just did a flight trough that canyon, if you follow the river at some point the river turns to the west and the road heads to the south, if you follow the road you will see a mountain pass at 8000feet alt. made some screenshots at that position :) map position: Outside view of that Position: one or two miles ahead of above screenshot, here goes the mountain pass road down to the other side.

if you start on Mozdok Airport an fly straight south until you reach vladikavkaz where the mountains start you will find a beautifull entrance to a deep 25nm long canyon. In the Canyon flows a river and there is a road with some little villages and in the boarder region you see high mountains (up to 10.000 feet) on the canyon sides. it is worth for a fast and low sightseeing tour :pilotfly: dont know if it is what you searching for, but i think its a great area for some action :)

that is because you have to move the throttle from off to idle, if that function would be on your throttle axis then every time you move your throttle to minimum your engines would go off. but if i were ED i would make the throttle clickable, for those who dont own a TM Warthog HOTAS. So just a click/or move with the mouse would move the throttle from off to idle instead a key combo.

I doubt we will see a DCS F-22 Raptor in the next 10 years, i think there is too much classified about that aircraft to do it in DCS style. -

Hi is there a reason why helicopters dont appear on the TAD with datalink? I made a mission with helicopters (Blackhawk + Apache) but i dont see them on the TAD. Aren´t they datalink compatible?

you can download beta 2 somewhere else and install it (in google you sure will find something), i have both installed beta 2 with nevada and Beta 3 in case i want to fly some desert action :D

with beta 4 expected in two weeks, i dont think of a 2010 release. but i prefer a good/allmost bugfree final version instead a rushed 2010 release. :)

i think the right order for learning the Hog is first read the manual, try things for yourself in quick missions and get a bit familiar with the cockpit and basic function and THEN go over to the training missions. without any knowledge just starting the training missions its a bit hard to understand what exactly the teacher is talking about.

ist das ILS eigentlich unabhängig vom altimeter? sprich wenn ich das altimeter falsch einstelle oder auf default lasse kann ich dann mitm ILS landen oder würde die falsche Altimeter einstellung sich auf das ILS auswirken also z.b. das mich das ILS dann in den boden vor die landebahn leitet? müsste man mal testen, aber denk mal die sind unabhängig da der ILS gleitstrahl vom flughafen sich ja in dem sinn nich ändert weil ich mein höhenmesser verstelle. weil sonst könnte man ja einfach bei nebel das ILS anmachen und auf den radarhöhenmesser gugn, bis das mit dem QFE gefixt ist.

habs grad mal getestet, also mir war so als wenn mir der tower in der Beta 2 eine vierstellige zahl gesagt hat also "QFE 29.69" oder so in der Beta 3 sagt er nur noch QFE 28 oder QFE 29... habs mal mit ner landung probiert wo er mir QFE 28 gesagt hat und auf 2800 gestellt und der flughafen lag gleich mal 300 fuss unter dem höhenmesser :huh: keine ahnung ob das ein bug ist, jedenfalls wo er noch vierstellige zahlen gesagt hat passte es eigentlich immer. Ansonsten lande ich sowieso immer visual oder nach dem Radarhöhenmesser ;)

Seite 122 im Handbuch, unterm Höhenmesser ist links ein drehknopf mit dem du den Höhenmesser verstellen kannst. Rechts in der Altimeter anzeige ist nochmal eine kleine Anzeige für den Luftdruck, die steht standardmässig auf 2998, mit dem drehknopf kannste das entsprechend den angaben des Towers einstellen.

the paddle isnt an axis, but you can map the W key on it for the wheel brakes. as long as you hold the paddle your Warthog will brake. works good for taxiing, for braking after a landing its a bit difficult because if you hold it to long your hydraulic press will drop with engines on idle. but for me the most times the runways are long enough to come to a stop with airbrakes only, so the wheel brake is for me only at taxiing.

With that new high detail of the F-15C/E in DCS-A-10C my guess is F-15C could be next, but thats only my guess ;) But i hope we will see a real multirole fighter, because i dont think we will see a F-15E Strike Eagle two seater, and F-15C isnt that good for ground attacks. i would die for an DCS F-16 Viper :joystick::D -
sieht nach höherwertigem hartplastik aus, allerdings bin ich da kein experte, fühlt sich aber nich so an als obs in den nächsten jahren auseinanderbrechen würde :smilewink: @Dragon: gute idee das mit dem slew für analog und dem DMS für digital shkval, so kann man den bug ausgleichen, mit analog schnell über die landschaft huschen zum feinjustieren mitm digital slew. PS: da isn tippfehler einmal steht "Timmer" ohne R am CMS switch und es heisst Wheel Brakes :)

over Las Vegas on the Nevada Map i only had 7 fps! But on caucasus its from 18 to 50 fps. everything over 25 fps is good. 1920x1080 all on High with HDR on.

i thought of building some similar dust covers for my HOTAS (because there wasnt anything available until now) :) but in my mind i would have added some square shaped fleece that covers the base plate of the stick too, so there wont be dust on it. maybe thats an idea for a second version of the covers? for those who want theirs HOTAS covered complety? i cant find the shipping information on that site, or i have first to register? how much it will be cost to ship to germany?

Nope, the DMS up/down zoom is showing in the top left corner above "wide/narrow" with "0Z" to "9Z" so the "M1" has nothing to do with the Magnification.

if you are fast enough and to low and fire the gun on a target direct in front of you it can happen that your ricochets bouncing from the ground hit your aircraft ;)

confirmed, real throttle friction is on the base left front, the fake friction can be used as game axis. (i use it as zoom view, perfect solution from Thrustmaster). :thumbup: -
if i hit a truck oder even a tank with a GBU-38 bomb from above it explodes imidiatelly. :huh:
