I posted this in Raven One, didn't get any responses. Not sure if this is what was meant by the thread about FLIR being investigated but here's my problem. This "issue" has now come up enough times that it warrants a thread. I am just starting to master inputting coordinates thanks to all of you, so I could be wrong. My TPOD gets drunk. Today I put in the coordinates in Mission 9 for the first armor target. To my surprise I actually got ta picture in the DDI of the tank when inputting the coordinates directly (no decimal conversion). I inputted coordinates to a waypoint then hit waypoint designate. The TPOD was off a little off by 10-20 feet but it was close enough to possibly hit. THE PROBLEM: When I look in the HUD the Diamond is nowhere near the image on the DDI. The HUD shows the Diamond in the Ocean. The bomb fall line is several notches to the left of the diamond. They do not line up. I have had this issue on other Raven 1 Missions, also when manually scrolling the diamond. For instance in another scenario, I was trying to use the HUD diamond to scroll a target and the DDI camera image was practically on another planet. I have crude pictures taken in VR. If you notice the diamond in the HUD is pointed at the armor and the runway, but the image in the DDI shows dirt. The camera direction is several angles "lower" than the diamond on the HUD.

I guess over to bugs then?

Hey folks, Had a little difficulty spotting the very first talk on in Mission 9. It probably has do with the fact that I am using VR and my in game eyeballs don't work as good as real life. Trying to find the 7 story building marked by an x intersection. I don't see the building nor a clearly defined x intersection. I started going low but got shotdown. I even ejected and walked the island but could not find a 7 story building Wanna Talk on a talk on? Fang

Thank you all very well thought out and detailed! I think some of this is stored in my brain somewhere from past Grim Reaper vids. This should all piece together. Even before getting in the sim this is making sense here! ALso, I think "Rock" maybe preloaded in the mission already... Thanks all Fang

Hello Mr. Booty, lol Thx yeah, I'm still a little dense on this, so which waypoint is rock? If you want you can make a video, also you could include how to create a waypoint for tpod destruction if you wanted. I know GR has a vid out there but the time I have is so little to figure all this out. Thanks Fang

Hi folks, Another issue I am having is finding where the translation is for the JTAC callouts (ie. ROCK 24 @25 or whatever they say). On Mission 4 I dunno how to find the ships or patrol my sector. I can't find where this info is but I would probably need it explained in complete idiot foolproof form anyway. Thanks all, you helped me get through mission 3! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I cannot thank you all enough yes that did it . That ended an entire month of 2 hours per day me redoing this mission! Just for clarification for other people I entered those coordinates WITHOUT boxing precise or changing the way the F18 displays coordinates. Basically just inputted those numbers. Now I should be ok doing that for the future. Thanks for sticking with it! Now I am having an odd issue/glitch with using the TPOD for this mission but I will start a new thread for that ("TPOD Problem and help with callouts"). My TPOD worked for the first bomb, then it goes wonky and the camera no longer points where the HUD thinks its pointing.) Even switching to CCIP just shows my bomb fall line Horizontal to the right or left. I had to strafe the jeep but it worked. I'm almost back to feeling confident in the F18 Thank you all Fang

I did all of this to the best of my ability. It missed. My coordinates given are 30 30 04 47 48 04 converted by dividing 4 by 60 = 30 30 06.66 I honestly dunno what to say at this point.

I'm done with mission 3. Done. I have been doing it for weeks. it has made me late for work and all around a miserable person. I was having issues dropping the 2nd bomb. I could not get the coordinates to work. Many of you graciously tried to help but noone could tell me the exact inputs for this specific mission. I was gonna try to drop the 2nd bomb today BUT THE FIRST BOMB RUN STARTED GLITCHING! Today when I tried to move my TPOD around it was all wonky. The diamond in the HUD was going all reversed to my inputs. When I moved the HUD diamond over the truck (or anywhere) it is not pointing at what it is in the HUD. (Diamond on the HUD over the truck, TPOD shows only desert, not even a road. I couldn't get my TPOD to focus on ANYTHING!) I an hour just circling around trying to bomb THE FIRST TARGET! I didn't even get to the second target!!!!! MY TPOD JUST GLITCHED THE WHOLE TIME! :(:(:(:( All this after ANOTHER WASTED 2+ HOURS OF FLYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone Know what in the entire universe could be wrong there? :(:(:(:cry::cry::cry: Please someone tell me how to go in and manually skip mission 3. There has to be a way of skipping this mission. I am so sorry I bought Raven 1. So freaking sorry man. I just want to see something different now. Hello all, Thank you for trying to help, I am very appreciative for your responses so please do not take my frustration as a sign of ungratefulness I have added yet ANOTHER 2 hours to the 20+ consecutive hours spent on this turd. I tried the numbers on the link above (which is still is not number by number idiot proof) and I am missing the target by even GREATER distances. Please somebody tell me, number by Number (example TGT UFC + N + 3 + 0 +3 + 0 + 0 + 4 + ENT + 0 + 0 + ENT) what The Long and Lat and elevation needed is. I even clocked in late for work today trying to pass this mission. I do not have alot of free time lately so please, please, please, give me this in "cheat form" so I can complete this. I also hope later down the road the development team adds some kind of note or something to stop other people from going down this horrible road of frustration. This is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG mission. With NO way to SAVE or checkpoint your progress and there should not be this big of a translation gap for us average Joes. No mission should leave you stuck for weeks and make you late for work, I feel this is a major fail for the Raven 1 Campaign (it certainly destroyed the fun I was having with it) I enjoy learning and overcoming obstacles but this is a glitch as far as I am concerned. If cannot progress naturally without needing "Cheat Codes" and being confused out of your mind than I think the problem goes beyond user error. Not to mention the non-working "checkpoint" which neither saves your progress or lets you try again. This would have cut the burden of this mission in half. This is way too long of a mission, and this comes from someone who enjoys flying NY to LA in a sim REAL time.

This did not help. PLEASE in IDIOT form, cuz I am an idiot tell me NUMBER by NUMBER what should be entered. I put this info in and I am even more off target. At this point I am calling this a mission glitch and I hope the development team either puts in the proper coordinates, or notes the correct input because no mission should take 20+ hours of your life and make you late for work out of sheer frustration of wanting this to work. Again. Please. Number by Number. Example. Hit TGT UFC and press 3 0 3 0 ent 0 4 or whatever needs to be entered. This mission has really destroyed the campaign experience for me personally.

I have spent countless hours on this stupid long mission and I am freaking tired of it man. This has spawned from the thread here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4499370#post4499370. Basically I cannot get the bombs to hit via the coordinates. I have wasted soooo many hours on this dumb mission I at first was thrilled about. Please tell me the exact Elevation Coordinates, as they need to be entered because nothing will get this bomb on target. I'm sure itrs just me, but if I don't get what needs to be entered verbatim this is going to go on for the rest of time. Not really needed cuz all I need is exactly what needs to be entered, spelled out idiot proof. Lastly. Could you please get the mission save feature to work. Now this is 2 and a half hours of just pure suck.

I still cannot get the bombs to hit. I tried inputting the info every which way. It only takes the data one way and every time it misses the target hitting the same spot. I AM SO SIIIIICK of this mission POS mission. I'm just chucking 2 and a half hours off my life in the trash each time. If they are gonna make a save feature than MAKE IT WORK! Otherwise allow us someway to get to the objective to practice if it doesn't work! I thought the stupid guy said it was 010 for elevation. Thats my only other guess but at this point... it will be ANOTHER 2 hours, whenever I can find the time, to try 100 instead of 10 ft elevation. SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE THIS MISSION PLEASE TELL ME IN IDIOT FORM NUMBER BY NUMBER HOW TO ENTER THIS FREAKN DATA. (How is it that Youtube, a video streaming service is vastly outdone by simple Facebook live?). Anyway. Youtube is a joke these days... I dsigress. So today ground forces called out the coordinates again, "N30 30 04" same format easting, and I inputted N 30 30 04 Enter 00 Enter. After putting in elevation I got a drop diamond and the appropriate symbology but the bomb missed the complex by 20-100 feet (max) too far and to the right. It was close, so I do not know if this is still the wrong way or it is elevation (The elevation call I believe was 010 which I marked as 10 feet) but I am getting closer Literally lol Fang

In the Raven 1 campaign you receive coordinates for the second target and it displays in a caption on screen. The reason why I mention this is the mission tends to spell out exactly what to do in case of confusion and I am surprised if they are giving numbers that need translation. Could be right tho. Its been a while since I had to translate coordinates for the Hornet so I honestly can't remember. Gonna have to Grim Reaper it if thats what you guys think, I just find it odd that the mission would hold your hand on other procedures but leave the translation and any mention of it out of the caption Stupid "save feature" in the mission never works. (I wonder what that is about, says mission is saved at a the tanker stage but I never spawn there). Its a shame cause the thing is freaking 3 hr trip each time making testing the specific coordinates super hard and tedious. Fang

I run VR so I dunno how I am going to describe this. I am on Raven 1 Mission 3 (FA-18) (I have been stuck on this &*%$er for far too long) Today I figured I finally knew how to drop the JDAM via tpod and coordinates however the latter for me is still messing up. I input the coordinates as follows, N30 30 04 is read out to me. I hit PP1/Mission/TGTUFC/ and enter N 3 0 3 0 ENTER 0 4 ENTER (Easting the same) Elevation called out is 010 so I put 10 ft elevation. Info appears to enter in the mission page appropriately under PP1 which is boxed up top. The bomb is just one small guy but I do box the station under QTY (tried with it unboxed to). The bomb is aligned GOOD. Despite this I get no circles on my HSI and on the bombs main page the timer is stuck at 99. Lastly I noticed on that page there is something like TOT PP crossed out (Hard to read with the X through it). In the HUD it shows PP and Drop setting. The HSI does not show any circle's or markers. Like I said on the bomb page it shows TOT or TDT or something PP crossed out. I cannot get this bomb to guide under PP in any circumstance. Whats going on? Thanks Fang
