Hi Nemsis, Hmmm?? I know ZQuick mentioned something about RCTRL+ENTER. I will look into it. AP channels were all on except FD. I will double check and read more about wind and instrument. Thanks for the suggestions Nemsis, please have a look at the track when you have a chance. When I trim, the diamond remains on the left or right and never in the centre where I’m flying to, I noticed that when I turn waypoint off, the diamond moves to the middle when I trim. So what’s your comment about this? Especially when hovering!

Hi there, Last night i was trying to figure out heading-trim-hover. I'm not sure if you can fast forward the track i have attached but i had difficulties keeping the chopper facing my preferred heading even by using Auto Turn To Target the chopper would still circle around itself. My Settings: 1) 15 Dead Zone on all Axis. 2) The trim to center is enabled in the gameplay options. Thanks for the help. Learning2010_0622.trk

well i have to reach for the emergency AP disengage too! and the FD i can always map that to a keyboard or my controller, i would rather maneuver while chopper still stable rather than trying to stabilize then maneuver.

would this disengage all AP channels? oh boy, if so i will be in big trouble.

1) Have you tried cleaning the disk? 2) Have you tried copying the files to your hard disk and install from there? 3) Can you borrow a DVD drive and check that your existing DVD drive is not at fault. 4) Check that you can install the game on another computer. 5) There are some setting in DVD drive properties to enable something, not sure what it is but check in device manager.

I only have the stick, i hold the trim button with my thumb only when trying to leave a hot zone immediately, say an incoming missile for example but this is bad because i can't fire flares with my thumb!! so i have to use my left hand which is awkward. So in situation like this, would it be comparable just to enable FD instead of holding the trim?

so the AP heading hold tries to maintain the chopper with current heading and that heading changes if i have the auto turn to target or it has nothing to do with the heading?

ZQuick, I tried what you have suggested yesterday with regards to the diamond on the HUD. What sets the position of the diamond on the HUD? the way point? how to change the heading to where i want to fly the chopper? Thanks,

GRoss, It's good if you join a squad and communicate, If you just go online and join a game you would have a hard time understanding what's going on, black shark has nice campaigns that you can get yourself busy with, there is a lot to learn, from navigation, datalink, abris, shkval, trim, hover, etc.... so i wouldn't worry about online for now. hey, great tip. I was struggling yesterday hitting convoy of tanks. I used gun sight so I can fly fast and bombard them with rockets. The problem is as OP mentioned is holding the trim key to try to align the pipe on the convoy then use another button to fire rockets. I don’t see why I can’t use just one fire button instead of one for cannon and one for rockets because you can only have one active weapon at a time! Suggestion? Thanks.

Rockets Thank you all for the wonderful tips. I have locked a target in my shkval which is 7km away from BS. What is the best possible approach to hit this target with smoke rocket from 7km distance? how do i calculate my pitch? to accurately hit the target with a smoke rocket?

EtherealN, first of all i don't know how this happened. Usually when i hold the fire button it only fires one missile but during the mission all of a sudden two missile got fired when i held the fire button? i think i might have accidentally pressed a keyboard but can't remember which? ok, i probably hit the medium/long mode. now in such mode, aren't the two missile supposed to hit the locked target, they were both fired at the same time?

Hi all, last night while playing online, i fired two missile, i could see two leaving the BS but when i pressed F6 for missile chase view i only saw one explosion from one missile, there was no second explosion near by to be found? have i missed something? Thanks,

glad to see you moving forward smoothly. Last night i tested to hold trim button while maneuvering the chopper, man oh man it does wonder. I'm in love with trim now :D

Do we really need to follow what the manual is suggesting on page 10-25? "When flying with director control, it is necessary to set the pitch and bank angles with the cyclic in reference to the aircraft datum. etc........"

i tend to love trimming now after i checked the box for trim to centre or something in gameplay options.

indeed. I'm going to red the manual about flight director and give it a try as well. It sounds really interesting. I wondered why that button is lonely!! Conure: Don't overwhelm yourself, it's not an exam, do one thing at a time. When i started i enabled immortality option, unlimited fuel, etc.. in game options. It sucks when you have to restart the game because of constant crashes. update: It's not as easy as we thought, read pate 10-24

Hi, What's you current system spec? if you current system can be upgraded then you would probably manage to buy everything else in your list except #4 because you have already upgraded your PC. One thing that i recommend if you don't already have is TrackIR 5. If you're going to buy a new PC, try to build it yourself, not only you'd be able to choose the motherboard you like and you know you can upgrade but you'll save lots of money as well. Good luck.
