Wait what!?!? Seriously?? So if I am flying higher than the target I can’t do an STT lock? Why would that be?

Hi - I am having real problems getting Jester to do an STT Lock. Every time I have a target ahead and request a lock under the Jester menu he says “no can do”. Any ideas?

Hello - this may be a stupid question, but I have the warthog stick and when I use the weapon selector switch there seems no way to elect Phoenix. Do I need to use the keyboard or is there a mapped key?

Hi - I was having numerous crashes playing DCS in Oculus Rift S. These crashes would occur after 5 minutes of play some times and after 2 minutes some other times. There was no consistence if when the crashes would occur. The crashes would reset my computer. I had no crashes with any other programs but DCS in VR. I was going nuts trying to figure out what was wrong: I reinstalled drivers, reinstalled oculus software, thought my USBs were overloaded, got a new oculus replacement from Oculus, etc... Finally I changed my power supply and have not had a crash since. I hope this helps someone who is as desperate as I was with these crashes. Cheers.

Hello - so I finally braved the first mission in the campaign. Success, but not due to my skill probably mostly luck. One thing that was tough was the AWACS and friendlies screaming a bunch of jibberish at he over the radio half of which I did not understand. Is there a manual or guide to understanding comms language? Thank you!

Sorry but I am a computer noob. What do you mean running the oculus beta software? I run DCS in steam and I select the oculus mode when starting the game. Or is it something else I don’t know about?

I have this exact same problem. In addition I can now no longer run DCS world in VR without it crashing within one or two minutes. The crash restarts my computer entirely. I just can’t even play DCS world anymore.

If I understand correctly I you are saying go to the Jester top menu (I.e. say Jester to bring up the situational menu, then jester again to bring the top menu)? Once at the top menu use keystrokes from that menu? Are you saying that the top jester menu is lock and not affected by the situation? If that is the case I would say Jester, Jester and then the command? Sounds like it could work out.

Hi everyone, I am using VR, so I am trying to integrate Voice Attack commands to my game. For now it seems very promising! I have a question regarding giving Jester orders. Since his radial command menu is dependent on situation, i.e. whether I am in the air or on the ground, I don't see how it is possible to give orders like "Jester, STT target front". Instead I have to do "Jester, command 1, command 3, etc..." Since there is no keystroke that directly binds every Jester command it is not possible to have easy rational voice commands. Rather it is just basically using voice to command a keystroke...if that makes sense. Any hints? Thanks and sorry if this is retarded, but I am new to this whole thing.

Hello - does Jester dispense chaff and flares as needed when the F-14B is engaged by enemies or is that 100% the pilot? Also same question for ECM? Thank you!

Stealthbob - do you mean you can connect and disconnect the wire at the headset level??? I did not know that. That might have been my issue - sigh. Getting a new one anyway.

DARPA - I have the exact same issue that you described. Pretty much word for word. I tried everything that Oculus tech support recommended and finally they asked me to return it for replacement. I have sent it out and waiting to get a new set back. I am hoping this will resolve the issue. I will let you know

Maybe that is what I was doing wrong. I was trying to use the brakes to control my movement rather than the rudder. I will give it a shot and see.

Hi - I want to get this plane, but I use VR only so that I need a plane to have clickable controls with a mouse. Is this plane have a fully clickable cockpit? Otherwise I can't see my keyboard when I have my VR on so can't click any buttons. Cheers

Hi, I am trying to do the tutorial for taking off the F-14B from the carrier deck. I just can’t seem to be able to make tight enough turns to get lines up with the catapult. I have Logitech pro flight pedals. Any hints about how you o do this? I keep rolling off the carrier. I know I a, supposed to do braking on one wheel to turn tightly but does not seem to work. Is there something that I need to make those brakes work properly? Thanks for the help.

I have been playing around with my setting to see what looks good and I settled on pixel density 2.0 and I then select the “medium” graphics option. It’s pretty nice. I think I will try what you recommend and see how it goes. Thank you.

Hi - my CPU is Intel i7-6700k 4.00ghz. Thanks for the recommendation. Would it be better to have 2.0 pixel density and lower some of the other setting or better to have high on other settings and lower on pixel density. I currently have most stuff on high. What is the setting that is easiest to sacrifice and get more performance? Sorry for all the noob questions but DCS is pretty overwhelming some times.

Hello, I have a 2080ti and 32GB of RAM. I use Oculus VR mode and set the pixel density to 2.0, which I think is the minimum I want to put it at. I find that at pixel density 2.0 it is kind of stuttery (low Frame Rate??). Is there anything I can do? Would getting another 2080ti in SLI make a difference? Would getting more RAM make a difference? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!
