  1. Hey pilots. Thought I would share some experience with a new keyboard I just acquired. I recently bought the Razer Huntsman Analog keyboard. This keyboard has the ability to mimic analog inputs on keystrokes. I decided to test this by mapping WASD to the KA-50 Shkval axis. (Ends up being X and Y axis, WS acts as X and AD acts as Y) The input actually felt really natural and was honestly easier to use than the mini-stick on my Warthog. While I typically fly more in VR, so it won't be so helpful, I figured I'd put this out there for any other pilots potentially looking for a new keyboard. (be prepared to pay a high price though)
  2. I was able to correct the issue I was having with NumPad 5 centering my view, despite having it unmapped everywhere. That apparently causes the problem. I ended up remapping "center view" to something like alt+shift+ctrl+capslock. Something that was complicated and unused, and that has fixed the problem with numpad 5 causing centering issues. This has improved my experience already even more.
  3. I did. I do have the numpad 5 removed from all controls I can see in DCS. I have a feeling its somehow related to the mod, but I don't see anything I can configure that has keybinds enabled. I'm still super happy with this performance and if I can't figure this numpad part out, its just motivation to make some button boxes.
  4. One problem I seem to be having is NumPad 5 wants to cause a recenter, and I cannot for the life of me figure out where that control is coming from. Causes my view to get all wonky. Anyone have any ideas on where that control could be? It's not mapped in DCS to anything other than ICP functions for me. Seems to be connected to the mod somehow.
  5. This is the most amazing thing I've done for DCS. Thank you so much for this! I can actually fly around and not feel sick anymore since the frames are so smooth.
  6. You'll need to go to the company page on Facebook and email them. https://www.facebook.com/Slaw-Device-Company-109826363878115 email slawdevice@gmail.com I emailed back in April and am still on the waiting list myself.
  7. I have 3 Cougar MFD's for my setup, and I've noticed that MFD 3 allows for remapping these controls. Perhaps the limit is on the MFD's 1 & 2 only? You could try renaming the MFD's to see if that allows mapping to different controls. You'll need the Thrustmaster drivers for that.
  8. One thing I forgot to mention, if you have any modifiers you use on your controllers, those are housed in a separate file. So you may have some commands that won't work. You should just manually re-add those modifiers in DCS as its the easiest option.
  9. You don't want to use what I posted since that was just an example. To start, I would map some kind of control to your stick as it is right now. That will generate a file Joystick - XXXXXX {xxxx........}.diff.lua, this will contain the brand new hardware ID. I would then find your backup file, replace just the information in between {} (the hardware ID) then paste the file over to the directory DCS uses. I would not overwrite your backup files in anyway, make new copies of them, in the event you do something wrong. If you have any more questions about it let me know and I'll try and help further.
  10. When you look at the files you backed up, there should be a long string of numbers and letters. That's going to be the hardware ID of the controller. You'll need to edit those to match what the hardware ID's are now since you have a new computer. Windows would have reassigned those automatically. An example, one of mine looks like this: Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {7706D510-24D2-11ea-8003-444553540000}.diff.lua However even if I reinstalled Windows, it might now look like this: Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {7706D510-24D2-11ea-8003-444553541234}.diff.lua It usually much more different than that though. What I tend to do is remap one or two controls to find the ID, then just copy that string of digits over my old files. I'm sure there's a more efficient way, but that's how I've been doing it for years.
  11. Another glowing review for Deltaalphalima1. Got my slew upgrade in today, put it in and the control is just worlds different. There is so much precision and speed when you want it. Has changed my warthog completely and I'm looking forward to flying much more now. Bravo sir. Bravo.
  12. My very first was Hellcats Over the Pacific on an old quadra 700 Mac. From there I went to the A-10 series and then finally got a windows PC with some Jane's F-15 Edit: I forgot to add Graphsim's wonderful F/A-18 series on the mac as well!
  13. that one is impressive! nice find!
  14. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed any small little details that just make them like the game that much more. For instance, earlier I was just messing around and shooting stuff with the GAU8, and when I was out of ammo, I noticed on the external view, the cannon still rotates if you hold down the trigger. I thought to myself that it was maybe one of the coolest little details I've ever noticed in any game. Also, really happy to be playing this beta finally. Didn't play LOMAC, only BS and this, so I haven't had a good A-10 exprience since A-10! Cuba on my old mac. :megalol:
