Hello, I printed the A10 manual a while back, in 3x ring bound volumes, black and white. I no-longer play DCS, but it would be a waste to throw them out so happy to pass them on for the cost of posting from the UK. Cheers

mm.. this last time it seems to have worked. No idea what I did differently.

I have the same problem, I think maybe I'm parking in the wrong place? (I parked it back where I found it). That video is not useful at all, he runs out of runway and gets stuck in the grass (and does not get mission complete, but the next video is somehow mission 2 anyway).

Ey oop Tyger, funny, I've just been playing around with DCS again the last week or two and I was thinking the same thing "I don't remember this game looking this good" :D Especially from the (low and slow) viewpoint of the Huey, looks pretty great now!

I fixed it :thumbup: After many many attempts and much blank staring at the config files I went in and edited the \DCS World\MissionEditor\data\scripts\Options.lua file and put in my resolution (4800x1200) and aspect ratio (4). I'm not really sure why this was needed on top of the monitorsetup.lua I created, seems redundant to me but at least I got there in the end. This just left me with poor side screen performance, which I solved by going to the windows classic theme. I have left the 'disable aero' unchecked and 'keepcomposition=1' for now, scared to touch anything now it's working!

I'm having some difficulties getting DCS World to work with SoftTH. I was on 1.2.1 and with a combination of creating a monitor setup file, unchecking the "disable aero" box in the options and setting keep composition to 1 in the softTH config file I managed to get it sort of working, although the keep composition option gives me a large lag on my side monitors. Now I'm on 1.2.2 and I can't get the mouse working correctly, the hot points for things to click on are all over the place. I think it's the problem which was cured by creating the monitor setup file before, but I've checked and double checked and all these three config edits are as they were.

I've also got a problem trying to click on stuff. I've been through that checklist and it hasn't helped (the lag on my side monitors is noticeably worse with "disable aero interface unchecked though!"). I didn't have this problem pre-DCS:World. To further explain, what happens is that when I launch a mission, I cannot click the 'fly' button, but if i start with the pause/break key I am able to look around the cockpit with trackir. My screens then seem to have zones where the cursor is the windows pointer and clicking has the effect of alt-tabbing (game freezes, can still hear sound effects). The rest of the screen gives me the yellow + cursor but I cannot click on controls. I have found that if I look directly down into the centre of the seat, I get a green arrow and can hear a sound when I click like it's switching a control, but it isn't one I can see from this position. I'm on the most up to date DCS World version, and SoftTH version, I have tried rolling back to 2.07 and 2.06 versions of SoftTH which hasn't helped. <edit> Okay I edited my MonitorSetup.lua and the mouse now works correctly if I have "disable aero interface" unchecked. Is there anything I can do about the large lag this causes on my side monitors?

Nevermind, seems the modifiers list was blank, added the shift/alt/ctrl/win keys and it seems happier :)

When I save my control profile does it just save a single column (joystick, keyboard, etc) at a time? I've been trying to get my head around how the control configuration files save/load features work and I've accidentally cleared the 'keyboard' column. I don't seem to have the defaults saved to restore, but when I use the 'default' button at the bottom of the screen it will not allow me to ok the screen, gives me an error. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v401/pixelpimp/Launcher2009-09-1721-10-21-65_crop.jpg How do I restore the keyboard controls?

Ah so that's what that was, I though it was just me!!! I tried to record this but could never seem to recreate the situation with fraps running. I thought it could't be a bug as the buttons would blink with some sort of significance. I'm still working my way through the flight manual so I guess that will be explained at some point!

That's it exactly! Thanks all, definately food for thought. Going to have to let my wallet recover a bit before making a decision (or keep my eyes peeled on fleabay).

Okay nevermind I sorted, just put my town and county in the City field and left the State field blank.

I'm trying to order the printed manual from the DCS website but each time I get passed to protx I recieve the following error: Status: INVALID Status Detail: 3130 : The BillingState value is too long. I sent the error to the email address suggested but have had no reply. Please help

I'm getting quite into blackshark but my old joystick's causing me problems so I've just ordered a cougar HOTAS to replace it. My old stick had a twist rudder but I understand the cougar does not so I need so sort out some pedals, I've a few questions about them though having never flown a real aircraft or used sim rudder pedals before. Are the two sides linked (push one and it pulls the other)? Are they sprung to return to centre? If they return to centre, how does this work with the trim, is it like the stick axis' where you must return to the centrepoint in .5s? Are the rudder pedals is a real helicopter any different from those in a plane? (I'm thinking I might make my own to keep costs down so I could incorporate any difference in my design). What are the cheapest pedals I can buy that arn't total crap, which work with a gameport?

I'd like a KA-52 option. Would be great in multiplayer and would also allow for 'flight training' if there was a way of one person pointing at a particular instrument in the cockpit so the other could see. Then somebody could teach me how to fly heli's as I'm struggling a bit with the KA-50 and there's not enough room on my lap :D

Hi all, Really for a stupid noobie question? I just bought the digital download version of DCS (english). I can't seem to find my serial key on the DCS website :helpsmilie: It's not the same as the order number or transaction ID is it? I've tried both and they don't work. Ta :thumbup:
