  1. No, it's broken in single player too. I was laying the Worlds Apart Campaign, and in mission 2 after the first cargo drop off. When i tried to pick up the next load from across the river i could not get it to connect and had this image the sling shooting off like this. The direction made me this it was trying to connect to the loads back in Batumi Harbor.
  2. Ok, This controller thing might be tied to OpenXR. I'm running a RiftS, And I was trying to figure out why half the settings in the tool kit didn't do anything. And I found BIGNEWY's post on disabling OpenXR and just using the OculusAPI. And it completely fixed the issue. OpenXR has Hand-to-Controller program that seems like you should be able to adjust the hand positions but none of it setting seem to work.
  3. That's how I started, and it was just kicking my ass. Then I noticed just how much yaw the probe actually causes. So for <profanity> and giggles it trimmed it out. and for me It made a huge difference so kept on with it.
  4. I got a question about how the tanker basket interacts when connected. I've finally got to the point where I can reliably plug (I still suck but at least I can get gas now). I always trim out the rudder once the probe is extended, trim pitch and roll as good as I can, wings in bomb mode. Strait and level everything seems fine. But in a turn things seem very counter intuitive. For the right hand orbit I seem to need a lot of left rudder. Just to hold position. Does the basket have its own drag applied once you connect?
  5. So far I'm enjoying this campaign, but Reforger 2 mission 3 is being a real pain. I keep running into multiple problems that are failing the mission. I run into one of two problems in the first mission area. First problem, after hitting the bunkers, Jester can not hit the mobile scuds. I usually have to go in and strafe them. Looking at the Tac-view is doesn't look like they are tracking the laser, just falling ballisticly and falling long, they weren't masked by me or the clouds. Or Jester will hit the bunker and the scuds, but Lead can't hit his second target. It looks like the thing moves into rubble. The bomb looks like a hit, but its not a kill. So I'm stuck just orbiting and never getting the rejoin. If I make it to the hinds, missiles are pretty much useless. They defeat the Sparrow ever time. Sidewinders are not useful because the flare every time. The one time did managed to kill them I wasted so much him trying to find and gun them, I didn't have enough gas left to make to the tanker. If I might suggest. Could it be set up that rejoining with Lead after all your bombs are drops Force an RTB, regardless of the remaining targets. Update. OK, I figured out how to complete it. If I re-input the laser code for the third and four targets, Jester has no problems hitting them. Leads targets moving into the rubble seems to be a random thing. And as far as the helos, as long as I hold fire till somewhere between min range and mid air collision, I seem to have no problem.
  6. It's not just a problem of where the glove is in X/Y/Z space. We need to be able to rotate the gloves on the axis. The orientation of the glove relative to the hand controller has changed. It's been like that since Stable DCS 2.8.4.39731, and was only a problem if I started the game up in Multi Threading (At least that's when I noticed it) It was noticeably awkward. I have no idea how to screen cap my Rift S controllers in game, so this is best I can explain it. Pre DCS 2.8.4.39731 Post DCS 2.8.4.39731
  7. Sorry I meant in an already generated mission.
  8. OK I have a two suggestions for the Mission planner page for single player. I almost always change the default mission load-out, to make sure chaff and flare are always loaded fully, or weapons I prefer more. Can we get an option to mirror the players load-out to the the entire flight. A check box for you wingman load out, and one for the other flight element. Also can we get some sort of drop down tab with at least allies units to be able to select them for their menu screen.
  9. So I just updated to Stable 2.8.4.39731 and ran in to an awkward problem with the VR hands/pointer. On the Rift S the pointer always followed your extended index finger which feels natural. But for some reason, when I run DCS with OpenXR and MT enabled it shifts the pointer line up like 30 to 45 degrees, which results in a lot of arm contortions be able to click anything below chest height in the cockpit. It's works like it always had if I run it without OpenXR and MT. I tried it with Mods disabled, made no difference.
  10. I'm running a Rift S. Where is this setting at. The only thing I can find from searches, is set it to "Run as administrator" And that doesn't work at all.
  11. Well I kind of figured out how to complete. With the default load out, Took off and immediately headed for the target at 100ft, didn't even wait for wingman, as fast as I could get without afterburner. Don't mid-air with the tomahawks. Set up to toss bomb, and radar off. 20 miles out, gave wingman "Attack and Rejoin" command. Ran in at 200ft made the drop and got back bellow 200ft and headed back out over water. Got engaged a Mig, Got stupid lucky, they were strung out enough, I downed first two with Sparrows, the third took two sidewinders to kill, and ended gun gunning the last Mig. Made it back to the boat with 400lbs. And then realized all the bombs missed
  12. Wait, I thought "Two, Ejecting" was a fuel state call.
  13. Same problem with me. I never had HAGS enabled. But this shutdown problem does not seem to happen consistently
  14. Cool. I figured the rain might have been a DCS'ism. Just wanted to verify
  15. I'm just starting the campaign and I have a questions about winds. Are the winds in the brief constant across the island or do they vary? Also what am I supposed to be using as my wind cues. In the first mission, the smoke and wind socks use at the HQ, and FOB are blowing in one direction, But the rain seems to be falling almost 180 degrees from that. It was something I didn't notice until. set up a crosswind approach to the landing sites to stay out of the smoke.
