Perhaps you need to increase pixel density. What pixel density do you have now? You can see the pixel density in the last menu called VR.

AIM-7 are terrible at hitting targets. Honestly I find that if I fire them at more than 10miles there is zero chance of a hit. If I fire them between 10 and 5 miles or so there is a 25% chance they might hit a target that is aggressively maneuvering. Below 5 miles against an aggressively maneuvering target will likely miss as well. I don’t think it is a script error. If you look at the hit ratio for AIM-7 in real life it is extremely low, just like in DCS.

Hi, I am relatively new to DCS and VR so maybe it is just me, but I seem to have difficulties spotting enemy aircraft during dogfights. Are there any setting changes that you would recommend to make it easier to spot enemies in a dogfight? Other than turning on cheats of course. More specifically, is there a setting in the graphics that helps with this? Thanks!

I would agree with you but invariably the loss of lock happens at the exact same time that that Jester is playing around with the radar mode

Hi - so this is my classic scenario - I have STT lock on a bogey and closing. Everything going okay. At 45miles I fire a Phoenix - invariably i hear Jester doing some clicking in the back seat and he says he lost lock... every damn time. It seems to me Jester adjusts the radar mode and thus loses the lock. Is there a way to prevent him from playing around with the radar modes when I have a perfectly good STT lock? Him losing lock means that there is no way I can do a long range Phoenix shot because he will invariably lose the lock. Comment lease help!

Hi all - I am almost done the f-14 Cage the Bear campaign and want to learn more about the F-14 and more specifically how to use the LANTIRN pod and LGBs. Does anyone have recommendation on what to do to learn the basics, aside from watching YouTube videos? Is there any kind of tutorial on LANTIRN ? Thanks!!

I have noticed that during missions the wingman basically does nothing and eventually ejects for no apparent reason. Utterly useless. I think he ejects because he rubs out of fuel. Can the developers make him have unlimited fuel or something? Otherwise he just rubs out all the time.

Hi - lets say I was in a dogfight and used the PAL mode but later want to revert to the normal or TWS modes on my MFD in the front - how do I do that? Thank you!

Hello, My current system is this: i7-6700k 4Ghz; EVGA 2080ti; 32GB DDR4; warthog HOTAS; Logitech pro flight pedals; oculus Rift S I have really good performance and am really happy, but I want to take it to the next level and up the setting even more if possible. My understanding is the DCS does not support SLI for graphics cards. What would you recommend I upgrade so that I can push the setting higher? thank you!!:helpsmilie:

So I am pretty much 100% successful at carrier landings. However, every single time I land Jester freaks about and say something about bolter, like Bolter, Bolter, Bolter!! But I always snag the wire and stop. Why is Jester freaking out? Is it because my landings suck and I am pretty much doing marginally acceptable landings??

it Seems that the f-14 radar is realistically modelled but that the enemy radar is always optimal.

Any advice for mission #2? I destroy the two first Mig-23 easily but then the three mug-21 take off and they usually fly too close to the SAM sites such that I am dodging missiles left right and Center when I dogfight them. Also SEAD seems to be highly ineffective. Any advice on dealing with the Mig-21s?

If I order him to tanker will he refuel on this own or do I need o be there too?

Hi - so I have started trying the campaign but I notice my wingman goes bingo fuel way ahead of me. I believe he drops his tanks when we go in close so he has less fuel than I do. He ends up crashing after a while. I did not find a way in the comms to get him to return to base or to go refuel in his own. Is this possible?

Problem solved. Thank you. I always tell him to lock enemy ahead rather than target ahead leading to a no can do reply. Thanks!
