I figured out my problem. I'm on Wifi. I adjusted my antenna a bit and problem solved. Downloaded in about 20 minutes. Got my new AH64D as well. Unfortunately I hit a tree on my first flight out!! No worries though I'm pretty sure I can buff out the scratches. Nice work on the Apache ED...well worth the wait!! Night and day from the old Janes longbow for you that are as old as me to remember it!! Just need some campaigns now...although I think I'm going to be in flight school for a while yet!! Impressive work ED!!

I'm having the same problem. I'm d/Ling at 100Kbps on average. Can't even get an ETA. My updates are always slow. It's a new computer on Starlink for network. My d/l speed is normally in the 50Mbps range for all other services. My computer says win 10 already has auto tune enabled. Any other ideas? I'm on my second straight day and night trying to update. Should have added it starts out at 3-5Mbps for the first few megs of data and then drops right off.

Sorry, probably a dumb question, but I have 2.7.9 beta installed and I still have the older 2.7.5 (I think it was). Can I delete the older version without hurting the new version? It looks like they are totally duplicated in my folders but I don't want to take a chance on totally screwing up my campaigns? Are new versions supposed to replace the old version? Like I said, mine seemed to create a complete duplicate of the game. Thanks.

Thanks guys, I re ran the repair utility with the slow method and it worked. I am back up and flying!! Thanks for the help.

Oh sorry, and I don't use VR. Hi I ran the dcs repair module. I restarted the computer and tried to launch the game. I think it got worse. The game doesn't even launch now, I just get a message that says "important files damaged: bin/cockpitbase.dll. It also says it created a log so I have attached it. dcs.log dcs.log.old

Hi, I had some problems upgrading to 2.7.9. I finally turned my firewall off (which I've never had to do before) and it looks like it installed okay. I tried to play and the game authorizes and launches okay and I get to the main screen and when I click on anything, campaign, mission, instant play or training the game crashes. Each time it created a crash report and I sent it off. Hopefully you can figure out what when wrong? Thanks.

I only play on DCS ED, I don't use steam, I have a I7, 1080 card and I don't crash ever. I played a user file campaign last night for the first time for F18 hornet and it started out with a very slow frame rate and then crashed on take off (not the plane). I turned down a number of the settings in options which seemed to help a bit with the taxi, but still crashed once I got in the air. I also don't have any mods (unless downloaded campaigns from the user files count as mods?). I don't use VR, only trackir. And I have no idea how to create a log, report a crash, run a cleaup or a repair? Any suggestions? I haven't tried turning my settings way down ( I went down to 80%), but I'm not sure why I should have to when the only time I have had a problem was with the syria map?

I'm having similar problems...I can kill all the targets, there are none left showing on F10. The bombers and hinds have all done their thing. I do not get a RTB, and if I RTB the Hinds are hovering over the airfield and never land.

Thanks ChillNG....I think I figured it out. I was using F10 but I had easy comm's still enabled...once I took that off it worked fine. But thanks for the reply.

Can you use auto start for mission 1? I auto start and quickly use F10 for start up when the radios are turned on but always fail when I take off? I noticed I'm turning on Foxtrot and not Echo ( not sure that matters)?

I have the same problem as Wdigman. The campaign worked under 2.6 but it seems to be stuck on mission 2 as Wdigman says. I have no idea how to edit the files....I'll wait as well!! Thanks for the response.

Yeah its not working for me either...can't get past mission 1 on Pandemic because I can't shut down!

Sorry to keep buggin you Flappie, that worked great but I have 2 campaigns (Operation Piercing Fury and Serpants head) that I had to install into the Mission Editor file manually in 2.5 to get them to work and they are the only ones now that aren't showing my progression in 2.7. I think I have all the files from the two folders now copied in both 2.5 and 2.7 but am not seeing any progression on just those 2 campaigns...all else is great!! Any ideas? Thanks again.

Thanks Flappie I asked elsewhere in the forum and was told I had to remap everything manually. This is great, worked perfectly. Getting my saved games back looks like it could be a little more challenging!

I just downloaded 2.7 and it remapped all my binds in all my modules. Is there any way to copy a file from 2.5 to 2.7 so I don't have to remap them all manually. I created an new instance of 2.7 so I have both 2.5 and 2.7 available?

I'm playing Operation pierced fury...only 5 missions in but it's really good.

Hey thanks again for the thread MarvK. The yellow flash above is definitely what I am experiencing. I am only getting it on my spitfire in Normandy...haven't tried my mustang in a while but I'll give it a whirl to see if the same happens. I haven't had any problems on any of my other planes or campaigns.

Hi I'm new to the forums. I started playing the epsom campaign (sp) and I have done 2 missions and in both I am getting yellow flashes that are filling the whole screen just for a second and then gone. I have lots of other planes and campaigns and have never seen this in any other modules. I'm also not very techy. I was guessing maybe something wrong with my graphics card but then can't understand why it would only do it in this one module? I have a fairly new computer I7 with a 1060 graphics card. Any ideas on how to fix? Appreciate any help!
