resolved; it's the lesser of the two evils.
  10. Hey @Xavven, I was wondering the same thing regarding SEAD and after some searching found some answers on "the ultimate f-16 site". They have a nice forum. Some interviews on "Fighter Pilot Podcast" are worth listening to as well. There's a lot of variables between nations, timeframes of use, etc. There's also directives from branches that have changed over the years; cluster munitions can only be had on X station when there's other AG munitions, etc. and they get more into that there. Having said that, there's a fine line on this forum providing such information to an extent and rightly so in my opinion; that just means I have to find my "realistic" answers somewhere else. I hope this was vague and clear at the same time, lol. Hope this helps.
