  1. Take off trim for M2K is neutral. Touching it on the ground will result in a red DECOL alarm.
  2. In the plane you often go from AP amber to AP green just to get a nicely trimmed aircraft. The only case where it is not sufficiently precise is just before AAR. You disconnect the AP and then go for a slight light trim action. In some circumstances AP connection is not possible because you have too much effort on the stick. In that case you have to trim roughly to decrease the efforts, then you can go AP on, and come back with a nicely trimmed aircraft. In some circumstances, like close formation, it is however delicate to use the AP to get a good trim since you can not afford an unwanted AP action (like around 10° AOB).
  3. Keep in mind this is a fly by wire aircraft, efforts in the stick are 100% artificial. The aircraft is trimmed for a given set of airspeed / altitude / G load. When you use AP you are usually below 2G, and therefore when you disconnect the AP your aircraft is perfectly trimmed for whatever attitude you had at the given Z/Vi set. It's only when you start pulling Gs that you will feel an effort in the stick. There is absolutely no difference in terms of effort in the stick between a level flight and a 45° climb... The sim is somewhat weird in this regard compared to the real plane, this is an a new habit to be taken.
  4. Hence my comment... IRL the airplane is trimmed for a given speed & altitude when you release the AP and you have no effort at all on the stick at this moment, whatever your attitude. This is a discrepancy with real FBW behaviour
  5. He said "the autopilot leaves trim in an extreme position". This is never the case, the trim is normally left by the AP in a perfect neutral position...
  6. A good sim upgrade could be done here. IRL going AP on (green) and then AP off or sby (Amber) leaves the plane trimmed for the current flight conditions (at the time of AP disengagement). This is very often used to do a "quick trim" instead of using the trim hat on the stick.
  7. Definitely not the Amber sound attached, sorry

    @Elmo: CCIP

Wow this is harsh... Some of us used to do it for a living and took their time to give you detailed and justified technical arguments to explain you the how and why, and you sum it up by a condiscending "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do." This is a pretty effective way to take people of goodwill out of Razbam's threads... What a pity.
  9. Anyways, this is a good look at what a real cockpit looks by night when it has not been treated for NVGs. Which is the case for most of the M2000Cs... So quite realistic indeed. IRL radar display lighting has to be put to the minimum to avoid too much disconfort. Same for white lights, only red and UVs are usable.
  10. The issue with the tactical use of self-protection jammers is that it is not an on/off device. When it is working, it is in fact on an Auto position, and you in the cockpit are unable to decide who and when it is jamming. You can read in the cockpit what it is doing, but you can not influence it. It is true that keeping the jammer of will make you more discreet, but ont the fight has begun and the enemy knows you are there, you have much more to do than switching it on and off all the time. FAF rule regarding electromagnetic self protection is that it must be done as a combination of 3 actions : - jamming - decoying - manoeuvering Trying to escape an engaging threat without one of the 3 is considered inefficient.
  11. Nice work! Bingo sound is really missing hard... I am not 100% convinced by your "too slow" and "too fast" sounds. Did you come back to their definition? Great job anyway!
  12. Look at the start-up sequence : at which RPM do HYD lights disappear? You have your (in game) answer. With enough speed and air density you can keep something between 15 and 20% RPM but this just to wait for in flight start-up sequence. Who would want more than that???
  13. In fact EP will drain your battery within seconds, so no "fly to the crash site", but a few seconds to get in a suitable bail out position...
  14. You have a "gathering" fonction on the stick. No radar lock - > Magic search on alidade Radar lock - > Magic search on RDR target Magic lock - > radar auto-lock on Magic direction
  15. IRL it is not possible to lock 2 different targets with Magic and radar. Either radar is locked first and you can force the magic to look at its track, or the Magic is locked first and you force auto acquisition in its direction. In any case, if you are not happy with the first lock, you have to unlock both and return to acquisition phase.
  16. This is a fly by wire issue. MAN is the first level of FBW failure, MAN DOM BEC is the second, and add USEL for the third and last one. Check your "pelles", "becs" and "souris" switches on auto, and try a FBW rearm (press button on the landing gear panel).
  17. Hi, ACMI file is here! Thanks
  18. Only tacview recording. Interested? Otherwise I might try to refly that mission.
  19. My wingy was supposed to land. He prefered flying loopings. Forever...
  20. Yes it's quite realistic. The clouds and raindrops passing through the light are amazing. Boom drogue adapter is even smaller and darker... But you normally can adjust refueling light intensity. Tanker lights are the most important after all, since this is your only reference once you are inside.
  21. I can only confirm that: 300ft/ 500kt is what the CCIP mode on M2000 has been designed to do...
  22. Hello, Beware, IRL the "performance hole" at transsonic speed is only a fly by wire limitation, not an engine thrust\drag ratio issue. Which means that you are able to go through these speeds in level flight without difficulty. IRL the most touchy part is on the contrary deceleration : you are not allowed to go below 100% (i.e. max power without AB) until Mach 1.x otherwise you might deteriorate your engine. M2000 is a beast for high speed, especially without fuel tanks...
  23. Hello. Has anyone noted unwanted frequency changes since last update ? Like I made manual changes, my new settings are working fine, and then... Bam... Back to preset 01 and 01 on both radios... Annoying.
  24. Hi. I think you got it wrong in the manual. Stick position has nothing to do with sound logic. It is all linked to aerodynamic parameters.

    INS UPDATE

Hi Mario. I guess the video tutorial you watched were done on the former version of the M2000 cockpit. On the updated cockpit there is no more ENC button or EW box on the left side. Everything is fine now and more coherent with the real aircraft.
