Are you engaging auto hover? LAlt-T. You have to stabilize and slow down the chopper before you engage auto hover. Try to put as much keyboard settings on your joystick as you can, the one you use more often. Auto hover, slew shkval, lock target, cage/uncage shkval, etc...

i'm not sure what i see is the same issue the OP has described. But i see thick black shadowy column moves on mountains, it almost looks like it is scanning the mountains. It doesn't bother me but just thought of mentioning it.

lol, i was confused was that an L or |. I have the trim centre option checked in gameplay options, would holding trim is still valid in my case? The procedure you should with regard to trim is it with alt-hold on/off? <never mind this, i read your post again>

Etherea|N, I also think that turning ON the altitude hold (the fourth button) is useful in stabilizing the chopper, would keeping it ON have a negative effect on the ability to maneuver the BS quicker?

in my dreams i don't use shkval to lock targets i use GS lol. Whatever ED can get as close to BS i will be happy.

Thanks GGtharos, i know i was going too fast but i thought i might have forgotten to turn something on and that was why i had warnings. Then again, if i'm hovering and saw a missile coming toward me, i feel that the BS is very hard to maneuver and leave the area immediately. It takes time for it to gain speed or am i missing something?

Thanks Frederf, i have more questions: Differential engines control handles 1# What is it for? i know when i start up the engine i have to click on PageUp twice but what happens/what is the benefit of clicking the PageUp three times? 2# The collective, why do i keep getting a warning (Rotor RPM warning push-light) if i pull up on the collective too much? #3 Also why do i get a warning when i fly too fast? 30 on airspeed indicator? #4 why Missile warning system with laser jammer, self protection system mode of operation select has no function? is this BS real limitation or game limitation? If i'm going to get shot down by infrared missile that missile has to be fired from a short range, correct? do modern air crafts have infrared missile detection system? The counter measures equipped with BS, is it only good for infrared? what about laser guided missiles? Thanks.

hello all, I wonder if someone can answer my questions. 1) Would the ABRIS have an option to give warning about incoming missles and ground hostilities? 2) Is there away i can have high resolution shkval? i have changed my cockpit to high resolution and played with brightness and contrast but still hard to spot enemies on ground! i would like to wish for Apache with the option between AI and human player as a co-pilot.

BS would be my choise It boils down to how much time you are willing to invest to learn without getting frustrated because you can easily get so with BS. If you have the time to learn go for BS, the manual start up procedure is amazing (try to learn it). I have memorized it :pilotfly: then learn the weapon system (big challenge but lots of fun) then the ABRIS. This was how i learned it but i'm still a noob when it comes to ABRIS :joystick: and i'm still learning. The guys before me pretty much summed it up for yea. I do like LOFC, i just don't have the time right now to go through manuals and videos to be able to play it the way i like it to be played. The thing that amazes me about BS is flying feels so real that if you jerk the BS it will spin and plummet to the ground. Good luck whatever you choose. I couldn't agree more with your idea. It would be awesome to play with second seater aircraft, but hopefully we can do it with AI and human player.

I'm learning this sim and i like to fly F-15C but i get shot down often by infrared missiles that i can't see/detect! When you have plenty of enemy aircrafts it will be hard to predict source of missiles! What is the best way to detect those missiles or at least know who fired them? I would like to hear your opinion on this? i have posted a similar question in lockonfiles.com

sound issues. Hi guys, i'm having sound issues with windows 7 64 bit, when flying all of a sudden the engine sound disappear or sometimes appear!! Are we supposed to be hearing the engine sound inside the cockpit! ECM has no sounds but i see them fired. I have the soundmax onboard "Asus" P5Q. Would the 3DSoundBack_Beta0.1 fix this problem?

i don't use F12 anyway, i use a button on my joystick, i will check to see if that button is used for something. that's what i have been doing, moving my head all the way to the back and recentre using a joystick button but trackir keeps putting me back in the middle between seat and hud! it works in black shark but i don't understand why not in lomac?

the centering key is mapped to my joystick and when you said before i play, did you mean in trackir software or the first moment i'm in the game? and the other solution is to unbind head movement keys from the numpad! Thanks.

Hi all, When i centre the trackir with F12 it puts the camera halfway in the middle between the seat and the hud, meaning i can yaw backward to the head rest and forward to the hud. What i like to be able to do is, when centering the trackir F12, i need the camera to be at the head rest position (all the way to the back) just like black shark! how to do that?
