I'm not talking about "beautifully modelled vehicles". New toys and new features are different things.
I'm talking about how they take damage and how they behave. Right now I't just based on a basic hitpoint system, and you don't get any effects other than just a simple burning one.
I want vehicle complexity in a Helicopter sim, as now I'm closer to ground. I want to immobilize a tank, hit it's engine, or "tear" it with my 30mm shells with corresponding effects. I want them to throw their turret when "overkilled". Or put trucks out of commision without destroying them. I want them to take some kind of fragment damage when I shower them with my rocket pods. And so on . . . Not just "tanks take two vikhrs to magically burn, you need a direct rocket hit to kill trucks etc. . ."
Also, let's not forget the AI of course. For example, I want them to manuever while attacking somewhere, and try to aviod my chopper. Give them some kind of self-initiative and so on :)
