Is this POS 'recall' included with it? Perhaps it's already recording your secret moves in game
-
Correct. On the left/right sliders I had to bring the right image toward the center a few notches. On the up/down sliders I decided to bring both images equally up a bit. I 'seems' like the sweet spot got sweeter? The fish eye effect is noticeable at the very bottom of the total image. When in game though I'm completely oblivious to it. I notice it more in the SteamVR home view. After setting the offsets I went back to the IPD knob again and had to move the lenses closer 3 or 4 clicks to make the green reference lines perfectly clear and uniform on the right edge of the horizontal lines. A bit of a pain to set it all up. Now... I need to put couple of spot welds to keep it in place

I learned about updates from ED so until I'm positively certain all possible crap have been cleaned up and things are working 'for sure' not just in a changelog... I'm not updating anything. So far I haven't run into any issues... some 'weirdness' perhaps but eventually managed to work with it. So... my anti-update firewall is up for now, lol.

Well, since I'm the OP of this thread I might as well chime in briefly on my initial impression of Crystal Light. My last VR set was G2 so yeah... when I saw this headset I smirked a little but after playing with straps and the knob It feels OK. Now, the setup... The initial basic setup was quick and easy but to get a fairly clear image I had to look toward the tip of my nose and even clearer when I angled the right side of the set upward just a smidgen so I knew more had to be done... clicked on advanced options in PimaxPlay and instead of poking in the dark decided to check YT. Sure as heck, Sebastian Ang to the rescue, lol. He already had a vid showing a simple way to set the offset (left/right) with the help of controllers. It worked! I also had to bring the picture in both lenses up a bit. This part was trial and error but I finally got it! Looks great. So far I ran it at 90hz only. No problems noticed yet. I haven't tried any flight sims yet. (DCS uninstalled currently ) but I did burn a few tires in racing a sim (ACC) and I was quite happy with image and performance. I also monitored the temps, volts, loads etc. - cool as a cucumber. Well, the CPU (13900k) max volts were 'under control' now (lol) and never shot above 1.4v. I don't like having PimaxPlay, Steam, SteavVR windows all open during play but I'll see if I can tinker with this some more.

I'm still trying to figure out what brand of 'tobaccee' they chew Seems like they bypass internal testing and drop it down on our heads. Perhaps each item in the change log should have 'fixed-verified' or 'fixed-probably' note.

Best way to start landing procedure? Plus the ballooning issue

Sorry, I had to google... I'd guess he's probably crashing a lot these days. I might be wrong -
There are tons of them in the Razbam thread. They might be able to help with marital issues and... I think they also know how to fix the Mudhen radar
-
So now you need to show the devs how to do it. They might even have a copy of AVIRA, hehe.

Seems like we're heading in the right direction... https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/maladaptive-traits-ai-systems-are-learning-lie-and-deceive

I just saw one of his vids. He took a Hawk for a spin over the Mach Loop in another sim, remembering GOOD OLD DAYS. I actually watched the entire vid. It doesn't happen too often considering my attention span, then I tried to find out what his politics were in another vid and... He's all right in my book Now, oh yeah we're talking about flight sim training. In my opinion nothing compares to a well organized online squadron (free ) The question is which one. I can't make any recommendations now since I've been away from online activities for a long time but I'm sure few other folks here can probably give you some good advice. If you're a complete beginner you might prefer a laid back atmosphere and there are groups with this approach also. But... once you get up to speed, the fun begins... It's addictive, especially the inter squadron matches. Many times I had to get up at 3 AM to accommodate Aussie teammates and others but I didn't mind... I still had to go to work after that, lol.

At least there is communication... I'll give it a shot, see what happens.

Perhaps a little OT but a little fun fact... In DCS we loose a nose gear door at ~ 330, 340kts. Here's a clip (timestamped) from an interview with an ex Blues guy 'Feed' talking about a little incident with the nose gear popping open at 6.7g / M.99 https://youtu.be/ezHErcQ6880?si=30bwwEFwcJ-6BHFy&t=3328

Yes, misworded and mispuntuated relating to different part of your post... I had one eye on the Razbam thread, lol. Yeah, I should've deleted my reply immediately

Well, you caught it Foka

I know, this vid has been seen by most. Still, it's refreshing to see it again:
-
If you filter out the silliness you might find some 'dynamic' info there.
-
Well, good to hear... I'm still considering it after it showed back up... with 120hz refresh. The website this morning looked better, a bit more 'involving' to browse through all options and the availability timeline but that's OK
-
... last night I saw 2 vids on YT made by MRTV guy. Was this a 'glitch' on Pimax website? Anyone from Pimax cares to elaborate?

I'm too old, they won't grow any more . Practically, I don't give a s*** if I get hacked on a gaming rig. Actually, would be kinda fun to do some blue team stuff... with the help of some pro's of course, lol. What gets me is the arrogance of some companies. They'll throw you some crumbs, wrap them up anyway they want w/o any consideration of what happens downstream... drives me up the wall

M2000 DLL tagged as trojan with DCS 2.9.5.55918?
maxTRX replied to ataribaby's topic in Installation Problems
Their hands are washed clean with this EULA "...beyond reasonable control" - that's all I need to know. The updated packages are submitted to someone with reasonable control and of course that someone makes sure that all packages are tested thoroughly and not a single bug can slip through. The internal testers never seem to notice any... OK, one or two maybe. Who cares about some .dll alerts? Oh yeah, the testers probably have the entire DCS dir. excluded or simply don't use AVs. I admire their trust. I'm just a paranoid oddball. -
M2000 DLL tagged as trojan with DCS 2.9.5.55918?
maxTRX replied to ataribaby's topic in Installation Problems
It takes a bit more effort to configure properly, I think... BTW, few days ago my Defender almost gave me a heart attack. I left a copy of Kali Linux ISO in my D/L folder and forgot about it. When the Defender scanned my rig it went bonkers... around 50 severe/critical threats detected, lights flashing, sirens going off! . All these pen testing goodies... -
correct as-is HUD Designation with Mavericks
maxTRX replied to Callsign Munch's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've been away from DCS for a bit but if I remember correctly we already had it working at one time or another. BTW, do you have your JHMCS on all the time or just the HUD? -
If someone prepared it properly and extensively for the 'genre' I'd definitely buy it... so would DOD probably
