figured it out. My sklar designate undesignate mapping was missing. Remapped and everything back to normal.

For anyone interested. I recently upgraded from my TM 16000M. I had a TM16000 for about two years and the TDC axis began to drift, I believe because of continually pushing the TDC depress button. I dampened the drift with the curvatures and remapped the TDC depress button which worked for a little while, but eventually the axis drift made the game unplayable. I bought a new TM16000M to replace the old one...because I'm cheap and was relatively happy with the first. The new one came with the same TDC axis drift problem right out of the box! So I did a lot of research (forum and you tube) and decided to buy the VKB standard and Gladiator flight stick. I went with VKB standard because it comes with extra buttons in case any wear out. You can also reconfigure the stick and throttle if you don't like the placement of the buttons. I've only been using it about 3 months now but am very impressed with the quality and functionality. It's kind of mid range from a price perspective but it's the only one that I could find that comes with extra interchangeable buttons. I still have to set up detents for my jet fighters, and am relearning most of my aircraft due to my new mapping, but I am loving the VKB solution. I contemplated a second Gladiator flight stick instead of a Throttle because you can lock the horizontal axis on the Gladiator and use it as a throttle, but I am glad I went with the VKB Standard throttle as it has a whole lot more functionality. If I was just flying choppers and warbirds I think I would consider two Gladiator flight sticks. Is anyone else using that configuration?

Hi, I was playing the Mad campaign up until mission 5 with no problems. After the last update I can no longer lock my targets in the Sklar. I tried an instant action as well as a mission file and the tracking does not seem to work in any kind of mission. I checked my controls and the lock target button is mapped....and worked up until about a week ago. Any thoughts? I've attached a couple of mission track files. I'm having a similar problem since the last update. I can't lock a target. My binding says the lock target button is working when I go into the controls but when I'm in the game I can't lock. I'm playing the Mad campaign mission 5 but I also went into the instant action menus to the shooting range and can't get it to lock either. I didn't track it but I will play it again and add the track file. Any one else having a similar issue?

Tried the ACLS and just instruments a few times and finally had to skip. Close but no cigars!! Was fun trying though!

Hey Badger. I'm on mission 5 and on deck my wingman gets stuck behind the Hornet beside him and can't get around it. I tried multiple times and it occurs every time. Any thoughts? Only started after the last update! Thanks.

Hey sorry for taking so long to get back to you Skeet! You guys were absolutely right. I'm not sure how the radar elevation got bound to a button, it wasn't me that bound it. But I cleared it and the trouble went away. Completed my mission with no hiccups! Thanks for the help, much appreciated. Not sure I would have ever figured it out on my own!

I'm still having the same problem. I bound the FOID/Raid button and tried the mission again. I tried using the bound key in the mission and then tried just using the button on the MFCD and neither one worked. You can see the screen momentarily switch to MFOV and NFOV but then quickly switches back to WFOV and the zoom button doesn't work at all? Not sure what to try now? Here's the track file again. I also noticed that the last update changed all my bindings for the Viper....I'm wondering if there is a similar issue with the Hornet although everything else seemed to work as usual. I'll start by checking all my bindings. Any more thoughts? No Mfov or Nfov .trk

I do not have them binded. I do have the tgp as soi with the diamond. I am able to move the camera to the harbor and lock up the target. I can also switch from tv to ir mode. I'm not sure I follow your suggestion. Should I map that button? I'm just using the mfcd, not my stick or throttle. Thoughts?

Hi, I am having trouble in ROTPL2 mission 4. I am targeting a ship in the harbour at wpt 2 (designated as target) but I can't get the targeting pod to switch from WFOV to either MFOV or NFOV and also the zoom button isn't working. I am just using the buttons on the MFCD, I don't have any of them mapped, and I can't get it to switch views. Can someone look at the track file and see if you can figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have tried the mission a number of times to no avail! Badger has looked at is as well and doesn't have the same problem when he flies it and he doesn't think it is a mission editor issue. Thoughts? No Mfov or Nfov .trk

Hi I am on mission 4. I can find the target with the FLIR but I can't get it to switch to either narrow or medium view...it always switches back to Wide view and I can't get the zoom to work either. I am just using the buttons on the MFCD. I didn't save the track file, but if no one has any ideas I'll fly it again and save the track file. Just wondering if there are problems with the tpod with the last update? Thoughts?

Okay I have easy comm's off. I tried again. I have the radios working before I launch but they seem to quit after the launch. No laughing at the end . I was hoping to try the new ACLS on this mission, and I thought I had the option the previous time I flew it, but the option didn't come up on the HSI when I clicked on the Tacan and ICLS this time. And as you will see at the end I'm probably going to need ACLS.....or the skip button.....close by no cigars!! Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong....just not sure what it is. I turn on Tacan at 75X and ICLS on 14. I switch the Primary radio to 3 as instructed but I can't contact the ATC. I switch to ACLS and set the datalink to 336, and I can see I'm linked ALS1 on top right corner, but I still can't contact ATC and I don't get any data transfers. I forgot to save my track files which I will do next if no one has any suggestions. Any thoughts?

Finished the Jug campaign a couple weeks ago and just finished the Debden Eagles campaign. Both were excellent but I love the Mustang and this was the first time I really spent any time on the Normandy 2 map (gotta put a plug in for that). The map is also excellent. I like it better than the Channel map. The Debden Eagles lets you fly the Mustang, but also explore most of the Normandy map since you get much further range in the Mustang. It was an excellent campaign and I must say Mission 10 was my favorite!! I'm not as familiar with the map so I had a few problems finding my way back home after I lost of the squad lead a couple times...did let me explore the British isle though! Nice Work Reflected!!

Hi I tried the mission again and still can't contact whiplash. I finally remembered how to create a track file. Maybe someone can see what I'm doing wrong the file? The title of the track file does not represent the issue...I just copied over an old file. Thanks f16 not dropping rel ang 0.trk .trk

Hi I wonder if someone can help me? I start in the air (F10 push), my radio is on Comm 1 (305) and I have no problem communicating with Darkstar. At Point Bravo I switch Comm 1 to preset 20 (266) but I get no response. I still get Darkstar's air to air BRA warnings but no Whiplash. I have engaged the air threats and go back to point Bravo but still no Whiplash. I have tried switching just the preset to 20 and then both the preset and the 266 frequency but still nothing. I have tried changing the channels directly on the radio on the side panel as well as the HUD but still nothing. I'm sure I'm probably not configuring something correctly but at this stage I don't know what it is!! Any thoughts?

Hey guys I was having problems with both the instant action and the red flag. I slowed to under .9M in the instant action and the bombs dropped. In the red flag the bombs did not drop, so I took it off auto pilot and manually steered over the target and the bombs dropped. I think you were both correct. Either way my problem is solved and I thank you both for the help!! Thanks guys.
