My performance in the Horrido Campaign with VR is unplayable. I own EVERY aircraft and Every campaign/module/addon/3rd partys ever sold for DCS. I actually came on here to voice my issues. If you have VR, BAIL on Horrido!. I lowered visual settings to a point of being barely enjoyable, and Mission 10 for example STILL turns into a LITERAL, slideshow. I played Baltic Dragons FA/ 18 campaign on much much higher settings and had a few stutters, but nothing terrible in the least. I am actually considering not completing the campaign cuz it just turns into a mess every mission.

Hi all! THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG HERE! My engine seizes even being warmed up, gentle throttle. I am TRYING to fly Horrido and I cannot progress because the engine seizes after takeoff, under 25rpms. They also have a mission in Horrido where the engine seizes on purpose. This wasted HOURS of my life as I thought it was the same bug I am dealing with. VERY ANNOYING CAMPAIGN! I really do not think I am doing anything. If this was real life they would have never used the FW 190 in war cuz literally 1 out of every 5 takeoffs is successful. I will try to load a video of this but time is not on my side! Is there a way of clean installing this aircraft? I own literally every plane and none of them have something this annoying and crippling! BOOOOO! THERE IS A REAL BAD ISSUE WITH ENGIINE SIEZING AND IT WONT STOP! Jack thx for response! Hello folks My engine keeps seizing on takeoff. I am using the throttle gently, and I have not had this issue before. I don't see any reason for this, the engine just slows down, if I lower the throttle it prolongs the dying by a few seconds and then it seizes. After a few reloads of the mission I seem to get a functioning bird. Granted that maybe a coincidence and I might be doing something wrong. WHATS GOING ON HERE!!!!??? Thanks Fang

Hi. No my problem is WITH Oculus Mirror. I am hoping to get away from using that. Thasnk you for your response though! Does anyone know where I can look to try and mess with the settings myself? There must be a place to edit which eye DCS displays on the desktop

I am hoping this is something simple but if not I am hoping someone can work with me on this. Let me preface this with the sitch. Up until recently I have done all my streaming through Oculus Mirror and OBS. Ocuulus Mirror allows you to choose which eye to display and a bunch of settings. As of the last 2 weeks Oculus Mirror has started stuttering and freezing. Unfortunately OBS and Oculus have nowhere near the same type of community that we have on here. I was unable to find a fix which means no streaming. Then I discovered I could actually improve stream performance by cutting out the middle man and having OBS capture the 1/3rd width DCS Preview screen directly. (video feed comes direct from DCS.EXE) This brings me to my current problem which may be a deal breaker. I need to be able to have the DCS VR screen switched to the RIGHT EYE not the left! The current view does not show the viewers the HUD or gun sites which makes the video half useless. There has to be a setting somewhere in the DCS or if not maybe we could MAKE a setting! Any ideas or help is GREATLY appreciated. I am still waiting for even ONE reply on OBS or Oculus forums! Thanks Fang!

Ok thank you, Yeah that was what I was looking for. I will try this and report back. Hopefully doesn't mess up assignments. I swear sometimes those just disappear too on me (I switch aircraft and none of the older profiles have anything assigned. That's neither here nor there

I was troubleshooting a seperate issue, did no changes to DCS just restarted my computer via hard shutdown (holding down power button). DCS will no longer load in either VR or 2D. In VR, it loads the hanger, in 2D it is a blank/black windowed screen that never changes. Repair does nothing. Maybe delete files? Help I'm really not in the mood for this today... Thanks Fang

Thank you again Baltic Dragon! This campaign is really the flagship of the DCS world. When you combine all that DCS has to offer, voice attack, Viacom, Super Carrier, VR, you really get something not found in any other sim, past or present. I should know lol. Also about that patch you mentioned, if that is still available, I will gladly put it on my REAL flightsuit next to my F-16 HGU-55 flight helmet... or even better maybe on my flight helmet bag... I dunno lol! I look to look at it on my shelf now and then. I am so happy you guys read my post, I really encourage people to put this ON TOP OF THE MUST HAVE LIST! Wait until you have the full experience with Super Carrier if you do not own it yet. My livestreams of this campaign on FB literally brought alot of attention to DCS! And boy does life have no purpose anymore! I did the entire campaign in VR and as a diehard Sim enthusiasts since Combat Flight Simulator, I have NEVER had anything so immersive and real! The amount of immersion and quality of the campaign literally is an experience unlike anything. I also own rival sims and Raven 1 now has me favoring scripted campaigns over dynamic campaigns. There is nothing like this thing. So much data to digest, so much detailed documentation and such great voice acting. This campaign literally helped me live a life long dream. So many times my mind would believe I am in a real life scenario! Just amazing! I do own every other plane and campaign so I think I am gonna try Serpents Head or Horrido next, but the hangover after completing such a detailed campaign is still there. I want to just put my 2 cents out there. WE NEED MORE CAMPAIGNS LIKE RAVEN 1! Especially the poor neglected F-16. The F-16 needs an in depth voice acted campaign DESPERATELY! If anyone has any details on when we might expect more from Baltic Dragon, or other developers please tell me! Campaigns like Raven 1 REALLY bring the aircraft to life! I know other sims are currently having the issue of having excellent aircraft and scenery, but nothing to do with it. Raven 1 practically made me feel like I just woke up onboard the carrier. I practically can smell the burned coffee in briefing the briefing room. It really was like being there. Bravo Baltic Dragon! Bravo! Lets get more campaigns like this ASAP!!!!

Hey guys, I reinstalled my sim a few days ago (special thanks to the forum for help) and I am still having issues with the Maverick and moving targets. Specifically Mission (13?) in Raven 1, I can't get the missile to uncross and be golden. I did it once no problem and now I cannot launch at all. I'm going by memory so excuse some inaccuracies in my description... I start with the Hud as "SOI", focus on the sub's general area, sensor switch to right DDI FLIR, turn on FLIR mode in TGP, tap right sensor switch 2-3 more times to lock the moving target. Flip the lasing switch on to the right of pilot, activate "Trigger" in TGP right DDI, pull trigger, "LST" in Hud flashes, sensor switch to left Maverick submode in left DDI. I then hit Uncage button, the upside down triangle travels to TGP box in HUD, Maverick remains crossed out. I try triggering the lasing again, uncage recage etc, Maverick is still not launchable. What should am I missing? Thanks Fang

Hi guys. So I decided instead of using Skatezilla I uninstaslled and reinstalled. The irony that I could not update without deleting files but if I just wipe out DCS I can get the update without deleting non-DCS files... Anyway, before deleting I copied files from Saved Games and from the Eagle Dynamic folder from the C drive to the D drive. I than reinstalled on the C Drive SSD and I am now going to try to move files back. This is the first reinstall I have done since owning DCS. I am hoping it fixes some random issues I have had with the sim, Viacom, etc. My question is where can I find the Sim settings folder (Graphics settings, etc), Saved misson files and campaign saves. I want to try and copy only the needed files to get DCS back to the way it was, in order to avoid putting the issues I had back into the new install. Thanks all! And again, if anyone is listening from Eagle Dynamics, could we maybe have smaller sized updates, I don't want to have to do this again for the next update... Thanks!

Hello All Unless I am reading this wrong the latest update is 61 GB!? I simply do not have the room on the 500GB SSD. I have 1 TB on an other drive and 20GB left on the DCS drive but I dunno how I am gonna update now... Anyone have any suggestions? I own every aircraft and campaign so I am a little hesitent to risk losing saved files and trying a complete reinstall. Man though, 61GB? Could we have not broken that down a little so that I don't have to scramble deleting files? I would much rather 3 or 4 updates than one GIANT update. Seriously I dunno how I am ever gonna update this thing. Thanks Fang

Thank you all for the responses. The mouse being out of window is a good theory however even the mouse cursor "falls through" on the buttons. I can put the rift controller down, move my head than slowly scroll the mouses crossmark on that side and it sometimes is there and sometimes falls through as well. I remember an issue like this in one of the aircrafts after an update but I can't remember which one. I think it was addressed and it fixed itself. THIS TIME, however, I am still having issues. I am trying to revert back and I will report if I see anything but as of this moment I am still not getting anywhere. Don't take this the wrong way folks, but I honestly am bummed to see noone having the same issue. It literally happened with the latest update. Any ideas or words on this let me know. I will update this if it gets fixed so if I havent updated past this post, assume I am still fighting the issue. Thanks all! You are truly wonderful for helping your fellow pilots out! Fang Sigh

Hey folks, I wrote a post about this already and either it was deleted or it is not showing do to forum updates. PLEASE tell me others are having this problem. In the F-16 and F18, possibly more I discovered, the right panel is unclickable during startup. After takeoff the clickabaility of the right panel in both aircraft KINDA returns, sometimes I can point at a button and click it and sometimes not. I need help with this and I need to figure out where the link is to revert back to the previous OB version. This is with the Rift S. This worked fine before the last update. Thanks Fang

I AM A DAY ONE SYRIA OWNER AND I CANNOT FLY THE SYRIA MAP BECUASE FPS IS UNUSABLE! All other maps work well, channel is a little fps bumpy but the Syria map has been straight broken for me. No comparison to any other maps. I have vowed not to order anymore maps from the developer personally.

Please point me in the direction to find how to revert back to older version. Thanks folks

I'm in a hurry so Mods please move where needed, but I am hoping to attract some attention before you do. I updated this morning and I cannot select the right side switches with the F-16. When I point at a switch it acts as if nothing is there. Sometimes I can get it to flip a switch randomly but right now, in VR OB, I can no longer cold start the F-16. Again the left side console and front console all work fine, but INS sensor switches etc do nothing when I point at them. Anyone else with this problem? Thanks Fang
