  1. A big lol at the title. Is there even any "in-game action screenshot" yet? That "soon" means 2-3 years in simming I think :)

  6. A demo would be very pointless. The expansion is about Ka-50, and guess what you have to put in demo? It would be like getting the game for free, remember the FC demo? People modded it and had the "unwanted features" right away!

  9. I agree with Witchking. Lock-On lacks immersion. The battlefield is way too sterile, but this is due to engine being too clumsy for too many objects. You can fly with 50-60 planes and many ground units in IL-2, yet you cannot exceed 20fps if you're over a city even with a clear mission in Lock-On.

  14. Still no vehicle damage modelling. It's still hitpoints-boom. Reminding again, it will be really boring without a vehicle damage model as they're our "toys" now with Ka-50.

  21. I'm not talking about new models while talking about attention, please look at my new post Alpha :)
  22. I'm not talking about "beautifully modelled vehicles". New toys and new features are different things. I'm talking about how they take damage and how they behave. Right now I't just based on a basic hitpoint system, and you don't get any effects other than just a simple burning one. I want vehicle complexity in a Helicopter sim, as now I'm closer to ground. I want to immobilize a tank, hit it's engine, or "tear" it with my 30mm shells with corresponding effects. I want them to throw their turret when "overkilled". Or put trucks out of commision without destroying them. I want them to take some kind of fragment damage when I shower them with my rocket pods. And so on . . . Not just "tanks take two vikhrs to magically burn, you need a direct rocket hit to kill trucks etc. . ." Also, let's not forget the AI of course. For example, I want them to manuever while attacking somewhere, and try to aviod my chopper. Give them some kind of self-initiative and so on :)
  23. Nah, I know that ED programmers didn't sleep a night just to get cigarettes in cockpit right. Vodka is the next step I'm afraid, so forget about that new models :P Yeah, postcount +1 :D
  24. Yeah I'm afraid of the fact that BS will be a wonderful helicopter simulator; but the detail will stay on helicopter, and ground units will not get any attention at all. So, we'll end up flying an awesome helicopter in an arcade vehicle world :) We should have improved vehicle logic, basic damage modelling for vehicles and right weapon effects on that damage modelling depending on where it's hit. Otherwise BS will be a boring sim, it will be just fun to fly the Ka-50, not going on missions just to get the same old results. This problem is not very visible on Su-25T as it's a plane, but when you add a helicopter, then details for vehicles should be upped.
