Hello.. 11.4 don't work at all for me...The loading screens and options screens all work fine but when i start a mission and it finish loading the only thing i see is an all GREEN screen...? dissapointing since the 11.4 promised improvments for the 6000 series... I have two 6970 What could be wrong ? 11.3 works fine !

Hello... I dont know if this has been mentioned befor or if it even work very well...It was just an idea that came to me...i'm not at my gaming computer now so i have not really tried it yet... When JTACs call out airdefences like for example: ZEUS, 0 nautical...SA-8, 3 nautical south east...SA-8, 3 nautical east... As i understand it the ZEUS would be right at the target triangle sent over from the JTAC... easy enough to find but thoose SA-8s would take quite a bit of serching to find (atleast for me)...what i was thinking is this: - Use the TAD screen in EXP-mode and HOOK CURS - then hook the target triangle if not already done - move the TAD cursor 3 nautical miles to the east of the target triangle and make a markpoint...(you see the distance and bearing in the bottom right of the TAD screen) - Select markpoint as steerpoint and then slave TGP to it question: Does this put the targetpod cloose enough to that SA-8 that the JTAC called out as ' SA-8, 3 nautical east' for me to find it or is this way of doing it to unprecise ? Is there a better way to find thoose targets that are not at the coordinates given by the JTAC ?

Hello, Kankkis This works for me: - Go to the controll settings in the options menu. - Find the COCKPIT PANEL WIEW TOGGLE and asign a button on your joystick to it... - Then find: WIEW LEFT SLOW (this will zoom in on the left MFCD) and asign a joystickbutton to that. WIEW RIGHT SLOW (this will zoom in on the right MFCD) and asign a joystickbutton to that. I also use: WIEW CENTER (this will zoom in on the HUD) WIEW DOWN SLOW (this will zoom in on the CDU) I Have the Toggle button asigned to my pinkiebutton on the joystick and the 4 wiewcontrolls asigned to the hatswitch on my throttle... I press the pinkie button once (no need to hold it down) to choose the panel wiew and then use the tophat to select witch wiew i want ( press ondce and no need to hold the button)... To exit panel wiew i press the pinkie button again... Hope this works for you..

Fox 111, you describe the very problem i have been having with my attacks (almost all from hovering possition). Being shoot at by MBT main guns and TOWs while hovering...If i can find my targets from Maxrange then hovering attacks usually works fine but as you mentioned often terrain makes that difficult...If a have to move in closer then the hover attack is very dangerous...Thats the reason i feel i must get better at attacking while moving...Some good tips in this thread i will give a try...

Hello :pilotfly: Attacking targets when i am in a hover works well for me but attacking targets while on the move is a diffrent matter...I feel it gets a bit much for me to both fly the helicoter in a good and safe way and also use the shkval to lock my targets...What pilot aids are good to use while attacking on the move ? altitude hold ?, turn to target, routemode (with no waypoint, trg point, airfield on), routemode with one of the nav buttons on ? What speed is about right when attacking on the move ? any help is appriciated since this does not work well for me.. Thanks !

Hello, Nighthawk I also used the autohover befor when landing on FARPS but have stopped using it since it did not work very well... Now instead i approach the FARP at a slow speed and in a gradual decent...As you get closer to the FARP reduse your speed more and more using the cyclic and keep decending...When you reach the base area you should be a few meters above the ground and moving forward at just a few kmh..Now use small movements of the cyclic and collective to possition youre self over the landingplate and touch down...I don't think it is that big a deal if you have 1 or 2 kmh of forward speed when touching the ground.. As for auto decent...i rarely use it..I prefer to use the collective...I think the intended use of it is to be able to decend behing cover when in autohover in the combat area...

I have been out of town for a couple of days..(bad timing to post the question..:doh:) There was some good tips to get me started...two obvious misstakes i have made so far is to hover on top a hill and i usually move in to close when using guns and rockets... again..THANKS !

Hello ! A tactical question ? How high above ground level is usually ok to climb when hovering or moving slow when you have reached the maximum stand of range to expected enemy air defences ? I understand that this will depend on what weapon systems the enemy is belived to have but as a general rule ? If you can't locate any targets when hovering close to the ground should you increase the altitude to 100m ?, 300m ?, 500m ?, 1500m above ground level to try and locate targets or is it better to move forward to say a hill or a building up ahead that will provide cover and initiate a hover behing that... I have learned to fly this machine good enough now i think to do some fighting but my knowledge of battle tactics is somewhat limited :pilotfly:. Any advice would be appriciated...Thanks !

If i remove the original OPTIONS LUA file will i then be abel to rename the file that i changed the setting in and saved to an other name..to take the place of the original ?? Windows will not stop me from saving that ? If i remove the origal file and cant save the new one in its place...The game will not work i guess...

I looked at the links you provided and have been able to find the lua-file but i can't save it after i made the change from 3 to 2 on the effects line..:(. i get a window message telling me: C:\ProgramFiles\Eagle Dynamics\KA-50\Black Shark\data\scripts\options.lua CAN NOT BE MADE.. I just try to save it with the SAVE function not SAVE AS...but it don't work..i haven't changed the name of the file ???

Hi all ! :pilotfly: I have looked at the FPS threads but can not find any information on my problem...The game runs fine with 30-40 FPS but when there is a lot of smoke from rockets, explotions and also fog the FPS drops very low ! :doh: 10 FPS or even lower...Why is that ? Could it be easily fixed with other settings for the graphic card - Radeon HD 4650, driver 9.5... Any help would be appriciated ! This game is absolutely amazing and is the only game i play now along with combat mission SHOCK FORCE from Battlefront... Thanks !

Hello Fehn ! I think that will be easy to fix...Go to the OPTION menu from the black shark start page...from there choose CONTROLS from the top left. - leftclick the down arrow to the right of the word ALL at the top - leftclick on the second line ÁXIS COMMANDS´ - Leftclick on the field were the row ´FLIGHT CONTROLL COLLECTIVE´ and the collum ´X52 JOYSTICK´ crosses - leftclick CLEAR at the bottom - leftclick ADD at the bottom - When the new window opens - move the throttlehandel on the X52 all the way forward and then all the way back. That should set the throttlehandel on the X52 to be the throttle in the game.. - leftclick OK - leftclick OK That should be it :)

Hi all ! I bought this game last week and i totally love it ! To be able to play it better a also bought the Saitek X52 and i´m very happy with theese controls...One thing though that don´t work for me...The mouse funtion on the throttle doesn´t work...Anyone knows what to do to get it to work ? I´m playing on a laptop...any help would be apprisiated :)
